SeeTowSam As far as I know, everything that "is" (or is combined with) carbon IS actually organic (by definition) Instead of organic you could say "contains carbon"
@Countryen 3 Years late and you probably know this by now but for anyone who is destined to read this in the future - What makes compounds organic are not only the fact that they contain carbon, but that the compound must contain Carbon-Hydrogen bond, that is, an organic compound must contain Carbon Covalently bonded with Hydrogen in order for it to be considered Organic. For instance, Carbon Dioxide (CO2), contains Carbon but isn't an organic compound because it doesn't contain carbon-hydrogen bond(s),
@@stavshmueli6932 add one more point that all the carbon containing compounds are organic if they dont dissociate in water in the forms of ions and conduct electricity. if the c containg compounds dissociate in ions in aqua they arnt organic at all.
This is the best channel on youtube. Thank you khanacademy!!
Thank u soooooo much khan academy this helped me a lot

This guy's voice gets really annoying after a while. I hate how he repeats himself.
