Peeps $69 is the MSRP provided to us by Montech. Also another update from them, as soon as the stock hits Resellers and not Amazon the price will drop to $69
Nick, I gotya hand it to you bro. You make even the most cheap PC cases look like master pieces when you build into them. Keep going and don't even stop working your magic. xD
I agree it's a lot like the 500DX however it solves the problems I had with the 500DX. Rubber grommets, 280 up top, a glass side panel that you dont have to fight with to get on and off for maintenance.
I actually think that $69 is an absolute bargain! Type C on the front IO, rubber grommets for the pass-through's, 3 fans (non-PWM, but doesn't matter) a nice RGB accent on the front cover.. I've seen so many cases that are double the price and don't have those items. Beautiful build, Nick. Great job once again.
Every time I watch one of your videos I just want to build another PC just for the looks. Hell, my first build was inspired by one of your white 5000d builds. Keep it going!!
You're right! The looks immediately reminded me of the Be quiet 500DX! Regardless, it's a decent case! Glad to see more budgets entering the field. Actually, haven't checked on Montech stuff in a while now, glad they're still pumping. And once again thank you GS team for the wonderful Vid ❤ And that Keyboard looks sick, waiting for the vid.
Less than 3 minutes in but THANK YOU for talking about the fans and showing their connections. So many case reviews skip right over that even though knowing the included fan capabilities is super important to price conscious builders and budget rigs. Didn't expect PWM but it's good to know. Unfortunately with it sitting at $99 USD on Amazon and Newegg right now, I'm not totally convinced. At the $69 MSRP you were told by Montech it would have been great to buy and shove some better fans in, but at $99 that means it's competing with stuff like the g360a and its 3 PWM aRGB fans. It gets a bit expensive at that price knowing you'll have to replace or add more fans. I know fans are a weird thing to worry about to most people but these days it's an easy way for a build's cost to balloon needlessly. Either include some decent PWM fans (it's 2022, not 1992) or include no fans to bring the cost down and reduce e-waste. Otherwise the case looks good. Decent IO, airflow oriented, good clearances. Looks like a p400a fucked a 500DX. Nothing really stands out as horribly bad or cheap (looking at you, break away PCIe covers). The front mesh holes look a bit too open, maybe? Would be the same reason I picked a Corsair 4000D over a Phanteks. Next time I have someone wanting a build list that wants to splurge on aftermarket fans I might consider this, especially if the price comes back down to $69. Maybe even a buy around $89 with better fans included.
I have the Be Quiet 500DX and looking at this I was immediately like oh that looks kind of like a copy of my case. I am jealous of the more expansive front IO, the hinge secured glass panel and the ability to put 3 140mm fans in the front. That being said, better thermals is a win.
I own the original SKY ONE and it actually looked a lot different from be quiet. I think it was out early last year… So it’s hard to say it copy the Dx. Anyway the lite version seems to be a great case , I would definitely buy it at 69 dollars. 👍
bought a montech skyone mini in April, loving the case but too bad i sold the whole rig..quite awesome for a $40 matx case that can fight a tecware fusion/nr200
I had a ""Brain Fart" watching this video. Cable Extensions don't need to be so long, just make them long enough to get through to the back side. And maybe fuse them together so cable combs won't be necessary. Just an idea! Less wiring is always a good thing and saves resources.
Would this case be okay using a non-modular power supply or do you have to go and buy a modular? Also would an RTX 2060 super fit the case without having problems and a 1070 founders?
You should look at reviewing the MSI MAG Forge 100R case, I’m not sure on the price in Aus but in the UK it’s £45 and has 3 ARGB fans that are also PWM, there’s no better budget option.

Pretty useless when the Be Quiet 500DX is the same price. Montech should have stuck to under $100
Do you have a video on troubleshooting the rgb? I thought I connected everything?

Also, the pcie power passthrough close to the glass panel
Imagine a lian LI strimer cable with that
2:05 "grommet testing" 😄😄😄
Gotta give it a good blasting

Very clean white build! The front fans and rgb strip are slick
This is a really great case and it has a type c?
You gotta be kidding me. That’s a instant buy !
just to put it out there, the case is currently being sold for $99 so unfortunately $69 is out of the table
$69 is the price montech gave me.
@@GearSeekers @Gear Seekers ah. Should have thought about that 😁. that sucks that its not that $69 price, both cuz of the joke and the low price 🤣
0:20 that new intro is SICK!!!

Been watching videos on cases and here in the USA, at Microcenter this case is $39.99 so I think I'll be picking one up. Thanks for the video! :)
This new case looks like a banger, might have to cop!
Small mistake in the info Box when discussing fan support, top should be 2x 140mm and not 3x
:)
Your builds are inspiring!! Always so clean and beautifully done. Keep up the amazing work.
Banger video fams, case looks decent for the price. Keep up the hard work
the "deal with i dont give a f**k" had me rolling lol
Still sitting here because I love you kid, LOL
So clean! Im looking to get this case in black for my first build 8:45

That ending lmfao that was genius! 🤣
Hi, when installing the mb did you use additional stand off screws (or raisers) or you just used the preinstalled ones, thanks
Hello Nick! I sat here because Bindy. LOL
lower end lancool case (215 and 205 series) uses the same oem as these montech case
Does it use any molex cables for the fan?
CAT!!! I know the video is about the case and it looks great and I love airflow cases, but... CAT!!! I love cats. 😻

Montech Sky One Lite or NZXT H5 Flow? Who is The best?
I don't like front panel and poor HDD support, but for 69 it's a solid chassis imo.
Hahahaha I was one of the people thinking about the cables on the GPU. LOL Come on Nick. LOL Hi Claire.
😂
The cables look horrible and cable combs would be pretty nice but you heard the man!
Noice!
Great content. Please, where did you get it for $69?
10:20 ROFL
Y'all better stop messing with him.
10:35 that is exactly what my voice sounds like.
Why am I still sitting here... RIP 😄
