I learnt to never question Preston’s taste. No matter how outrageous it looks, he always finds a way to pull it together into a stunning finished project.
I've watched this awhile back on your channel but didn't comment on it. I think this is an amazing job you did on this pair of shoes. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to seeing more of your work
I'm this close to buying a pair of shoes like these just to have this mirror shine. It would be so out of place in my wardrobe but this is an art. PS, you're the reason I (finally) got me shoe trees (?) for my shoes as I want my new pairs to look good as long as possible.
After seeing the galaxy like pattern on the sole of your other video, I was really curious if you had tried such a patterning/style on the shoe leather itself. And then found this! Looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing the process!
Ah cmon Preston!! I'm blown away by that amazing effect & finish, I'm seriously considering potentially ruining my C&J's to attempt it. You Sir have amazing skills and Thank you so much for firstly costing me a fortune in shoeshine product and quality shoes and trees. I now appreciate shoes in a way I never had. Keep up the great work and all the best from the UK
Very unique and artistic. It certainly stands out and is different enough to illicit positive comment wherever you may go. However, in saying that; It’s like Marmite (or Vegemite for the Aussies); you either love it or hate it. I must also congratulate you in coming so far, from a faceless shy polisher with the gentle voice that I watched in fascination in the early days, without knowing why, to becoming an international celebrity of men’s shoe care and now with an assistant no less. Well done to you and continued good luck.
Yo, Preston's becoming one of Legendary guys in thee old village that's the only one you want to got you for your shoes. Another 10 year's this guy will be completely and absolutely untouchable. @TheElegantOxford excellent work👍🏽👞
i wonder what it would look like on a museum oxford and only doing the caps in marble. essentially a museum shoe with a really flashy cap. It seems the marbling only looks really good under the mirror shine.
I'm looking to improve my wardrobe. I'm over 30 now, recently became a dad. I need a more mature look, something that matches my title and income as well. I didn't know this was something that could be done with leather shoes to enhance their appearance. This marble patina is striking. Would like to see something similar on a tobacco colored shoe.
I love this but personally I think a full glass look would lock in the marble with absolute style. But not everyone loves a glass shoe like myself. If I had money like some of these guys out there a Trafford or some for of Allen Edmonds would smash this look so good.
At first, I was like .... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH NNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But by the end, I was in love. I've got a few pairs of Burgundy Church's and a pair of Allen Edmunds ... I might have a go!
Dear Preston, I always enjoy looking at what you do, I consider them works of art, and I will like you to have that patina in a pair of my own shoes, so could you please let me know where to send them to have that patina made?? Thanks
This is beautiful, I would very much enjoy learning this kind of skills (although I'm sure it takes a while to get to your level). Would you recommend practicing on veg tan scraps, and do you think fiebing dye/pro dye would do the job as good a Saphir ones?
I've got that look naturally from salt damage. After desalting them and using Saphir , I've got a bespoke look.
Best comment ever :-D
@@forsta6654 shows you can sell almost anyone anything these days.
You know what they say, life imitates art.
@@TheElegantOxford 😂 am very glad I've discovered your channel!
@@adrian_V99 A very funny comment if you know the french word for salt: ‘sel’
I always think "ahh that's slightly too much for my taste" but then the shine kicks in and pulls it all together beautifully.
I learnt to never question Preston’s taste. No matter how outrageous it looks, he always finds a way to pull it together into a stunning finished project.
Haha I feel that way a lot too. Sometimes I’m like “shoot how am I going to pull this off”.
Somehow it’s always ok in the end!
This isn't BOLD, it's ELEGANT!! it's beauty tells a story worthy of admiration.
One of the most beautiful shoes I’ve ever seen. I love it. Well done.
Wow…. truly a work of art, congratulations
Never seen anything like it. A work of art.
Beautiful! I would call that a “Burled Wood” look and is reminiscent of interior trims on 80 ’s-90’s Jaguars.
That’s what came in my mind too. Root wood interior with beige/creme seats 🔥
burr walnut definitely comes to mind, an old grand piano in a hotel near me has one and I could look at the wood all day.
Absolutely stunning! I can't imagine anyone not liking it.
Looks like the patina on OLD leather bound books. Very nice!
Wow! I was skeptical at first but they turned out really beautiful! Great job Preston.

These shoes are really remarkable! I have never seen anything like this! Great workmanship!
That's crazy bro. You've elevated the shoe shine game to the next revolutionary stage.

Stunning. That is a beautiful shoe.
I am always amazed by the artist in you. Somehow you can always see the final result even before you get started. Fantastic work, Preston.
For me.....rare to add or write a comment but this one...OMG.....WoW...
AMazing Artistic Work on these shoes!!!

Hi I'm a fan of this❤
Great job, I would love some shoes with that patina
I like it! I would wear these handsome shoes! Semper Fi

Absolutely Lovely! What leather dye/paint did you use? Thanks
Would this be possible on a pair of navy Ferragamo's I would like to do a black marble effect?
I would think not enough contrast.
Great job, congratulations and thanks for share.
Outstanding!
Looks amazing 👍

I hired an assistant and we are getting to more jobs now.
I'm not gonna lie, Ill watch one of your videos when it pops up on my feed and start getting pumped up to wash my work boots lol
Gorgeous!
Excellent video and inspiring, but how much approximately would this cost ?
4:52 then 4:53 why did you miss that stage out? Or did fairies turn up through the night and sprinkle fairy dust on them.
