I think this map would've been alot better with the traditional rules rather than eliminating most of the map with the first hint. Felt like we barely saw any of the map since if they didn't go there in the first 2 minutes they just skipped so much.
Agreed, "Hud & Seek" is too easy.
It's worth noting though that the traditional hide and seek rules would have probably led to the hiders destroying their own hiding spots since so many of them were destructable :p
@@your_sweetpea Thats 100% correct as most of the map was built out of destructible painted blocks.
@@suicidalbanananana How so? This is the "easiest" and shortest map of the entire series, other hud-n-seek videos still took upwards of 10 or so minutes to find people. Plus the map was 100% destructible and that would have been worse as a hint. There's also usually 4 players, in this there was only 3.
A nice twist to HUD & Seek is to use the spad(spud?) Gun and aim down the sight when its hints time so that your view is much smaller
Its a spud gun since it shoots potatos, though they go at such a speed its hard to tell lol. But yeah this is a really good idea! HUD and seek is quite fast with the full view.
@@hagangray8006 you can see the projectile if you build a turret and then run away from it really really fast
A beautiful map! We've seen popular video game levels turned into hide & seek maps (like Complex from Goldeneye/Perfect Dark), but I had never considered turning a MAP SELECTION SCREEN into a hide & seek map! Very cool idea!
This map was done a bit dirty with "Hud & Seek" as it's a fairly small, non-dense map. I don't know a good solution to this as giving the players enough time to feel out the size and density of a map before playing will also ruin the majority of the hiding spots, and we can all agree that them playing this when everyone knows every hiding spot simply wouldn't be fun to watch.
If you went here to say that you didnt read the whole text, i did and he just said that the map is cool and its a good idea to make a map of the map selection

Definitely gotta do this map again but allow moving between spots. It'd be so good
Honestly, if Kan hadn't been so insistent on breaking into Scrapman's spot, he probably could have won. Considering how quickly he found the switch once he actually started looking for it. Without trying to be mean, it honestly seems like his try-harding tends to just cost him the game, instead of win it.

Multiplayer Monday hide and seek idea. Each person picks a map. They get unlimited time to learn that map the other 2 get dropped in with no prep time
No moving
No hints
No hud
It's overworld from super mario world from the Super Nintendo. Feels like 1991 again.
this probably would have worked better as normal HnS considering half of you guys where found pre hud hint xD
I think the mario in the water spot was actually the least likely to be found.

Hey scrapman, you should totally retry making the car that has a rope that stops itself from falling to its death in trailmakers with the new block! It didnt work very well back then due to the hinges breaking, im sure you could do it now! Just a suggestion lol

No more Hud and seek pls. Hide and seek with spud hints was so much more entertaining.
Kosmo is fine. That was a part of the map. Kan literally broke through the map
i agree with that but kosmos still technically went outside of the playing field. its an oversight by the map creator.
@FeuerToifel technically he was still in the map. Where can went he could see the challenge arena scenery. Kosmo just went into the "backrooms"
Taking advantage of a mistake made by a (first-time) map creator is entirely different than doing something questionable yourself. We expect hiders to push the jump button as they reach their hiding spot. We don't expect hiders to use their spud guns to drill through the level boundaries to reach clearly unintended areas.
Kosmo found a spot the creator forgot to put a ceiling on, that's fair game. Kan shooting out parts of a level isn't acceptable unless you want every match to turn into destroying everything and ignoring the switch spot aspects (which have always been the entire point of this mode.)

Do a dog fight where you have to build a plane but spin a wheel for each person to decide which plane that person will participate with for the round then respin the wheel for the next round
Love Kan humming the underground theme while hiding, it 100% would have psyched me out as a seeker, just like "oh damn, is he doing that because he's underground or just to mess with me"
Damn kan cheated hardcore by breaking into Scrapman spot I feel like that's a disqualification
kan is physically incapable of not cheating in some way at Hide and Seek - its always something, every week without fail. Its best to just ignore it, or it'll really start to upset you.

Could a hide and seek mode be possible where you build a hiding spot? You start with a choice of building materials that are on the map and make a new spot somehow.. Build&Seek?

Day 2: Asking scrapman to play KSP or KSP 2
( so I am going to teach you some basic rocket science! In KSP 2 / 1, TWR (Thrust-to-Weight Ratio) is crucial for a successful launch. It compares your rocket's "push" (thrust) to its weight.
Think of it like a tug-of-war: Your rocket needs to win against gravity by having more thrust than weight.
Why is TWR important?
TWR above 1: Your rocket has enough "push" to lift off.
TWR around 1.33 (ideal for crewed ships): You achieve a balanced launch, not too slow or too fast.
Too high TWR: You risk putting too much stress on your rocket, potentially causing explosions and harming your Kerbals.
Calculating TWR:
TWR = Engine Thrust (Newtons) / Rocket Mass (kg)
You can find this information:
Engine Thrust: Listed in the engine's description within KSP 2.
Rocket Mass: Viewable in the VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) under the "Mass" tab.
Remember:
Aim for a TWR around 1.33 for crewed launches in KSP 2.
Use online resources or in-game tutorials for in-depth calculations and advanced strategies.

Anyone else old enough to hear the old Super Mario World overworld song playing as they were previewing the map? Also if the creator of this map is watching this and also bothers to read comments, you missed probably one of the biggest easter eggs you could have put down for a hiding spot that would have separated those who played SMW and those who haven't and that's making some of the castles open up if they look up. Like if you haven't done that, make that a thing where there are switches just within the doorway of some of the haunted houses and castles. That was "the thing" that I carried on to so many games. There's a door.....I can't get into it....Up! [Enters door.] Alright, just like I thought.

Idk which one [HUD and Seek] and [Hide & HUD] is better (IMO Hide & HUD sounds better + it makes sense as you're hiding and HUDing)

How about if you allow the seeker to have HUD on during the 2 minutes of hiding time, including looking around all he wants. But never again. Most maps have seeker rooms in a place that would still make it hard to pinpoint where they saw the name. But with the normal audio hints at the 2 minute intervals, it could be just enough.
I feel like Kan breaking the spot to find Scrapman would've been a disqualification had he not come in last anyway.
Make a completely breakable map.
Hide like normal. Seeker cant press buttons, has 1 minuts to pick a spot, and find the togets by shooting
Do a hide and seek but you each make 1/4 of the map. After you join them together you start. However you can’t hide in your own section

If you are not allowed to move when using your hint, you shouldn't be able to use an elevator for free movement. Feels like cheating. Make a rule against it.
its a cool map but there's nothing quite like waiting 2 weeks for a multiplayer monday, only to be met with my least favorite game type.
i have an idea for maybe ne of yalls hide and seek episodes. maybe try finding a scrap mechanic backrooms hide and seek map, i feel like that would be really funny to run around the backrooms trying to find people
i like the video if youtube would let me watch it... im stuck in 10 second intervals as it wont load more than that till i caught the video up and then it takes5 minutes to load the next 10 seconds. and no other site does this just youtube....

You guys should do a hide and seek map building contest. Ie each person builds their own hide and seek map. And then each is the seeker on their own map.

Massive missed opportunities in this map. The hiding spots should all have been in secret level and item shop locations.
My thirst for hide and seek was satisfied so I guess I will be nice this time.

IDEA: Hide and Run
So just normal hide and seek but as a hint the seeker doesn't move (they can turn but not walk) and the hiders have to change spots and the hider can change spots and run from the seeker when found but when shot with the spud gun they are out
