My Recap of Events since My Arrest in Natchitoches, Louisiana

  • I was arrested on Jan 22 at 1230 in the library with Officers Davis, Miller, and Favors. Who asks for the cops names? Right. I was taken to the police station jail for 2 hours while Davis and Favors try to figure out how they can search my computers. Then, I was driven to the Detention Center, where Officer Davis stole my magnets. I stayed until Manuary 26, which should have been 25, but the guards or Judge Lala Sylvester, forgot about me. I talked on a phone with Lala, who told me my bail was $1500. There was no prosecutor involved in the Bail setting, only the jail guard in the room with me acting as the prosecutor. I called AB Bail, Brandon Berryman, who accepted my Bail, and asked for $220 cash. I was driven from the jail to the police station, in a police car with Officer Lee, where Brandon was waiting for me. I was able to pay Brandon the full amount because I always keep a large stash of cash in my car. Then, I spend a lot of time researching and investigating the Louisiana laws. Prosecutor Cloyd Benjamin told me to, "do whatever it is you had to do". The City Clerks tell me to go through the District Clerks. The District Clerks deny any jurisdiction over me. I learned that even though the District Attorney may have an office in the District Court, that all my business was to be done at the City Courthouse. So, focusing upon the city courthouse, I learn that there is a monthly criminal hearing for all the accused. Even though my scheduled Hearing was for May 11, I could choose any date sooner than that. So I requested Feb 15, their next date. I prepared for my Hearing as much as I could. Help from RUclips started to trickle in. I submitted a Request for Discovery of Evidence, Motion for Bill of Particulars, Motion to Recuse. Motion to Dismiss Case, Motion to Suppress Evidence. I finally recieved the prosecutors evidence right at the Hearing, and he said on record that the evidence has always been available for me to pick up from his office.
Im still trying to raise money for my struggling lawyer. He has an infant, 4.5 months old, that he has to take care of himself sometimes.

    Greetings, Friends of Travis!
Some time today, the fractional milestone of 2/3 (66.67%) will be reached, when the $$ goes past $12,466. Travis got bail set (based on filing of appeal, funded here!) and got bailed out of NPDC at 7pm, May 3, due to the awesome kindness of local angel lady [Name awaiting permission] who took (my) cash to the police station and took care of the paperwork. She got a few photos, but got quickly shut down by an officer who said "You ain't fittin' ta be filmin' in heaah."

    Greetings, Friends of Travis,
We're at 57% of the revised goal now. (See why the goal was moved upward on the main page.)
Travis's attorney is Philip B. Adams of Shreveport. Mr. Adams is showing an impressive and impassioned interest and energy, and there is a team trusted by Travis providing Mr. Adams with details enabling court filings. I (Robert Lewis Parker) am face-forward only because a) somebody needs to be, and b) I attended the trial and made record of the events. If you need any further assurances, please email me at HeinzeTravisty at gmail, and I'll take care of your needs.
On April 25, four motions were filed: Motions for a) Post-verdict judgment of Acquittal, b) New Trial, c) Bail, d) Intent to Appeal.
On April 27, filed was a Motion to Stay Sentence.

Wow, Travis's friends. What a week. Your generosity is incredible. The $$ numbers are better than they look. My travel (rental car and gas only - my flights were on frequent flyer rewards) and secretarial expenses (printing, copying, office supplies), originally planned to be covered in this fundraiser, are being covered privately by several donors.
Travis has engaged an attorney and proceeds toward appeal. Most of his focus is on that process, but it's herky jerky with messaging on the inmate system and Travis's limited phone call time so even I don't have full report. He blew through his initial allotment of phone time calling attorneys. But it will get done, and it's your donations that enable paying for the attorney knowledge to get it done. I hear over and over that Louisiana is different.
I would like to be providing more detail, and you deserve it, but there are enemies of Travis in Natchitoches so we'll remain tight-lipped until papers are filed publicly.
Be well, and Travis thanks you!

A silly badge makes a "cop" altruistic... or maybe it's that 99.9% of cops are just good people to start... there is no ill will so trust them... no need for personal liberty... cop asks for ID... just give it, no questions asked... this infantile mentality is a total misunderstanding about what the purpose of "LEA" actually is and the type of people who STAY in and advance in these criminal organizations. Sounds to me like the Judge needs to be investigated along with the cops for their obvious lack of knowledge on the Constitution and the law. The cops especially. As for the library employees, paranoia and a lack of knowledge of the Constitution and the law, they should be ashamed of themselves. Unbelievable you can be found guilty of a crime that does not exist.

I'm 100% confident this sickening ruling from that corrupt judge will be overturned, either in state Supreme Court or Federal Circuit court. Then please sue them for at least $100,000 for the rights violations and the pain and suffering they put you through.

That ending was hilarious, I couldn't stop laughing (only after I knew you're ok)! That was on par with Steve Martin when you were throwing all that stuff up from the floorboard. I think all your real fans were very glad to see you on the road again, you looked happier than we have seen in a while. You make a better entertainer than Lawyer! That is the kind of stuff that will keep people watching your videos, and keep you making money on youtube. All the legal stuff is kind of over our heads, and boring. We want to see Travis the free bird, not Travis the lawyer or defendant, and definitely not Travis the jailbird! Ill leave it at that, I don't want to "offend" anyone.
