Please submit Makima vs Tooru here to help make it happen lol. OFFICIAL DEATH BATTLE SUGGESTION FORM: bit.ly/DBRequestForm Small error around here 12:00, what I meant to say there was that Denji bypassed Makima's contract ability via love, while Kaato bypassed Calamity by removing all intent of pursuit, the removed intent of pursuit was replaced with the LOVE she has for her family, paralleling how Denji bypassed Makima. It is important to note that Chainsaw Man (Not Denji, the Pochita one) can bypass Makima's contract by eating her, the concept of control and erasing it, as even Makima & Kishibe says that her being eaten by Chainsaw Man would result in her end regardless of her contract. Chainsaw Man bypassing Makima's contract by erasing her (Control) as a concept directly paralleling Josuke with S&W GB bypassing Tooru/WoU's Calamity by going beyond the logic of them and erasing the concept of Calamity People say this battle limits Makima’s arsenal because she mostly can’t touch Tooru or WoU, which is a silly complaint because that is easily applied to her vs Gojo lmao. I think both these things can happen, where Makima is able to use half her arsenal but will somehow miss because of Calamity and the other half she’d be stopped before she could use it. Once again there could be a power struggle between her and WoU where it's her Control up against Calamities Influence as I bring up in the video. Makima could send WoU to hell and he comes out fine but shook. Makima can use the future devil to take less damage from Calamities and know what’s going to happen, etc. I think the point is for people who don’t like the matchup fight potential wise is that they’re simply not trying to think more creative. Oh and even if Calamity bypasses Makima’s contract she can still heal from blood like other devils so it's not totally over for her if she simply retreats and quickly comes back into the fight. Finally another way for Makima vs Tooru to start is basically the same scenario as Gojo vs Makima, Makima is dispatched to Morioh to find and kill a “Calamity Devil”, Makima and Tooru just so happen to cross paths at a crosswalk, Makima senses a Calamitous Devil scent from Tooru walking away from her, she pursues, gets hit by a car, Tooru turns around and assesses the situation seeing Makima regenerating, thus beginning the fight, simple. I always really liked the set up of makima checking up on the angel devil, who was sent to morioh university hospital, and 'Akefu Satoru' specifically, to receive treatment after he lost his arms. Makima is suspicious of this and plants several devils in the hospital in case a battle breaks out; which naturally does because of the WoU being WoU. The battle would later retreat to the streets of Tokyo (Makima teleporting there, Tooru getting the bus or something), where it could reach its climax.
I havent heard that tooru is a bad villian. Ive just heard that people didnt want HIM to be the villian. Like. I heard people was thinking it wouldve been nice if Kaato was the main villian instead. Instead of time like a bunch of other stands... she deals with space. A pocket dimension. She also has a lot of connections to most characters in the verse. Idk if anyone can give me more details about it... but it definitely sounds interesting
Two ways that I can see Makima winning through this match are what was the complete opposite of what she couldn't do with Gojo, one of them was to use her control powers to work around Tooru's calamity. Now I will state that if death battle ever does this one, they won't implement the two unique rules that they did with Goko since Tooru is likely an undocumented citizen and that devils and stands have different rules of how they interact. At best, both Makia and the other devils could possibly see stands but never physically touch them, unless under unique circumstances. As for Makia's possible win, instead of using raw power or strength, she would have to rely on her intellect to beat Tooru and find a workaround for his broken defense. And her best solution is her control powers and Tootu himself. Now, as you said, Makima would never see "The Wonder of U" as beneath her since he inbodies the concept of calamity and has done several historical events from it, a good example from her universe would be from Chainsaw Man doing the exact opposite of what he's done, and thus, she would be unable to directly control his stand. Tooru on the other hand is susceptible since he doesn't embody the same aura, basically an ordinary person that she sees as beneath her, and uses her power to cause a controlled calamity to happen to him that "Wonder of u" can't stop since its his masters choice to follow his own destruction.
I feel like Tooru would instantly wipe makima due to his ability being purely passive, and hard to even classify as an attack. And makima's contract... specifies that only fatal ATTACKS will be passed on. WoU doesnt EVER attack... all he actually does is bait you into following so CALAMITY can kill you in an absurd accident .
Exactly. Had Makima's contract been ANY death would be passed on, she would've been unbeatable. Thankfully, her contract specified only hostile fatal attacks which is how Denji was able to defeat her since although he cut her up and ate her, Denji's love for her bypassed the contract so him cutting her up wasn't seen as an attack.
I doubt it. Calamity or not they're a form of attack and has been considered "negative energy". They are also harmful to the victim so I don't see how it can't be considered an attack. Honestly Makima's death is hella confusing even now. Kishibe stated that her contract was STILL working after her being chopped into literal food. I'd like to assume she couldn't regenerate because of Power's blood but even so would it really be still in effect after all that time?... Even Kishibe couldn't make sense of Makima's death.
Fatal is still fatal, and perhaps an attack could be seen in a more loose way, like even a natural disaster, "Attacked by weather", and in this case, whatever thing kills her through casuality (like a fork). Pretty sure it would still deliver the damage to a random Japanese citizen.

Just want to point out here, Makima's contract ability over Japan won’t effect Tooru. Since Tooru is a Rock Human he is considered a “societal parasite” meaning that Rock Humans pretend to be normal in order to fit in. You can’t be considered a ”citizen” if your true form could be exposed at any time. Makima will be able to redirect the calamity onto Japan's population until only she and Tooru are left, then she will die.
I hate the fact that i literally *can't* imagine anyone REALISTICALLY(looks at josuke ignoring stand powers when his hair is insulted) beating tooru other than go beyond. Seriously, even araki, the AUTHOR, just straight up not only says "yeah, he could solo EVERYONE outside of this part", but also "yeah no, they ain't beating him(except it's beyond hope....BEYOND...GO BEYOND-)" And the only reason go beyond won was because it doesnt follow logic. I'm guessing makima does, which basically means automatic loss for her.
And Imo, even if Go Beyond doesn't follow logic it still makes no sense, because Josuke's intention to shoot WoU with Go Beyond should trigger the flow of calamity. Truly an ability beyond logic
@@yumijandro7761Miracles and Calamity are two sides of the coin of fate, fate is centred around the flow of gravity and it’s energy and can be manipulated to go one way or the other. The Spin is the neutral form of gravity manipulation and can be used to combat either Miracles (as Seen with D4C Love train) or Calamities (As seen in Gappy vs WoU). Go Beyond is a variation of the Perfect Spin that doesn’t require a horse to generate circular motional energy. Bubbles are not only perfectly spherical but are also CONSTANTLY SPINNING, Tooru was right to fear the Spin. I mean look what it did to him in the end.
Makima So you named your ability after this song? Tooru: Yeah, it is my favorite one, ma'am Makima: Good taste, i know a movie that has this song on the soundtrack. Would you like to see it with me? Tooru: It would be a honor. Makima:Please, you dont need to be so formal with me. The pleasure is all mine.
I'm just gonna say it. Tooru destroys. Tooru's ability is passive and there's no way of stopping it. Plus no matter how little the calamity touches you, it will fuck you up. Then there's the fact that WoU literally can't die. The only reason it was killed was because Gappy used something that existed out of reality. Even if Tooru dies, WoU still chillin
@@Kongongongg Yes but the fact of the matter is that Makima would die to WoU, even if she kills Tooru, WoU is literally a facet of reality like time and space, calamity is a universal constant so to speak.
Seing the two interact would be very interesting in my opinion ! Both are manipulative, merciless and ruthless, borned evil characters who are almost undefeatble and working in the shadows. There is so much potential between the two and this video being 1hour long is proof of that !
@@SadkSadk-i5k simple, they are B o r i n g. The one thing a villain should never be imo. In my eyes a villain does not need to be overly complex or deep, they just need to be interesting or fun to watch. Makima was just gross, and Frankly her ambition seemed to contradict her actions heavily. I really don't know anyone who likes makima as a villain, they just think she's hot and that's it. Tooru was a poorly executed mess imo, he was good in concept but araki for whatever reason just couldn't give him that same personality or flair that the other villains had. He's just bland, the only thing I think that was well executed was how he manipulated yasuho
I'm now imagining that during the Rokkaka clan and devil face off Katana man tries to do that quick draw slash thing to try and kill WOU but accidentally slices through the Aphex's twins' soccer ball and just dies of poison gas.
Gojo vs Makima basically proved that Tooru vs Makima could happen with them covering CSM (including all of the stuff the anime hasn’t touched on yet). They sort of opened the flood gates for manga characters.
One inaccuracy I noticed was you said Denji used Pochita's ability when eating Makima. When that is not the case, he ate her as an act of love because her contract specified attacks and not damage in general. If he did use Pochita's ability Nayuta wouldn't exist.
12:00 Sorry I didn't see this comment sooner, yea you're right I did make a minor error, thank you for pointing that out. What I meant to say there was that Denji bypassed Makima's contract ability via love, while Kaato bypassed Calamity by removing all intent of pursuit, the removed intent of pursuit was replaced with the LOVE she has for her family, paralleling how Denji bypassed Makima. It is important to note that Chainsaw Man (Not Denji, the Pochita one) can bypass Makima's contract by eating her, the concept of control and erasing it, as even Makima & Kishibe says that her being eaten by Chainsaw Man would result in her end regardless of her contract. Chainsaw Man bypassing Makima's contract by erasing her (Control) as a concept directly paralleling Josuke with S&W GB bypassing Calamity by going beyond the logic of them and erasing the concept of Calamity
I feel like the only attack that might threaten Tooru is Makima's "bang" since it's an invisible projectile similar to Josuke's Go Beyond. However Bang is just an extensive of Makima's control which does exists while Go Beyond doesn't so the second she raises upher hand I'd imagine a leaf just cuts it off or somthing.
It's not even a fair fight imo. In JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia, it brings up part of what makes Wonder of U so dangerous: As stated by Mamezuku, the severity of the calamities caused by the hospital director to someone who is not pursuing him seems to function as a form of karma and are influenced by an individual's history. This is demonstrated when a convicted killer who caught a glimpse of Wonder of U's back received a calamity that resulted in a life-threatening wound, while Mamezuku's took the form of relatively harmless things, such as a light bulb bursting and maggots appearing in his uneaten food. This is further expanded upon by Wonder of U, stating that there is a "flow" of things that always results in calamity which was previously hinted at by Toru. ------- There is literally no way for Makima to win because she really doesn't have anything that can transcend logic itself, as the nature of contracts and control are inherently made of logic. The way Josuke managed to destroy Wonder of U what that Soft & Wet: Go Beyond's bubbles are not mere "bubbles" - they are infinitesimally thin lines that spin rapidly; the lines are so thin that they are close to zero, therefore considered nearly nonexistent. Because of this, they are capable of bypassing any kind of logic in the world, including calamity. Josuke is incapable of precisely controlling or aiming one of Soft & Wet: Go Beyond's bubbles after it is created without using his own Stand to strike the bubble or another Stand user's Stand (Yasuho Hirose's Paisley Park) to guide it. Quite literally a "spray and pray" type of attack with no way being precise without external aid.
So... basically, powers that do not follow the rules and logic of reality are the best bet against Wonder of U? Or rather... powers that _negate_ them?
@@LordTyph The first kind, as powers that negate still follows rules that are naturally reflected from the power it is supposed to negate. Though Soft & Wet: Go Beyond's bubbles not only refuse to follow the rules & logic of reality - they technically don't even exist (which is why they are portrayed as invisible) because the lines the bubbles are made of are infinitely thin.
@MultiNaruto900 I don't mean something like negating magic, for instance, I mean 'the very concept of magic is negated around them'. As in, the rules and logic of a thing no longer apply.
Something like a controlled Darkness Devil would probably get past the "beyond conventional means" barrier, since it is a devil that simultaneously feeds upon the Unknown and therefore might perform its "attacks" through means beyond human logic (Granted, it isn't _immune from harm._ Makima managed to off-screen Darkness without too much struggle at the end of International Assassins). But she probably never managed to "control" the primal devil (considering her controlling powers don't work against people on equal ground with her, and she only managed to "banish" Darkness), So Makima still probably loses.
@@BobbinRobbin777 The thing is, The Darkness Devil follows logic. It's mostly unknown and has unknown powers, and that makes sense, so it wouldn't really work on WOU.
I wish more people did DB hypotheticals where they'd also discuss the battle part in more ways than just comparing feats. This is the first time I've seen someone do it
This actually kinda works since both are conceptual characters whos abilities can exist without them or in different form without them unlike that gojo vs wou fight.
Tooru wins this easily. His ability is basically instant as soon as she thinks of hurting/doing harm to him, and it's more bad luck/a debuff than an attack and its not tooru or wou who attacks her it's nature/earth/some bad luck disaster. Then also; the contract wouldn’t even affect Tooryu because he’s a rock human and not a japanese guy/citizen.
The thing you’re ignorant to is that the calamity pursuing her is WOU’s ability not something separated as it happens to attack Makima it’s a form of an attack and would be in the effect of her contract.
The funny thing is, Tooru's ability being passive in the sense that the calamity isn't an "attack" but rather just nature is the reason why he's so dangerous, even GER would be a stalemate against this walking maelstrom
It would still fall under makima's contract, definition of attack: "an aggressive and violent action against a person or place" even if its passive bad luck, theres still somethin causing makima to be injured, and wou calamity doesn't always kill the target anyways, so she would just redirect the damage to a person stuck in her chains or use power's blood to heal her,or just predict the entire thing with the future devil and try a different course of action rather than attacking tooru upfront, like trying to control him or send her fiends to attack him and etc
I wrote a quora answer for this a while ago that was 'my favorite villain vs least favorite villain' not knowing people actually like this matchup (favorite is Tooru & least is Makima, for the record). The dynamic between the two characters sounds interesting because of how similarly they are written and how they still contrast, but on the other hand... this is such an unironic sweep for Tooru it's not even funny. Makima's contract to come back to life by trading lethal damage to a random person doesn't work on things that aren't attacks, which Calamity falls under the category of. She would be sweeped in 2 seconds. Even if you want to alter this duel and make it so Calamity counts as an attack or Makima comes back to life from any damage regardless, Tooru still wins because there's nothing Makima can really do to overcome Calamity if a character that was created specifically to bypass pursuit and hit Wonder Of U still needed like 3-5 people assisting and asspull plot conveniences to do so.
@@gamerx3071 Toru's stand is honestly the coolest in JJBA and definitely in my top like 5 in terms of powers I've ever seen, as well as how well it was done initially. Also, despite how hated he is for being revealed too late in his part, Toru is actually a pretty good character and would have worked great as a villain if Araki used him better. In his self contained arc, he was used great anyways, as was Wonder Of U. In terms of Makima, though, I wasn't too on board with CSM to start with but honestly her entire manipulation deal was kind of mid to me somehow up until the climax when it sort of got interesting and then immediately fell off again (the climax was so bad other than Power's death imo)
@@AbyssalPhantom-uc5lh fair enough, I love his stand ability too. Honestly, if the anime (in 20 years) could expand on his character and make him more of a presence, like what they did with Kira, this could easily go from my least fav jojo villain to my fav. Csm is also very polarizing, so I can see your point there, even though I still think some villains are worse than Makima
@@gamerx3071 I've probably seen worse villains than Makima, but things like the presentation and etc makes Makima more memorable even though she is bad whereas other bad villains are typically forgettable because they are bad.
Weaponizing the concept of calamity to keep yourself safe is surprisingly terrifying and effective as an ability turns out. Conceptual powers like that are always so ridiculous.
It’s more of a debuff than an attack. Makima’s contract wouldn’t even affect toru because he’s not a Japanese citizen, and the damage caused by calamity won’t activate the passive either
When I saw the death battle, Gojo vs Makima, my first thought was, a better match-up for Gojo would be like him vs Raiden Shogun, both can manipulate space (at least I think Raiden can) and it's not like her being immortal really means much with Hollow Purple. I did like the original match up, Makima and Gojo both sorta fit together thematically, that being overpowered, cold blooded "overseers" for the main cast, but I feel like as for their abilities they just don't really mesh as well as Gojo vs Raiden Shogun would. Also I love that you used Dream Sweet in Sea Major for the intro, that song- and every one on Miracle Music- has such an ethereal vibe to it. Really fits.
As a Genshin fan I can say raiden nor any of the archons have no chance against gojo. Only at best the progenitor god the Primordial One could fight him one vs one. They only manipulate the concept of space not space itself.
If Raiden Shogun's Musou no Hitotachi does not work on Gojo , he would slam her . Considering that it can be blocked by some sort of elemental shield in her boss fight , I'd say Gojo would take this

well all Makima's abilities depend on some logic to hit: head pop just blows your head of and whole point of WoU is that it manipulates this logic if you try to "pursuit it" the act of pursuit is considered as just closing distance with malitious intents or an attempt of attacking the closer you or your attack is to the user the more dangerous ability becomes rain becomes bullets by getting scratched you get your limb tore off and most importantly it absolutely protects the user + has no upper limit to how much it can amplify so at some point just by breathing you can get atomized and it manipulates fate so you can't hurt it anyway (by any logical means so time and space are useless)
@@diooverheaven6561it's not instant, but yeah (see the conversation about pursuing the Head Doctor in the car, it wasn't until after that the calamity came for them)
Short and true ver of battle: Wou: I have control of calamity and if you try to pursue me, you get it Makima: are you a dog? Wou: umm... no. Makima: so why must I care about it? The end
WOU is always gonna win. Makima can sub with citizens of Japan, but eventually all of the citizens would die and she would have no more subs. And Tooru himself wouldn't die due to being subbed. He is not human, therefore not a citizen of Japan. But let's say Makima just used the universal devil regeneration ability. WOU would eventually just throw something at her that's she simply cannot regenerate from. And even if WOU doesn't do that, Makima regenerating over and over again would just tire her out. If she is not dead, she will eventually give up because she is chasing WOU, not the other way around. While this match up might seem "interesting" to you guys, it's really not. Their powers won't "interact" because Makima's powers will never reach WOU to begin with. Bang wouldn't work because Makima is actively thinking of attacking Tooru. Makima is fodder to WOU.
Even then, WoU can straight up bypass her attack redirection. WoU does not attack her. Rather, he manipulates logic itself, and then you naturally experience calamity
@@515Matteo the question is like asking if Makima’s ability would block a guy accidentally kicking over a banana peel and she slipped on it and discombobulated (considering Jojo’s insanity I am also only half joking). Some things I think would be cool. At one point there needs to be a thing where Makima loses sight of Tooru and turns a corner, and sees a park. She sees no one, but the rock formation behind her is revealed to be Tooru hiding in plain sight. Also the match up between Dr. Wu and the flamethrower guy, Dr. Wu uses his Stand to block portions of the body to effectively use the Locacaca and prevent death. It’d be cool if he used one to turn a vital part of its body to stone, or simply block up areas in the flamethrower contraption to make it backfire or blow up. Also I wonder if you could throw Doobie Wah! and Blue Hawaii into the fight since they are also controlled by rock humans. So if literally any of the devils breathe it would become a concentrated cyclone, and it’d be funny as just a random bystander is possessed by Blue Hawaii, charges straight at and impales themselves on a devil who then also charges straight at Makima before she kills them with her finger gun. Also the final calamity attack to kill her would also have to be something either absolutely nuts like a volcano erupting right under Makima or something super small and unimpressive like a wasp stinging her.
I'm sorry but there's no way makima is defeating tooru/wonder of u how are you going scale calamity itself it may sound stupid but it's basically boundless when you think about it
Yeah Makima may have been feared by humanity for as long as humans have existed but Tooru, He's 89 years old. Hes 89 years old? I don't believe it, I know I sound like a broken record but 89?
I think the biggest factor is whether calamity would just affect all of Japan due to Makimas contract or not. If Japan just does get affected on mass due to being contracted with Makima then she has just 0% chance of winning. However I'm not exactly sure how it would go with her having millions of lives. She could very well go through trial and error until she finally finds him, but even then there is nowhere near a guarantee she can kill him. She might be able to get him to face the verge of death but just like in the video I'm pretty sure the flow of calamity will be in his favor.
Letting everyone know, technically, WOU is in CSM and every anime. On top of that, in our own world too. WOU is a natural law of logic. In this WOU is negative energy like Karma, bad luck, Unfortune, etc. If you stub your toe, that calamity at a really weak point, if you were tested with stage 4 cancer, that calamity at a certain extent. Death and injuries is practically all calamity and WOU hyperextends that to the extreme. If you stub your toe, you lose a leg, you would instantly die by getting too close to Tooru. That's why almost all anime has zero chance of winning against WOU. Watch METAs video about WOU, and you’ll see why i stated that WOU is in all anime
Judge Holden is fuckin wild man I mean he's literally based on some pedophile who ran with an old west gang, only difference is that Blood Meridian portrays him as an unstoppable 7ft tall bald albino ogre man.
No way Makima would Pursue Tooru, and if she did Toory probably couldnt Escape bang attack but the Calamity lives even if Tooru died, So it will test of endurance
Just thinking about Tooru counts as pursuit and Makima would absolutely do that, and bang would be stopped by wou as easily as anything else because it stops attacks before they can even happen, if Makima tried to use bang, a street sign or a piece of paper or anything would come flying out of nowhere and at minimum cut her arm off stopping the attack if not just kill her (though because of the contract she wouldn't really be dead)
@@mystrenula3911 Slight misunderstanding: Return to Zero wielded by GER is what prevents attacks before they happen by overwriting the will of the individual who'd move against Giorno. WoU instead manipulates all forces under Heaven and on Earth in order to prevent any harm from coming to Tooru by preventing his being pursued in any form--physically, mentally, or even spiritually. It has a karmic twist to it, where worse people get hit with worse calamities colliding into them, but other than that WoU is an incredibly simple and powerful ability. I agree with you in concept, though, that WoU would prevent Makima's attempts to pursue Tooru, and given that she's such a monstrous individual, there's no way that the karmic retribution aspect of the ability would instantly destroy her each time.

Tooru wins if Wonder of You assimilates Makima the same way it intended with Norisuke. It will be scary cuz it will extended Tooru reach and influence, making him really unbeatable.
Now, granted that Makima is able to heal from Calamity, i see it as insanely unlikely that she goes over the millions of lives of every citizen in Japan before she is able to reach Tooru, I can definitelly see her losing to Calamity and WoU but Tooru is faaar too likely to get killed by his own calamity and having Makima tail him from as close as possible. I get that calamity is relentless and endless but Tooru is far too unlikely to outlive the entirety of Japan if we entertain the possibility of Makima getting up close and personal. plus we have to factor in things as Makima being able to adapt to the situation and fight accordingly, thing she intentionally didnt do against Csm cuz she sort of nerfed herself to give him a somewhat "fair" fight. So if there was ever a case to having Makima take control of Tooru and being informed of how Calamity works, it's very much likely she would probably cease all pursuit and simply order Tooru to kill himself. Again i dont think Makima can beat WoU but Tooru living through all of this is nie unbeliebable to me
You do realize WoU can bend laws to shape up a calamity right? He even reversed an attack of the main character against himself (mind you, he was even conscious and had full control of his ability) and the attack backfired against him. This happened many times with WoU forcing the MC’s power to literally kill not only his friend by nearly himself. Also, Tooru isn’t even human, would he even classify as a Japanese civilian despite not being born under human blood? Makima would be snuffed the moment her intent of killing Tooru or even controlling him is made apparent
Makima’s contract doesn’t affect toru, and if she keeps getting closer she’s going to have to keep stopping to regenerate being literally ripped asunder from calamity. Even if she kills toru, she also has to kill wonder of U separately, which she can’t do
This match up sounds very interesting, i might even start reading jojo the story seens very good. Btw i've seen people talking about makima vs dio and makima vs kira, anyone who read it can tell me if they have any similarities?
Admittedly, not much. Kira and Makima are both visually unassuming, cold and calculating, but she and Dio have nothing in common. It's also a monstrous stomp for Makima.
DIO is an manipulative vampire with a god complex that can stop time. Kira is a serial killer with a hand fetish that relies on hiding in the background of society to not be caught. And he can explode stuff. Yeah so not really the best paring besides the fact that Dio is very charismatic and has a cult.
Okay, I really have to ask: How do you evet expect Makima to win this? WoU controlls causality. The only way to stop him is essentially to ve outside logic. If you pursue WoU and you can't stepnoutside of causality, you are fucked. Yes, Makima has her contract, but dooes Tooru even count as japanese, as a rock human? And even if he does, don't you think causality could do something about this? I think that, if it's within causality, Tooru wins.
See the thing is Makima argument i see a lot here is her thing where she gets hit and a random citizen in Japan gets hit instead but the thing is wonder of u bypasses your durability and whatever your overall strength and endurance is and you get hit no matter what and her perusing him is definitely happening you don’t actually need to walk to Tooru just the thoughts of him would be enough for it so in my opinion Tooru wins
I could be wrong but then again the outcome still probably wouldn’t change at all but with that’s said I still like Makima though she is a cool character
@@Catzsterwell yes since WoU passive is just perfect counter to anything exist or exist at spiritual level within universe since it a calamity part of logic/fate in jjba itself I would say makima have 0 ways to actually even put a scratch on tooru

OFFICIAL DEATH BATTLE SUGGESTION FORM: bit.ly/DBRequestForm
Small error around here 12:00, what I meant to say there was that Denji bypassed Makima's contract ability via love, while Kaato bypassed Calamity by removing all intent of pursuit, the removed intent of pursuit was replaced with the LOVE she has for her family, paralleling how Denji bypassed Makima. It is important to note that Chainsaw Man (Not Denji, the Pochita one) can bypass Makima's contract by eating her, the concept of control and erasing it, as even Makima & Kishibe says that her being eaten by Chainsaw Man would result in her end regardless of her contract. Chainsaw Man bypassing Makima's contract by erasing her (Control) as a concept directly paralleling Josuke with S&W GB bypassing Tooru/WoU's Calamity by going beyond the logic of them and erasing the concept of Calamity
People say this battle limits Makima’s arsenal because she mostly can’t touch Tooru or WoU, which is a silly complaint because that is easily applied to her vs Gojo lmao.
Edit: Oh and Tooru is not a bad character/villain, stop that nonsense lol

Can't wait to see them Bring up most nonsense scales of power lel

It was officially stated to be telekinesis
It's not even a fair fight imo.
In JoJo's Bizarre Encyclopedia, it brings up part of what makes Wonder of U so dangerous:
As stated by Mamezuku, the severity of the calamities caused by the hospital director to someone who is not pursuing him seems to function as a form of karma and are influenced by an individual's history.
-------
There is literally no way for Makima to win because she really doesn't have anything that can transcend logic itself, as the nature of contracts and control are inherently made of logic.
❤❤❤❤
@@H4kuiinot really, if she wants to attack tooru she’s basically attacking herself with her own bad luck

I can only assume Power's blood was still preventing Makima from regenerating... or at least the part of the contract that was protecting her was disabled somehow?

@@herrscheroflust Power's blood was still out-damaging Makima's regeneration, but the contract was still working even after she was cut into pieces. Not a half bad idea tbh

A video covering JJL and CSM, featuring a Miracle Musical song. This video feels targeted at me specifically
Great video, man 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
well all Makima's abilities depend on some logic to hit: head pop just blows your head of and whole point of WoU is that it manipulates this logic if you try to "pursuit it" the act of pursuit is considered as just closing distance with malitious intents or an attempt of attacking the closer you or your attack is to the user the more dangerous ability becomes rain becomes bullets by getting scratched you get your limb tore off and most importantly it absolutely protects the user + has no upper limit to how much it can amplify so at some point just by breathing you can get atomized and it manipulates fate so you can't hurt it anyway (by any logical means so time and space are useless)
I might be wrong but wou can activate by you just thinking about pursuing/attacking it or user
@@diooverheaven6561it's not instant, but yeah (see the conversation about pursuing the Head Doctor in the car, it wasn't until after that the calamity came for them)
the start was perfect bro
Calamity hit her so fast she didn’t have time to make a ukulele apology 💀💀💀
One thing that can defeat Makima in one simple thing, She cannot deflect the emerald splash.
Short and true ver of battle:
Wou: I have control of calamity and if you try to pursue me, you get it
Makima: are you a dog?
Wou: umm...
There was no intent to Makima’s harm but rather random chance which put it here. WoU’s existence just passively weighs the random chance against Makima when she decides to pursue Tooru.
@fishyfishyfishy500akabs8 Plus, even if we play by the other guys logic, WoU can just kill the prime minister and Makima still can't kill WoU if he doesn't because stands can't be defeated by non-stand-users
Tooru wins, im predicting it

@@randomyoutuber2633the thing is, stands are reflections of the users minds and Ungalo was a drug addict who had completely lost control of his mind and body, I question if Bohemian Rhapsody would be substantially less chaotic and insane if Ungalo was sane and sober

Best vid. It's very creative. I love Jojo and CSM so much.
side note, i thought the gojo v makima one was dumb because they literally proved that makima would win while describing her abilities n stuff, but still made gojo win cuz hes more popular
Brother, Gojo has a reality eliminate hability and is barely untouchable (unless you have a full counter of his hability like heavens pierce or cleave), Makima has shown to be more easily killed: and so gojo is more powerfull than makima.
@@elliciencias2197 if your referring to hollow purple as that attack, hollow purple does not erase matter and is never stated to, and the death battle video literally states how makima could easily bypass infinity with the bang attack, makima was only killed by denji because the purpose of his attack was to eat her which he considered to be an act of love(she would be with him forever) and that's why the damage wasn't transferred to someone else and also something to do with the chainsaw he used being made of powers blood.
@@elliciencias2197makima has biological manipulation which really should've gotten gojo

Makima back to get kill again 😭😭😭😭
W video and based idea from the goat 🗿
Also the final calamity attack to kill her would also have to be something either absolutely nuts like a volcano erupting right under Makima or something super small and unimpressive like a wasp stinging her.
... And then Tooru eats the wasp.
I'm sorry but there's no way makima is defeating tooru/wonder of u how are you going scale calamity itself it may sound stupid but it's basically boundless when you think about it
Makima makes a contract with the calamity AND rock devil and then Tooru is cooked. 🗿
Yeah Makima may have been feared by humanity for as long as humans have existed but Tooru, He's 89 years old. Hes 89 years old? I don't believe it, I know I sound like a broken record but 89?
He’s a rock human so I doubt he’s probably 90+ years old or less
Wait just do some researches and found out that Wonder Of U (head doctor) is actually in his early 200s
To be fair from what i understand her contract works on attacks and calamity isn't an attack it's literraly bad luck focused on you
Millions of lives wont change anything, in the end, she cant do anything to WoU, even if she has several lives worth of "experience" against WoU
Shout out to Tooru for casually having stuffed animals on his shoulders 🔥
This and Power VS Foo Fighters Are my two most wanted DB.

its like the age old question. what would happen if WOU and SCR bumped shoulders
Might as well ask, What are your thoughts on Makima's other Matchups? (Manchester Black, Kyubey, Father, Judge Holden, ECT)
Judge Holden is fuckin wild man I mean he's literally based on some pedophile who ran with an old west gang, only difference is that Blood Meridian portrays him as an unstoppable 7ft tall bald albino ogre man.
Other than Gojo I dunno who any of the other characters are unfortunately, Gojo vs Makima is pretty good
@@GoyBenius_0901Jesus lol
Judge holden outlive her contact hs cannot die as long as mankind exist or even they didn't exist he wouldn't die
I agree with you in concept, though, that WoU would prevent Makima's attempts to pursue Tooru, and given that she's such a monstrous individual, there's no way that the karmic retribution aspect of the ability would instantly destroy her each time.

why do the look like a happy couple in the thumbnail
Tooru could win only if he kills Makima enough times that everyone in Japan died due to her just resurecting at their expense
You should do videos like this for other matchup
Tooru wins if Wonder of You assimilates Makima the same way it intended with Norisuke.
It will be scary cuz it will extended Tooru reach and influence, making him really unbeatable.
Toru could just start sleeping in the middle of the road and makima would still lose
Dang!!!😂 Chill!!🤣
Though she wouldn't chase him though
@@hunterculpepper1973unfortunately, her objective isn’t SURVIVE
(Mild reference)
And Wou still works after tooru is dead.
@@Anonymous-ht5dg yeah, im not saying WOU stops, im just saying is far too unlikely Tooru lives if Makima gets close at least once
@@countcrocodile1115 Tooru lives my dude.
Makima’s contract doesn’t affect toru, and if she keeps getting closer she’s going to have to keep stopping to regenerate being literally ripped asunder from calamity. Even if she kills toru, she also has to kill wonder of U separately, which she can’t do
So Makima’s life hax is just a worse version of D4C Love Train limited just to Japanese citizens?

Btw i've seen people talking about makima vs dio and makima vs kira, anyone who read it can tell me if they have any similarities?
Admittedly, not much.
Kira and Makima are both visually unassuming, cold and calculating, but she and Dio have nothing in common.
It's also a monstrous stomp for Makima.
@@Lechgang i see, thanks for explaining

I think that, if it's within causality, Tooru wins.
man i'm a huge makima glazer but we're talking about wonder of u here. i don't know if i can keep defending her..
This actually makes sense
See the thing is Makima argument i see a lot here is her thing where she gets hit and a random citizen in Japan gets hit instead but the thing is wonder of u bypasses your durability and whatever your overall strength and endurance is and you get hit no matter what and her perusing him is definitely happening you don’t actually need to walk to Tooru just the thoughts of him would be enough for it so in my opinion Tooru wins
I could be wrong but then again the outcome still probably wouldn’t change at all but with that’s said I still like Makima though she is a cool character
@@Catzsterwell yes since WoU passive is just perfect counter to anything exist or exist at spiritual level within universe since it a calamity part of logic/fate in jjba itself
