''അയ്യാസ്വാമികളുടെ പ്രവചനങ്ങൾ ''
യോഗാചാര്യനും പണ്ഡിതനും ഗ്രന്ഥകാരനുമായിരുന്നു തൈക്കാട്‌ അയ്യാ സ്വാമി(1814 - 1909). ശ്രീനാരായണ ഗുരുവിന്റെയും ചട്ടമ്പിസ്വാമികളുടെയും ഗുരുനാഥനായിരുന്നു അയ്യാസ്വാമികൾ. കാശ്യപഗോത്രജനായ മുത്തുകുമാരന്റെയും സൈവ വെള്ളാള സമുദായാംഗമായ രുക്മിണി അമ്മാളുടെയും മകനായി
1814-ൽ മലബാറിലെ പാമ്പുംകാട് എന്ന സ്ഥലത്തു ജനിച്ചു. തമിഴിൽ അസാമാന്യ പാടവമുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പിതാവിൽ നിന്ന്
ആ ഭാഷയിൽ പാണ്ഡിത്യം നേടി. മാതാപിതാക്കൾ നൽകിയ പേര് സുബ്ബരായർ എന്നായിരുന്നു. ഉദ്യോഗാർഥം ദീർഘകാലം തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് തൈക്കാട്ട് താമസമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെയാണ് തൈക്കാട് അയ്യാസ്വാമി എന്ന പേരിൽ ഇദ്ദേഹം പിൽകാലത്ത് പ്രസിദ്ധനാകാൻ ഇടയായത്.
ആയിരത്തി എൺപത്തിനാല്‌ മിഥുനമാസത്തിലെ അവസാന ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച (1909 ജൂലൈ 13) പതിവു പോലെ ശ്രീമൂലം തിരുനാളിനെ മുഖം കാണിക്കാൻ അയ്യസ്വാമികൾ പോയി. അടുത്ത ചൊവ്വാഴ്ച്ച താൻ സമാധി ആവാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചു എന്നറിയിച്ചു. "മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കാൻ പാടില്ലേ?"എന്നു ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ "ഇല്ല. നിശ്ചയിച്ചു പോയി" എന്നായിരുന്നു മറുപടി.
താൻ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട രണ്ടൂ കാര്യങ്ങൾ മറന്നു പോയിരിക്കാം എന്നു മഹാരാജാവു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഇളയ തമ്പുരാട്ടി (സേതുപാർവതിഭായ്) നാലു വർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞ് ഒരു ആൺകുട്ടിക്കു ജന്മം നൽകുമെന്നും ആ കുട്ടി നല്ല മഹാരാജാവാകുമെന്നും എന്നാൽ "കടശ്ശിരാജാ" (അവസാനത്തെ രാജാവ്) ആയിരിക്കുമെന്നും പ്രവചിച്ചു. (അൻപതു കൊല്ലത്തിനു ശേഷം രാജാവില്ലാതാകുമെന്ന്‌ സ്വാമികൾ മുൻ കൂട്ടി കണ്ടു)
ആ രാജകുമാരന്റെ പന്ത്രണ്ടാം വയസ്സിൽ കർക്കിടകത്തിലെ അമാവാസി കഴിഞ്ഞ്‌ ഒരാഴ്ച ആലസ്യമായിക്കിടന്ന്‌ മഹാരാജാവ്`നാടു നീങ്ങുമെന്നും സ്വാമികൾ പ്രവചിച്ചു. തുടർന്നു താഴെപ്പറയുന്ന പാട്ട് ചൊല്ലി
“ ഭാരതത്തിൽ കറ്റാഴനാർ പട്ടെനെ‌വെ പരവുകാലം
കന്നിയർകൾ വാസമില്ലാ കാട്ടുമലർ ചൂടും കാലം
വന്മാരി പെയ്താലും മഴ കോപിക്ക
വൻ കൊലയും വഴി പറയും മികവുണ്ടാം
കട്ടത്തുണിക്കും കഞ്ചിക്കും മക്കൾ കൈയേന്തിനിർപ്പാർ
വടനാട് വേറ്റുരിമൈയാകും തിട്ടംതാനെ"

''.കൊട്ടാരത്തിൽ നിന്നും മടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ പുത്തരിക്കണ്ടം വരമ്പിൽ വച്ച്‌ അയ്യങ്കാളിയെ കണ്ടു."ഉന്നുടെയ ഫോട്ടോ രാജാക്കൾ വയ്ക്കിറേൻ.. ശ്രീമൂലം സഭയിലും ഉനക്കു പോകലാം" എന്നനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
രണ്ടും ശരിയായി. അയ്യങ്കാളി പിൽക്കാലത്തു ശ്രീമൂലം അസംബ്ലി മെംബറായി.അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ പ്രതിമ അനാഛാദനം ചെയ്തത്‌ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഇന്ദിരാഗാന്ധിയും.''
