Thanks for watching. Will do! Looks like you got some awesome content, I love all stuff urban planning/public transport and trains. I'll check your channel out tonight :)
Such a good video ! I had no idea about thornhill but ive seen similar places like this such as rockbank and truganina. The infrastructure is playing catch up with the houses being built 😅
The U turn thing is actually bejnb imposed on existing suburbs in many places, as planning deliberately tries to sabbotage car access and cut areas off from each other. Examllesvghat come to mind are Abbotsford/ Kew being deliberately cut off from access from Hoddle Street ( huge U turn only access ) , and access to Swan Street Ricmond similarly being cut off from Punt Rd. So many major intersections are bejnv removed so only very indirect access is available.
Thanks @zannonymous. Hopefully you'll have more Melbourne content soon. What you mention @3:30 reminded me of this ACA report about developers and state gov pointing fingers at each other in Sydney: ruclips.net/video/BGcdewVqTtM/видео.html
I didn’t even drive the U turn, I just watched you; and I’m also pissed off. Wow I had no idea about Thornhill, grew up in Melbourne and left 10 years ago, since moved to the rural north. Thornhill looks like and has even less ammenities than this dead, beachside small town. Just more art deco modern design. I REALLY can’t believe (I can) that they sold people on Thornhill for its “up and coming” ammenities that still haven’t spawned into existence 💀 wtf. Idk if it’s much content, but I’d love to see a video about Melbourne Airport, I do NOT miss that sh#tshow
Many newish suburbs in Melbourne have all issues mentioned in regard to Thornhill Park. (Cloverton/Kalkallo for eg., just got a supermarket in last 6 months and it can take half hour or more to get out of the place in busy morning time as there’s one road in and out, which could be very problematic in case of an emergency situation)
I can’t believe they can’t even just build them a train station, the line goes through their suburb, why is the gov like this? It’s like they’re striving to be as shit a gov as possible.
Meanwhile the big build / LCR is forcing huge, expensive and useless station " upgrades " ( downgrading community utility and accessibility) on communities who would have rather kept their old stations. Money would have been better spent on a station where needed, and we would have been happy without the blight that is the LCR project.
Its crazy people will buy a house and land package 40kms out west for $600k when they can for the same money can get a 50yo house on 550m2 in Lalor close to everything
Have they turned any of the troubled located corner houses into a drive through businesses ? Near where the over pass that hasn't or won't be built! By the goverment. To speed up travel time and help the people come.
awesome content man and almost no one covers these issues, I'm hungry for more
Thanks dude!
If had to guess.... the wetland area is only there because it's already a boggy area that can't be built on.
Please do more of these types of videos! Your videos are amazing

Has any septic waste water tank been built to manage the waste water sent to the marshes for safety or water overload in the marshes swamp ?

Show us some of the businesses, developements or Changes built in the area !!!?
Why have new businesses been built ???
Added any artifical bird houses & solitary bee hives near the troubled marshes with plants untill the plants trees reach adulthood?
Why have no instant tiny container homes or businesses been built or placed
Why don't they just convert where the over pass is meant to be built ! Into a drive though area gateway in the meantime !!!??????
It doesn't take 40 mins to get to Melton. Some of the residents are exaggerating too much
Wanna go halves on opening a restaurant?

I drive through this place to leave Melbourne for a better place and I don’t understand why anyone would buy there. It’s a windswept wasteland.
This poor
You look like Justine Trudeau 😂
Haha! I'll take that over Novak Djokovic! 🤣
