I have an RH25 that I have decided to keep as a helmet mount/ scanner only. I was using it as a clip on in front of my Razor HD III 1-10x , but going back and forth from helmet to clip on was a pain. Im trying to decide on RH50Pro or this 50 Hybrid in combination with my Razor HD III. I have my Razor on a Badger 1.93 mount, so it should be the correct height.
Just out of curiosity did you ever end up getting the hybrid and testing it as a clip on? I’d love to hear some feedback. I’d primarily use it as a stand alone optic but the ability to use it as a clip on is intriguing to me.
I’m really curious about the battery. I live in southern Wyoming and most of the time over the winter coyote months I experience anywhere from 30 to -20 degrees all winter long. Does anyone have any real time experience on how these batteries stand up to the extremes? Do they fog up real bad going from truck to outdoors? I know the spec say -4 degrees but I can say I’ll be using in much colder temps. Thanks for any info. Great reviews as always!
The mount doesn’t work on my impact bolt action. I can’t open the bolt all the way as the bolt contacts the bottom of the mount. Major clearance issue here and the rifle will not fire. I was able to use the Iray alpha on the same rifle without any issue and shot a lot of coyotes with that model last year. Since no other mount exists for the hybrid you basically will have to mill part of the mount off if you have a bolt action clearance issue like mine. Definitely unfortunate bc the screen and display in the Iray hybrid is pretty amazing. I only have an issue with the oem mount not the hybrid itself. The image quality on the hybrid is as crisp as I’ve seen in a 640 12um
Is it not possible to flip the qd mount around and remove the spacer between the mount and optic to get it lower as a clip on? Im currently looking at this model for my 308 as a clip on and my optic is in a 1.7" badger ordnance mount which would give me enough clearance to mount the "long" end of the qd mount on the thermal under my daytime optic and save sone rail space.
@TheLateNightVisionShow the rifle I run my rh25 on is already heavy and long, but it lives on a tripod lol (17lbs, 49" long with suppressor) is that the only reason yall wouldn't recommend it or is the performance lacking as well on the higher end of day optic magnification? I'm running a 1-8 ATACR
We haven’t really noticed the Rico display being overly large compared to the Thermion or other optics. We admit we aren’t as sensitive to screen size as some users but the Hybrid display feels plenty large but not overly huge.
@@TheLateNightVisionShow ok. I love a large screen. I would be ok if my thermion was even a little bigger. Would you say this image is similiar to the T2 xp50 pro?
I think it’s better as a stand alone scope. A good friend has one and he has it and as clip on its bigger than most scopes you would mount it in front of. If you want a thermal scope buy this!!!!! If you want a clip on…. Keep looking. Sorry Iray I love your products but this is not a good clip on. Thank you Hans and Jason
We don’t make ‘em but we tell the truth about them! It’s definitely a fantastic scope but hope we explained enough about the clip-on function for people to understand the limitations. Thanks for watching
Why not do a show about affordable thermals and night vision for the hardworking everyday kinda guy that might not can afford a $17k dollar scope. Looking at your store it seems you only “review “ what you are selling or what someone sent you. Show seems biased to me
Thanks for watching. We review most every optic we sell. The thermals we sell start at $2,000 and go up. We also sell and review night vision scopes that start at $500. We have a “Best of” series of shows we put out every year where we list our favorite optics, all the way down to the entry level models. You are correct that we only review optics we sell. It wouldn’t make much sense for us to review optics we don’t sell? But what you don’t see are all the scopes we choose not to sell or review because we don’t like them, they are poor quality, they are bad value for the dollar etc. We are not going to waste our time on negative reviews, when we barely have time to review all the scopes we really like. If you call us we are more than happy to help you find the optic that works best for you and fits your budget. We’d love to have your business.

We’re not sure if that would work but we would NOT recommend this as a clip on. It’s just waaaay too big, long and heavy.

Hek yeah looks like they finally record the pip mode
That is true! Thanks for watching!
How does the size of this display compare to the thermions?

Thank you for watching! You make some very valid points…
Anyone know if it has picture-in-picture like the AGM Rattlers
Yes sir all iRay, Pulsar and AGM’s have PiP. Feel free to give us a call if you have more questions. We’d love to have your business. 877-350-1818
Imagine did look VERY nice…. Everything else is ok.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Can see the train wreck trying to use this as a clip on. What’s the point? It would weigh a ton and wouldn’t be manageable or reliable!
