Please, no guest characters. We shouldn’t be getting any more non-Mario characters when there are still hundreds of Mario characters who are actually deserving of getting in
THANK YOU, everyone wants a bunch of characters from other series when it’s MARIO kart. And there are so many more Mario characters to add. We really got splatoon squids before Kamek. Plus there are guys like E Gadd who would be cool instead of Zelda or someone like that.
@@archer5834 While I agree that it should stay Mario Kart and Mario characters should have the highest priority, I'd like to see characters such as Samus and Kirby joining the game. This is Nintendo's only racing IP that is being actively developed at the moment and is the most popular, so having at least the main characters of other Nintendo series in the game would be nice, as this is the only racing game where they can do so.
However, it is indeed really bizarre that we got Inklings before Kamek but also returning characters like Diddy, Funky, etc.
@archer5834 we don't need another "everyone is here" like smash, but still, Link is a cool character, and I think he perfectly deserves a spot in the game.
I been saying this for many years but like the next new Mario kart game better be huge and I mean like MASSIVE. It’s been 10 years now and it’s Nintendo’s best selling series. So it better have like over 100 unique characters, at least 30 cups with 5 tracks each, lots of karts combinations, LOTS of big and creative modes that are all different from eachother and so much more stuff too. I know it sounds unrealistic but man… it’s been over 10 freaking years so they had all the time in the world for it😭

Yeah, Nintendo might as well just continue MK8D forever if you expect all that, most people NEED to be happy with 8 cups 4 tracks each at minimun if they really want another Mario Kart, if Nintendo is expected to do THIS, then hopefully they cancel every other game they have so their developers don't overwork themselves AND the game isn't a rushed mess with N64 ugly graphics

@@mariotheundying Yeaaah ik, yet I feel like they could do it. We started with 4 in the first 4 games, then we went to 8 in the next 4 games, so I think adding 4 more would be a cool thing.

It’s because the mushroom gives a bit of invincibility, so if you time it right (its not hard to) you can dodge it, but you can’t do it with boost panels because they don’t give you any sort of invincibility at all

I think Story Mode itself could make or break Mariokart.
If we were to have a good story, possibly new villains with lots of Mission-Mode like challenges to complete, that would be perfect.
But if it was just something like... Beat the racer. Time Trial. Etc.... I wouldn't get it.
Also having mission mode with Bowser or something as a villain kinda destroys the in game universe, where everyone is at peace and racing, or are just actors like in SMB 3 (I think).
Yeah definitely I think getting it right could be hard but if they do it would be so cool. Definitely think the story should just be something lighthearted maybe even a new villain and bowser and Mario have to work together maybe.
Least biased wii stan (literally mk8d has a vs race feature where you can customize all of the race setting including items and choice/amount of courses)
Mario Kart DS actually had a story mode with Boss fights. But Nintendo is refusing to bring it back, even after 20 years.
The vast majority of those "characters" from Tour consisted of alts. XD

In some city tracks in Mario kart 8 deluxe, they have implemented the track changing every lap already, but it barely changes anything and I would love a more extreme version of it in the future.

Literally make it so you can only take each route once on yoshi valley to avoid the left and left again problem
Maybe add a option where you can create your own preset of of a character kart ect.
Maybe even where you can create custom paint decals for your kart. As well as add an achievement option that when you complete one you get either a new character /skin so you could have like the holiday themed characters or similar skins.
That would be so cool. Making custom designs for your karts would be amazing.
2 Things I want to see in Mario kart 9:
1. Better hang glider mechanics
2. More tracks based off cities/tracks that change routes each lap

12:28 100% agree with blocking being way to easy. Double dash had it right where you couldn’t trail the item so you had to throw it behind you at the last second. The next Mario kart game needs character specific items like in tour and double dash. Maybe they could even add skins for characters so if a character you like doesn’t have an item you want to get you could still play as them but in a different outfit. They also should add a mode where you can play as two characters in one kart like in double dash. I always thought it would have been perfect on the switch since one of the whole gimmicks of it is that the console has two controllers so you can easily play together with people. Trying to communicate so you can work together to switch between who’s driving and who’s throwing items would have been perfect for the console with how it can be played in tabletop mode.
Call me crazy, call me biased, but think mkw was peak. Why dont we just have mk10 be scaled down from mk8dx and be more like mkw in the sense where we have a lesser but still effective roster, lower selection of good tracks instead of a bit of everything, and keep the item system on a more basic level instead of a mario party type item system with too many items to learn how to use in actually skillful ways. Mk as a series has js been ruined the more that's been added to it. Mkw was js peak mk imo
What makes MKW peak isn’t the things you said. It’s the game itself. CTGP shows that.
They need to create a game that has a high skill ceiling, and a lot of tech with realistic MKW style graphics.

For the mechanic thing
"Split second" map fuckery where if you have enough of a specific set of 3 bars, when activated you cause a big part of the track to completely change
no-one wants a smash situation
they should just port the tour drivers into the next Mario kart as unlockable skins

With most RUclipsrs with a subscriber count on the smaller side I could tell within a couple seconds that they are newer to content creating, you on the other hand were somehow able to fool me. Your thumbnail is perfect as it's eye catching with it's simplicity yet it is able to get the viewer questioning what the video could be about, the same goes for the title, the way you capitalize destroy drew my eyes to it and made me click on the video. If you were a bit more popular I'm sure this would go crazy in the algorithm. Great job with this and keep it up because you will definatly grow very quickly if you keep producing content like this.

My only expectations for 9 is to premiere at least as good as base launch as Wii, and to exist.
Mario Kart is intrinsically enjoyable and has nothing to prove to me besides the dedication to being a visual and audio masterpiece as well as the justifiably historic Mario-themed Kart Racer.

Red shells are red pikmin
Blue shell is a blue pikmin or pink pikmin
Green shell is glow pikmin
Lightning is yellow pikmin
Piranha plant is bulborb
Triple/Golden/Mushrooms are that spicy spray thing
Your car turns into oatchi/moss when you use a star
Bomb is the bomb rock that yellow pikmin use
Also for the pikmin map, they better make it night time when someone enters lap 3 which adds more enemies/obstacles
Anyways, Nintendo could take like 8 years and I wouldn't mind (COUGH) PIKMIN 4 (COUGH)
MK9 should introduce flying
Force everyone into the same height in the sky and edit the items to make them fly too

aaaaaand you lost me in the first minute with non-mario characters. I'm not saying I don't want them out right. I love riding the inkling's karts, but there's so much wasted potential from Mario games that I feel should join the roster of a *Mario* Kart game before characters like Link or Kirby. In a perfect world we would get a whole slew of Mario characters and have enough room for other Nintendo franchises as well, but that costs dev time.
i think it would be cool if there was a sort of hub world where you could see connections from certain tracks to others, like, for example, if coconut mall was close to toad's factory or something. wouldn't be really practical but there's room for improvement

They're amazing and make mkwii my favorite Mario kart...but they do completely break the game tbf.
There's no possibility for variety because they were overpowered.
They should call it Mario Kart X since Tour was the ninth game.
I wouldn't really say Mario Kart Tour was ever really mainline. And even if it was, it was more kind of a Mario Kart 8 1/2.
When mario kart 9 drops along with the "Switch 2" And i just bought it just want to be able to take it to a family day and give my nephwes my third party switch 1 controllers that i already have and play with my nephews and the rest off my family and friends (Inshort what i want all the controllers that work on the current switch all work on the "Switch 2") So i can give that to friends or family to just jump in mario kart 9 without giving them the small joycon
I feel like the best thing to do for the series’ inevitable new entry is for Nintendo to put all the resources they have into it.
It needs to be the game to launch Nintendo in the new era of bigger games and even if it’s the most expensive game they make yet, it’ll be worth it
