    Thank you so much! The tip about spanks was super helpful for keeping all those pads locked in and logos hidden.

    I have AIRCAST supports i wear under my boots to support my ankles sometimes..although i dont tie my boots all the way when i wear them because that aint possible, but keep me from snapping my ankles, but i use those soccer shin guards sometimes too because they keep me from busting my shins

    If you ever need your hair and makeup done you should see my sister Emma at East Vanity Parlour..I'd love to see more lightsaber stuff around Vancouver or North Van. I live in Calgary now for work but miss Vancouver terribly. i'm just waiting for my 1st lightsaber and look forward to trying some spins n sh.t. Cheers

    Your how to be a bad ass video wasn't quite what I thought it would be. I'm very into spinning and am at a point I feel I could make a career out of this and will certainly take the steps forward this summer by performing more at my local downtown area with business cards and see what gigs I get. But I would very much appreciate a full story of how you got to where you are. how you entered into the stunt person realm. That specifically is an idea of mine. I like doing things that resemble kung fu even tho its all self taught I know for a fact its correct. its just natural body movement to me. But from how to go from skill to making money from it I'm completely in the dark and any light would be much appreciated. Cheers. Subbed because your videos are very informative. Sadly I don't do tutorials, but any performance video I most definitely will watch that's the way I learn by seeing then doing. break downs make things harder for me, but certainly good and well made tutorials for those who use them.

      It would take a much longer video to talk about how to begin working professionally. There is no "one" way to do but millions. Everyone goes about it there own and it really has more to do with who you know. It also depends of what or if there is any performance industry is in your city.

    Hey! Very interesting video! So when you go to set for a movie e. g. you have to bring your whole stuff with you? So you are responsible for your protection on your own? 😀

    Feel like I need some kind of bag now, but nowhere near all that, lol. But some thin knee pads could be peachy, think those stunt bumpers are just silicone and thinner stuff is way less expensive. Reasonable old man goals = savings.
    Also, lending stuff, or even letting people touch my sabers, I need to learn to be a no on that. I don't even want a thanks, just bring stuff back. Respect other people's things. Or you say, 'hey careful swinging that around' and they decide to do exactly not that.
    Just wish I was more consistent with the no, but have to remember that it's them creating the need for it, not me. Generally prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, but simply cannot. 😮‍💨

    i made it thru this vid and it was interesting enough...i did 20 minute talk vids before...and i did vide where i read books and those vids i render into a single vid and they can be an hour long like the vid where i read the whole apocryphal Testament of Solomon book about Solomon confronting demons...that vid was an hour long i think

    Interesting vid! Those pads don't look like much at first glance, are you wearing that when doing stunts like on Deadpool where you smash into a wall? Unbelieveable how they absorb so much, especially your back I think will need to have some solid protection

      You would be surprised what kind of impact those stunt bumpers can take!

      I already am. You have to be far from fragile to even be doing these stunts in first place but still, you take quite some beatings and I'm just assuming that sometimes you'll have to do these stunts in more than just one take, so..seriously sturdy stuff!

    There is one thing I am curious: is it common you borrow your pads to your doubles? Like is it only during rehearsals, or is it part of your job description?

    • @samaraisnt
      @samaraisnt 2 года назад

      It's rude and just sets not being fully prepared so they expect the stunt person to essentially, lose an expensive pad. Rustiik talks about buying the Ace elbow/knee pads cause they're cheap and can loan them out...shouldn't have to still.

    Where's...the rest of the bag then? Lol should've just posted the whole long thing.
