@@SkwidyFishing fishing solo in a 16ft boat about 35 miles offshore isn't exactly fun. You guys are lucky you have deeper water closer. 35 miles out I'm only in about 150ft. I would have to go 80 miles for anything over 300ft deep.
damn well at least you got a taste of the marlin's strength but still painful wen u worked and waited for a long time only to be denied. good haul on the tuna. that skippy's 'electric blue' kinda reminds me a bit of the 'blumo' vein paint haha looks like ur sorted with lot of bait and berley
Just a small taste in some poor weather! Marlin are like that, hard to hook and harder to keep hooked. It could take many years to ever get one boat-side, but it wouldn’t be special if it wasn’t hard. Loved getting into more tuna again, i sure have missed them!
Last year off Atlantic City NJ USA I lost 2 80 plus lb wahoo next to the boat. One chewed the mono and the other just popped off. I literally cried 😂
I feel your pain 🥲

Bummer on the marlin. Those tuna baits will result in some good future sessions I'm sure
