The garlic baguette, although popular around the world today, has its roots in French culinary tradition. The baguette itself, a typical long and crispy bread, originated in France at the beginning of the 20th century. Its exact origins are not entirely clear, but it became popular in Paris, where it quickly became a staple of French cuisine.
    INGREDIENTS:
    1 kg plain flour Special
    1 pack dried yeast
    1 teaspoon of sugar
    2 teaspoons of vinegar
    3 teaspoons of salt
    7 dcl warm water
1 potato boiled in the skin
1 teaspoon cumin (may or may not be)
    PREPARATION PROCEDURE:
    1. Mix all loose ingredients well.
    2. Add the strained potato, vinegar and start kneading.
    3. Slowly pour in warm water and add cumin to taste.
    4. Knead at medium speed for at least 30 minutes.
    5. Then turn the dough out onto a floured board and knead it lightly with your hands.
    6. Put the dough in a container, flour it and let it rise covered for 30 to 40 minutes.
    7. We shape up to eight baguettes from this batch.
    8. After rising, divide the dough in half and form four baguettes from each part according to the procedure in the video.
    9. Place on a paper-lined baking sheet.
    10. Cover with a towel and leave to rise for about 20 minutes.
    BAKING PROCEDURE:
    1. Cut the top of each baguette and bake it in a preheated oven at 220°C, while pouring water on the bottom tray.
    2. After 10 minutes, remove the tray with water and bake at the same temperature for another 20 minutes, until the baguettes take on a golden brown color.
    3. Brush the baked baguettes with crushed garlic and oil and serve with different types of spreads, salads or just on their own.
    Bon appetit! 👩‍🍳
