I remember Ashington as a child. My grandmother married an ex miner and we had many holidays there lol! Going to Hinton's! The Ashington and Ellington Club! Rose competitions on a Sunday morning! The paddling pool in the park - which I fell into. The "swimmers" lol. And, of course, trips to Whitley Bay and Morpeth x
