I upgraded my FTX Carnage, put a 3600kv motor in it and got all the aluminium steering arms, hubs, wheelie bar etc. One thing that annoys me is when I upgraded to the ally servo saver and the steering ackerman bar, the bar rubs on the drive shaft hub which hinders my steering from straightening up after turning right, pretty deadly at the speeds my Carnage does now! Got a steel spur gear and upgraded the pinion also, it's insane acceleration and speed wise!
The motor in this is a 4370kv absolute beast I've only ever run it on 2s not to sure what it's like on 3s haha Yeah I have the same issue with the steering arm I ended up taking it back off and putting standard plastic one back on 👍🏻 Great car once you do a few upgrades to increase the durability.
@@BigBadBobsRC Oh wow that must be a rocket with that motor! Disintegration on impact I bet haha! Yeah I might do that, I was thinking of it as the dodgy steering causes unnecessary crashes or bad landings from jumps. I was thinking of filing down the shaft hub a bit to see if it helped.
@@NBKRebelGamer87 Yeah the thing is a beast it keeps up with the Rival MT10 on 3s, Worth I try filing the arm down 💪🏻
@@BigBadBobsRC I've also been advised to get a stronger steering servo, go up to 35kg as I am having trouble with the wheels not centering.
I put the plastic steering bar back on and although no rubbing on the shaft hub the wheels don't center still causing the car to drift to one side even after centering the steering trim. Pain in the ass this car is. I spent so much time and money on upgrading I want to get it right.
I just bought an Arrma Vorteks but I won't give up on the Carnage lol.
My bro nearly bought the MT10 but got the FTX DR8 instead.
@BigBadBobsRC I looked at my one the other day, and noticed it only had rwd front wheels was not spinning, any idea what it could be, all the drive shafts are in ?
Hi pal, Make sure the grub screws are tight on the main drive shaft some times they can come loose then it doesn't hold the shaft proper or sometimes the wheel nuts can come loose or the nut behind the wheels has rounded off and no longer a hex shape, Hope this helps thanks for watching 💪🏻👌🏻

The Ram raider has a different chassis to this FTX Carnage 2 different cars
@@BigBadBobsRC oh right looking to upgrade servo and the lower and upper suspension arms front and rear as fronts keep popping out upgrade to metal or aluminum parts like to upgrade all plastic parts really

I do the same as you, only I don't know how to give the battery now
