I’ve always had immense respect for Jared. I know like he’s more noticed for of course his appearance but he’s not only talented without a doubt, - And i’m not sure if others see this but i hope they do- he has a huge heart. Because of what he does for a living it is hard to kind of zone in on certain issues outside of yourself and I’m very very happy that he’s deciding to do this project. BeepDoo BopLop Jared used to work for me when he was a teenager and I was friends with his brother, Shannon (went by Carl back then) and he was ambitious kid. I never thought he would have the success he’s had and I’m very happy for him. However, my problem with him and especially Gore in the interview is both have a far larger carbon footprint than 99% of the people in the world. Please don’t preach when you choose to have multiple mansions, fly around in private jets and I know Gore has a fleet of gas guzzling SUV’s. I’m all for reducing our carbon footprint and as a scuba diver for over 30 years I’ve seen firsthand the destruction of our coral reefs that were thousands of years old, that were i colorful and incredible beautiful teeming with life, and now 90+% bleach out and dead. There’s also so much plastic in the ocean that we need to do everything we can to clean that up too as soon as possible. Not trying to hate, just being real.
You continue to amaze us Jared. You are not just talented and beautiful but also caring. These awareness videos are done beautifully and very informative. Its great that it is done in a very creative way that people end up feeling determined and responsible to care, that is only my opinion cause it is how I feel. We need to understand of the .041% of the atmosphere that is CO2, industrialisation and humans contribute 4% of that total the other 96% comes from natural sources (oceans and biosphere) I am not arguing that man has no impact on global warming and agree that we are polluting the planet and we would do well to address these issues. I like the work of Bjorn Lomborg and Michael Shellenberger regarding the above issues. If we really think that charging more for power that will disproportionally affect poor people and poorer countries we are deluded.
