    Studying about this acronym, with your questions at the end was actually pointed out something which I was not paying attention in the class or maybe instructor did not explained well. Thank you for giving your time.

    Ducer A yields a higher frequency as well as resolution because the crystal being thinner flexes faster than the thicker crystal, the resolution is higher because the wave isnt traveling as far due to the lower penetration value

    Thiner crystal will produce high frequency .ans is A
    Resolution means the power to identify the discontinuity situated nearby . So higher frequency can find more discontinuity, so answer is higher frequency will give better resolution .

    High F will gives a better resolution.

    The thinner the crystal gives a higher frequency, better resolution, greater sensativity

    what about diameter?

    • @NDTVideoLibrary
      @NDTVideoLibrary  5 лет назад +3

      Couldn't fit diameter in it. Well imagine a water hose with a large opening vs you pressing your thumb on the opening. Which case the water coming out will spread more? The thumb one right? So smaller the diameter larger the beam spread. Hope this helps.

      Imagine mobile flash light (small dia) gives high beam divergence, big torch gives small beam divergence

      @@NDTVideoLibrary Sorry for late answer... 3 years... I watched your video, started to use your acronym during UT course. On the exam Day in 2019, I wrote the acronym on my draft paper. You can have some confusion because of stress during exam. But this acronym will give you answers to many questions and calm you down. RESULTS: PASS. Thanks a lot.🙏🙏🙏
