The game's graphics are incredible. People who focus on ground level detail kind of miss the point, which is that all of the game's visuals optimally should be viewed from the perspective of an airplane, not street view. When you play the game the way it was designed to be played, the experience is optimal.
For the first 15 secs I couldn’t tell which was which. I only figured it out after I realized the camera on the right side kept shaking because of whoever was holding it. Insane. Imagine what it’ll be like in 10 years…
Since the 90's (and probably before), I've been saying "Imagine what it'll be like in x years...". Even with MSFS98, FSX, etc., this is INSANE. Not perfect, of course. I'd be dumb to think it would be. But, the quality is excellent. Sometimes, the biggest noticeable differences are from the time the aerial imagery was done vs. current time or VFR slow n' low with some issues. Even then, if you didn't know the place, you'd see it as very, very realistic. Toss in head/eye tracking, butt kickers, DIY cockpit stuff, VATSIM, etc. and you're well beyond what commercial flight training simulators were 10 years ago, by a long shot. "Imagine what it'll be like in 10 years...". As long as they keep it up and don't stop developing it, it'll make this video look like a PS1 game... :)
Damn that's awesome syncing of the two videos, and I actually thought the real one was on the left for a few moments there - I need to set up some cabin window views as it's not something I've ever done in ANY flight sim going back to 1982!!!
The replay didn't animate the aileron movement...lol. If that was working and the devs implemented some better wing flex and flap shake/vibration then it would be hard to tell...all of which is totally achievable.
The big giveaway for msfs is the cars. I do hope they end up remodelling them as the current ones arent that good ATM. I do really love this sims graphics though, 10/10 🎉
im sure that it would look 100% real if all you did was give the camera some grain and other effects to make it look like it was taken from a real camera, because in msfs you get a perfect view of everything, theres no phone camera resolution, and other specs that its going through before you see it, so adding filters and stuff like that would make it look a lot better, and also realistic camera shake, someones gotta do that for a video and compare it to real life like that because im pretty sure it would be 100% perfect, also how tf did you manage to sync it so perfectly lol, great job
very nice, but I don't understand why the wings in fs can't be more shaky like the real thing. If that would have matched I'd seriously had a hard time guessing
Very good - when you say 'ultra graphics in 4K', is that an add-on which one has to pay extra for, or is it just a setting within the simulator itself?
Still looks too 'clean'. See how there is a haze between the wing and the camera? But in the game the "atmosphere" between the wing and camera is just perfect clarity?
This is the longest it ever took me to realize which one is real life lol Noticed which one was real life when one of the fking vehicles vanished into thin air on the road XD
Hi have subbed your channel and follow you regularly. As a senior I am learning but have a problem with moving aircraft over to 2024 from 2020. I tried to move the a380 over with no luck. It says installed but does not show up. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?Thx
It depends on the aircraft from the ones I’ve tried. Items bought in the marketplace should be automatically moved, it could be that some need an update to work properly. Hopefully the next update next week will allow for more to be used
Does MSFS really gets data from reallife? Thats awesome... but i think it is required to have a stable internet connection huh? Never played the game... but it looks so awesome and inviting...
I have to admit I had to initially guess for the first 10 seconds or so which was real at first though I notice one dead giveaway is always the way real life "washes out" in the distance whereas the sim looks artificial in the distance no matter how much tries to "massage it" with weather settings. There is this "gritty haze" in real life that just doesn't seen to exist in any sim yet. Of course once you get closer to the ground and you see the exaggerated water reflections, roads and vehicles it spoils the effect. I am also a bit surprised that in 2024 they have not found a way with their AI to make all the parking lots look even half decent. Sorry to be critical but one cannot help being thus when it is specifically a comparison video and titled as such.
or the colour is depends on monitor not just gpu,gpu is frane rate but texture color 2k monitor will be better akready not say only high end card can have
Wow, the sim really has come a long way. The people with negative feedback need to realise 2020 was maxxed out, it couldnt do any more, the new 2024 software is at it's beginning and will so be very stable for all those on the right machines.... not sure about xbox users but for PC it will soon be happy days!
The way you synched this is incredible
Agreed. Only the time of day seems wrong (shadow in one and not in the other).
Time of day and year is matched to the footage, the shadow is more due to the clouds letting through more light
@@TropicalTech2 what gives away the fact its a sim is the ParkingLot.png

I couldn't tell which was real until 1:27 when the truck suddenly disappeared in the left video
That was the real video. The truck and it's driver are still missing.
@@chaspfrankIt will be fixed in the next World update
@@Orikix What makes you sure of that?

Took me a few sec also, and the shaking was the only obvious give away. Playing this would probably melt my computer though.
Realistically? Not too much better. Look at most games from 10 years ago, they don't look much better than now, with the odd exception.
Since the 90's (and probably before), I've been saying "Imagine what it'll be like in x years...". Even with MSFS98, FSX, etc., this is INSANE. Not perfect, of course. It took me half the video to make sure I knew which video game was the real one.
Of course it did
Stop being stupi_. You can see in thumbnail which one is which.
Really? You can see it very fast on the unreal shadows
What? While msfs is pretty realistic, its very clear which one is real life
Because the guy fly whis max graphics in flat places whis a good generation... but else it's 2020
Man this is just the single best video showcasing msfs24 out there
Agree, brilliantly made video
Real life needs to up its game.
So true
The trees in MSFS 2024 are way overgrown. Other than that - very true to life
Well, it may be the result of climate change (too much carbon in the MSFS 2024's atmosphere) which trees and other vegetation thrive on! Hahahahaha!
Damn that's awesome syncing of the two videos, and I actually thought the real one was on the left for a few moments there - I need to set up some cabin window views as it's not something I've ever done in ANY flight sim going back to 1982!!!
The ailerons are not doing anything. but i suppose thats a replay glitch. Which asobo still didn't fix....
You know it's good when you have to remind yourself which one is real. Great video.
As always,great! thank you!
Thanks for the support!
They certainly nailed the color saturation this time, wow. 24 is gonna be killer when matured with updates, locally cached addons etc etc
road and vehicles at the last moment in the sim killed it for me
Nice edit. Well done.
I have never seen a more realistic video in my life
This has to be a trick, they both look real
Look at the wing, the left looks so fake
IMO what get's it done over MSFS2020 is the lower contrast in the ground textures which makes it less movie like but way more realistic
The replay didn't animate the aileron movement...lol. If that was working and the devs implemented some better wing flex and flap shake/vibration then it would be hard to tell...all of which is totally achievable.
Wow. It's only the screen space reflections that give it away
Can't wait to get a Thomas Cook livery on that A330.
Amazing!!
Thank you!
I had no idea which was which until the end when i saw the traffic lol 😂
That road always seems empty, was the same in FS2020 as well
@@TropicalTech2change the traffic density.
@@EmeryE2 It's on ultra and its fine on most roads, just some don't seem to have any traffic
left more shaky and wash out filter, then its perfect. nicely done with the timing!

I ain't reading all that
I'm Amazed you manage to land it before it crashed, and I don't mean the plane, 😂
Just incredible

This is just the base game running with ultra settings in 4K resolution
It's crazy, it's almost hard to understand which one is true
Thank you for sharing : LIKE 652 for you :) Greetings from Poland
Thank you!
Still looks too 'clean'. See how there is a haze between the wing and the camera? But in the game the "atmosphere" between the wing and camera is just perfect clarity?
but i see the sky in my game is still unreal ,yours is more natural so how to make this ah
I have all settings set to ultra, it could be that
Real life is lag-free though
One day, simulation will be more realistic than real life.
The shadows edges on the fairings is too sharp; but still an impressive comparison
Could only tell cos of the crest thats it wow. I need this but dont own a pc or gaming laptop. Nah i need this loving aviation
the one on the left is the sim because a truck disappeared and the shadows on those wing support struts are too well defined they do not move.
This is the longest it ever took me to realize which one is real life lol
Noticed which one was real life when one of the fking vehicles vanished into thin air on the road XD
It could improve a little just on color.
The game’s graphics are great.

Yeah, the entire world is there (some places are better than others) Internet speed is recommended 50Mbps
In FS2024, the shadows are harder, and the plane is stiffer.
Some of that is the replay mode unfortunately
One day we will need to patch reality for updates graphics. 😂
I formally retract my negative opinion on MFS2024. Wow, just, wow.
and then you think. what 10 years from now will look like?
What camera shake settings did you use for MSFS 2024. And was it something other then fsrealistic
Shake was added in post
The shadows on the right are more realistic.

WOW!
Reminds me how much I hate travelling by plane
Do you just buy plane tickets on purpose to do these?
No
How old is this video? didnt Thomas Cook go bankrupt in 2019?
Yeah, this is from 2019 (still more recent than the game's photogrammetry for the area though!)
While mcfs is nice, it still has alot to improve
Which version of 24 is this, the steam version or the Microsoft store version?
Steam
All this is more proof that the matrix exists and that we actually are in one in real life!
No highway traffic in the sim?
Its there, just some roads seem a bit off
The left one is more realistic
thxsir but the color i can not tine like yours so the setting is what resolution ah ,i see it is too bright ,not have yours nstural color
It could also be down to weather and where you are in the world (in the game)
Life imitating art...
The lighting is incredible. It's sooo realistic.
Who knew, real life is more stuttery at times
What aircraft is this sir?
a330-200
None of both because there is no "german-after-tochdown-applause" :)
Reality really fails at imitating FS2024.
Where is this supposed to be?
Orlando
