Resizing is such an arduous task. You totally reconstruct a shoe and still decline to call yourself a shoe maker. Humble and so proud to be your father's son. I like that. Great job as always and look forward to your next project.
Yes, another man with these skills would call himself a shoemaker. But Steve knows his dad was a shoemaker, and he will not take that mantle because he knows what it means. Very refreshing compared to kids today who think they know it all.
I was thinking exactly the same thing...🤔 The only process missing from "shoemaking" here was cutting the original leather out from a pattern and sewing the pieces together!
A good shoe will last the life of the wearer with proper maintenance and care. I wish more companies had the market to make good shoes. Its painful to find a comfortable shoe you love the looks of and have it fall to pieces after a couple of years. It is lucky you were able to resize and restyle these shoes for your customer. Hopefully he takes as good care wearing them as you did making them. Another masterful job. Oh…I think it would be very interesting to see you design and make a shoe from scratch. Maybe a driving shoe to match your automobile.
It still amazes me how attached some folks become to their shoes.....it's a godsend that there are craftsmen like you still around to keep their footwear alive and grow with them. Great video😊
Well we are creatures of habit... for me a shoe that worn down stretched to what your foot fits perfectly can't be beat...I don't understand people wearing trainers and saying it comfortable...it is not ...all that padding and cushioning isn't natural for the foot I spend half my life in a pair of good shoes the other on a mattress...those are the two things that you don't cheap on!
This is so therapeutic. Noticed the nice submariner too. Staying classy with the black on black. Steve, you’re a man amongst us mere men, and keep up the great work! Hoping every video sparks 10 new leather workers in the world.
You call yourself a cobbler but you sir are a master craftsman, you know all aspects of building and repairs which many do not, that sets you apart from the rest. Great video and information on resizing the shoe
When you opened the back door it made me think of Zeus - hope he’s still thriving in his new home. But you need another doggo to keep you company in the shop 😊.
I don’t work with shoes , I work in construction. And staples in wood are just as much of a pain as they are in shoes . The hold extremely well , but deconstruction is a nightmare!!!!! Love your videos !
Your work NEVER ceases to amaze me, Steve! These shoes turned out great on the 65 last. Your videos are always so entertaining, relaxing and educational. Thanks for sharing your work with us!!
We had a storm roll through yesterday afternoon dime to golf ball size hail for about an hour looked like it snowed marbles mixed with golf balls central Oklahoma. Been outside cleaning up when your video posted so I am enjoying it now. Will be getting a new roof and I ordered a Paintless Dent Removal kit so I will be learning another skill. Watching you take on challenges inspired me and has me taking better care of my boots. Best Wishes and blessings
Really, really fun to watch! Interesting choice with the Vibram…these would’ve have looked even cooler with Dainite, but then again you know that’s my thing. More rubber resole vids! You are the the King of Dainite. Excellent video. Thank you Steve.
Steve, if I could I'd subscribe more than once for ya. I try to always hit the like and comment, as well as watch each video all the way through, knowing that those things help your channel with the algorithm. Those AEs turned out beautifully. Really love the addition of the mid-sole on them too. Also loved seeing the gemming getting stitched to the footbed too. And, of course it's always a treat to see "the jerk with a needle" at work for that hand stitched welt. LOL I was looking for the Bick4 to get slathered onto the leather liner while you were in there, as well as the updated size codes, like a Florsheim Imperial gets treated to. 😜
my 5 year old nephew has been watching your video's with me when I babysit him and i got him another toy hammer ( he broke the other one) and an apron and he says it's hammer time!
you are the man steve. another very nice job again. i really wish i had gotten to watch you work the couple of times i visited you there in tyson corner.
Phenomenal work as usual. The shoes were in amazing condition, they probably haven't been worn all that much. I'm still amazed that people continue to pay so much for this kind of job when you could get something like a Crockett & Jones Handgrade or even a couple of pairs of Carmina for the same money. Saying that, the owner will now get years of extra wear out of these now so worth it to him I suppose.
Good morning Steve Your style felicites and sublime Is a quality person in Your job ,The iconic model shoes by Allen Is fantastic .Sublime crafsmsnship and perfect job ,regards from spain 🎩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Yeah, back when they made GOOD tools. Beautiful job. I really like the 2 tone color in the soles. Hey, have you ever thought about a handlebar mustache?
Always enjoy your videos, been subscribed for a while now. LOL been surprised that some other people I'm subscribed to have referenced your "let's continue" in their video, asking if we know where it's from LOL obviously you!
I don't know if I totally agree with the customers choice of sole, specially in black, there had to be a different color option. Craftsmanship of course is way beyond spectacular .
Now I know why you take the heel corner off, thanks. Next what was the purpose of suicide wedge on heals would like to know. Amazing job and relaxing, Blessings to you and yours
Steve do you remember MC Hammer on one song he says Hammer Time and proceeds to skate dance back and forth across the screen in baggy parachute pants, it is classic and I always think of it when you say Hammer Time. Maybe you could watch the video and do a shuffle dance before doing your hammer time, LOL 😂 I bet lots of people would send you money to do it 😆
Have you ever checked out some of the PNW boot makers (Nicks, Whites, etc)? Just curious on your opinion if you have. I see this customer has asked for a narrower last. I don't have wide feet, but I don't like a narrow toe box, as my toes splay. My favorite shoes are my Jim Green African Rangers in large part for that reason. Not the most expensively made shoes, but great value for the dollar invested.
@@BedosLeatherworksLLC any particular favorite? Just curious as you would know what is good. I like that Nick's just released the wider last for toe splay this week. That is VERY tempting.

Alright, let’s continue 👍🏼

If that apron could tell a story, it would be many stories to tell about witnessing broken shoes being restored back to life!❤
Always enjoy watching your craftsmanship Steve. Thanks!
You set yourself a task that seemed to be very difficult. You pulled it off with aplomb. The shoes are so handsome.
Excellent work , Steve O , as always. Thanks for the Video .
You’re a true craftsman, sir. What a superb job and thank you for letting us in on the ride. I take my hat off to you.
Another great video. Nice to come home from a long, stressful day at work and unwind watching you work and listening to your commentary. Excellent!

OUTSTANDING WORK STEVE,LET’S CONTINUE 👍
Crazy talent, Steve you are one of a kind. Elmo Tanner would be jealous..
Good stuff as usual. Bright yellow laces would really pop in those shoes. Thanks and cheers. Oh, appreciate the voices
Keep calm and it’s hammer time🔨 😂 ❤❤❤❤❤ love you Steve 🥰
That's already shoemaking rather than just being a cobbler. 😅
Great awesome job!
You make ART, man. Amazing! (Hey, dont forget the coffee breaks hoho!)
Totally outstanding and worth the price if you really love your shoes 👞

They look great Steve! What a job. I wish I could afford to send some of my old AEs to you for recrafting.
What a great job👌

Nice Viberg’s Steve! Looking forward to hearing more about them. I recently picked up some Viberg 310’s. Love the Last shape with sprung toe!
They turned out very nice!
great Job Steve :)

I like hammer time because you enjoy it so much!
You have done a marvellous job
Amazing what you make possible! This must have been quite expensive for the customer though as you basically made him a new shoe!
Shoe polish? Us old guys rule! Wear your grey proudly!
Looks good.
Great work

Hye Steve, you left some white paper inside the left shoe. It is visible in the close-up pics of the finished product. Great videos. J.
Beautiful job.
Imagine having to resize a person's face! 😂That's what it looks like! Only a Master can attempt this complicated job and make a success of it! 😊
Now I know why you take the heel corner off, thanks. Next what was the purpose of suicide wedge on heals would like to know. Amazing job and relaxing, Blessings to you and yours
Never heard of one requesting a resize, man they must love their shoes.
Oh Steve, why didn't you introduce us the people int photo wit names.

Was that Bonnie Raitt?
Which is the harder-wearing sole between the Vibram and Dainite? I usually recommend the Dainite for those that walk on pavement all-day
