I think that the fact that Alex Vincent left acting for so long but came back to the Chucky franchise and continues to stay an active, integral part of it is a real tribute to Mancini as a director and his great relationship with his actors - they return again and again to work with him, and Vincent even came out of acting retirement just to keep going with this series.

Garbage episode honestly. That just happened out of nowhere with no build up or character development. The kid was basically a plot device to get the main characters in that home. Plus the awkward dialogue and some bad acting. The first season was really good, not perfect, but it seems like this show is just going to get worse.

I dearly hope that her sister Meg is also gonna play herself on this series. Seeing the meta comedy of a beloved actress trying to come to grips with a killer doll having possessed her fellow beloved actress sister for 20 years is too juicy a plot development to pass up!
I have a feeling that Nica will either be placed into a doll against her will, or by her own doing. Maybe the Tiffanyish doll, or even more apt, a Good Guy doll. They can't just leave Fiona Dourif like that.
I have a feeling that Gary’s death was a reference to the second Robin, Jason Todd, who also died to a bomb (now what would be crazy if Gary came back, but I doubt he will)

Season 2 is off to a great start, the cast has more chemistry than ever and the setting is set properly with a dark/comedic tone. Looking forward to see where this goes, and hopefully it inspires other legendary franchises to follow suit.

This is post watch, but I just gotta say I loved the first episode and how many horror nods it had in just the first like 10 minutes. Man's really mixed the Child's Play theme with the Halloween score to make a banger that went along side that shot of the kid walking up to Jake's house (kinda reminding me of Halloween 2018's similar one take shot). I also loved the mixed nod to both Scream and The Stangers with the phone call asking for Tamera while maintaining that lovely mysterious caller voice that Scream made so ominous and threating while being elegant and mysterious. Also, the Scooby-Doo reference was great too. Edit: I just gotta say, as a Christian, I agree. No hate to any Catholics out there, but everyone has to admit, Catholicism is like the Twitter of the Christian umbrella. I just find Catholicism so, like, idk. Praising angels, so uniformed and judgmental, and really out there. I know not all Catholics are like that, but all I've ever heard about, mostly Catholic boarding schools or private schools, is bad shit. People be sinning out of spite because of those places.
Hope ya'll get to ask him why the pronunciation of Damballa was changed in the show, assuming just a mess-up, but I find it hard to think Brad Dourif would mess it up after all this time.

The thing that I thought was neat is that the IHM uniform was completely accurate. My grand aunt is part of the IHM and my parents and I noticed the detail. Very clever.
I think it so cool that Don loves the franchise as much as us. A lot of creators and directors only care about that bag, but Don genuinely likes the franchise and he cares about Chucky, the storyline, the actors, and how different each iteration of Chucky is. Tonal Wise, Every movie/season has something so different than the last. I just love that he cares so much about keeping it fresh and investing in these characters and story. What a great dude. This is why Chucky is top tier for me, because the puppeteers, the directors, the creator, the actors, and everyone involved cares so much about Chucky and I love it.

I love being able to watch Chucky with my daughter. Most might think 4 years old is too early to expose kids to horror films. I was 4 when my mom showed me The Howling. It’s one of my top 10 favorite horror movies now. She loves Chucky so much that she told her mom this morning she wants to be Chucky for Halloween. She got super upset with me when I watched the Cult of Chucky recount without her.
I am blown away by how good this TV series has been, the Season 2 premiere was so good. It left me so eager to see what comes next and I've been so spoiled with binge watching from TV series that weekly releases are killing me.
I literally cried not even 5 minutes in because of the truck accident and I also cried when Devon and Jake reunited and kissed😭😭😩💕🥹🥹🤧🤧 Edit: Omg and did anyone notice the name “Dr. Mixter” and the connection from Halloween II??🤩
So some questions after that episode: 1) There's a Chucky Prime? One that retains ALL of his memories? Cuz those three in the back of the truck took a bit to figure out the dude driving the truck was his mortal enemy, Andy fuckin Barclay...? 2) The way Caroline flashed the blade laying in bed with the Wedding Belle doll.. are we to assume Tiffany "Beaucoup'd" her soul into Caroline's body like Chucky did to Alice? I was almost expecting Barb to be dead this episode, not gonna lie. 3) That therapist? Has to be allied with Chucky and Tiffany. Gives a Chucky survivor a Wedding Belle/Tiffany doll, and THEN sends all three survivor kids to the same place Charles Lee Ray was raised after his dad was murdered and he killed his own mother? I don't trust this ol bird. I'm wondering if maybe she's the one that covered up Charles killing the groundskeeper, and then let him leave the place? OR (and this could be garbage cuz IDK if she's still alive or dead by now), what if the "therapist" is actually Tiffany's mother? Maybe we'll finally meet where all those "you know what my mother used to always say" came from...?

I think they were alluding to the idea of "the original piece of chucky's soul" with the Dolls in the truck at the beginning. Being as how they didn't have memories of Andy or Tiffany. So maybe the gang will focus on identifying and taking out the older Chucky dolls first to kind of help themselves in future encounters. Also there's no way Andy is dead. But he could have had his body possessed.
In “Jaws”, Alex Kitner was only about 11 or 12 years old. In the original book of the same name, Alex Kitner was only 6 years old. They only wanted a slightly older kid for the movie version because if they had been true to the kid’s age in the book, all devil could’ve broken loose at the boxoffice.
This explains why he the kill count for seed of chucky defended the movie. Seems like there's a rule about ethics and journalism, but not one for other forms of media.
If you get a chance, I think you should ask Don Mancini if there is a chance we'll get to see any of the other legacy characters in the future. All I'd want is a simple 'yes' or 'no' because I think it would be fun to catch up with others.

This is why Chucky is top tier for me, because the puppeteers, the directors, the creator, the actors, and everyone involved cares so much about Chucky and I love it.

How did you not even bring up Andy?! It's freakin Andy for Chuck's sake! I mean, I know they said there was no body, and so he'll probably be back, but to just "kill" him off like that was crazy! And with Don loving to go hard on the crazy, it means there's a huge possibility that he did die! Or maybe he got possessed! That would be so crazy and tragic and sad and poetic and unexpected. Or he'll be back as a surprise which won't be a huge surprise, but it'll just feel so good if Andy wins in the end. I really hope he isn't gone for good. I'm hoping it just wasn't brought up because any answer or nonanswer by Don would've given too much away. I've never been so simultaneously excited and worried about an upcoming season of a show. Andy has been the shit since I was a kid, and now as an adult I need adult Andy to be okay for me to be okay. Ha

Right?! Ending Andy that way and the Kyle just getting a mention on his way out as her ending? I think it has to be a fake out though. Both of them mentioned going back for the next season when talking to Tilly on their Chucky Talks Podcast. And for as much as Don Mancini seems to like to do crazy stuff, from what all the cast/crew interviews and bts stuff, it does seem like there's a lot of loyalty going both ways between Don and his people. So with that and no one addressing anything about it on this episode of the podcast, it HAS to be to avoid spoiling anything. Killing Andy and Kyle like that would hurt too many fans. Even if they die, it can't be odd camera like that. Not for them. They deserve epic deaths. But not really cuz I don't want that. Haha

I love being able to watch Chucky with my daughter. Most might think 4 years old is too early to expose kids to horror films. I was 4 when my mom showed me The Howling. It’s one of my top 10 favorite horror movies now. She loves Chucky so much that she told her mom this morning she wants to be Chucky for Halloween. She got super upset with me when I watched the Cult of Chucky recount without her.

I am blown away by how good this TV series has been, the Season 2 premiere was so good.
It left me so eager to see what comes next and I've been so spoiled with binge watching from TV series that weekly releases are killing me.
I literally cried not even 5 minutes in because of the truck accident and I also cried when Devon and Jake reunited and kissed😭😭😩💕🥹🥹🤧🤧

So some questions after that episode:
1) There's a Chucky Prime? One that retains ALL of his memories? Cuz those three in the back of the truck took a bit to figure out the dude driving the truck was his mortal enemy, Andy fuckin Barclay...?
2) The way Caroline flashed the blade laying in bed with the Wedding Belle doll.. are we to assume Tiffany "Beaucoup'd" her soul into Caroline's body like Chucky did to Alice? I was almost expecting Barb to be dead this episode, not gonna lie.
3) That therapist? Has to be allied with Chucky and Tiffany. Gives a Chucky survivor a Wedding Belle/Tiffany doll, and THEN sends all three survivor kids to the same place Charles Lee Ray was raised after his dad was murdered and he killed his own mother? I don't trust this ol bird. I'm wondering if maybe she's the one that covered up Charles killing the groundskeeper, and then let him leave the place? OR (and this could be garbage cuz IDK if she's still alive or dead by now), what if the "therapist" is actually Tiffany's mother? Maybe we'll finally meet where all those "you know what my mother used to always say" came from...?

Theres no way they killed andy in the first episode, im now living by the philosophy of we didnt see a body so they arent actually dead,so with this i say both andy and kyle are alive

I think they were alluding to the idea of "the original piece of chucky's soul" with the Dolls in the truck at the beginning. Being as how they didn't have memories of Andy or Tiffany. So maybe the gang will focus on identifying and taking out the older Chucky dolls first to kind of help themselves in future encounters.
Also there's no way Andy is dead. But he could have had his body possessed.
I love how there's no boundaries. I didn't expect them to kill Gary so soon.

In “Jaws”, Alex Kitner was only about 11 or 12 years old. In the original book of the same name, Alex Kitner was only 6 years old. They only wanted a slightly older kid for the movie version because if they had been true to the kid’s age in the book, all devil could’ve broken loose at the boxoffice.
