This is absolutely beautiful song, Barry brings the emotion, and the enthusiastic jive. Yeah it's very soulful. There is nothing bad to say about the song. It is an amazing song.. I love it......
Disco moved from the black neighbourhoods and gay party scene with incredible speed and ferocity. Typically, the music industry-not really understanding its class underpinnings, outsider roots, social-cultural effects, or long term viability-fetishized the scene, turned it into a fad, and exploited it for easy profit. In many ways, it mirrored what happened to punk in London. The Bee Gees simply rode the wave all the way to bank, never really having the time or inclination to look at what was happening outside their bubble; difficult to do at the best of times when you are in the eye of the storm. They were a phenomenon of Beatle-like proportions, owning the pop charts charts and selling albums by the ship load. By 1979, the game was already afoot-punk transformed into new wave and new romantic and alternative rock; disco morphed into dance, electronic and hip-hop. The two divergent roads would meet up in the late 80s, via rave, and move the music scene into multiple directions, from Trip-Hop to Brit-Pop. As for The Bee Gees, their influence is felt throughout the modern and contemporary scene-from the use of drum loops to the marriage of falsetto and masculine beats to how music is used in movies. Lest we forget; they were a great live act, could play their own instruments, write catchy songs, and harmonize like nobody’s business.
The verse of this is one of the saddest songs I've ever heard. It's not just the words but the beautiful, sad tune with glorious harmonies that bring tears to my eyes.
I was 15 when Lonley Days Lonley Nights first came out in 1971 or maybe 14 going on 15 as it came out early 1971 But dont qoate me Im probably wrong so please tell me if I am right or not . My memory is good for an old fart of 64 years old but I could be wrong but recall it on the radio in early 1971 .
A great short rendition of one of my very favorite Bee Gees song but boy, they didn't waste any time getting off the stage. As a last call song for the evening, it would've been nice if it was at least as long as the song released on it's recording.
And some men don't realize what their woman is luring them into until it's too late. Regrettably, it cuts both ways. My "ex", jeez she's the ultimate embodiment of a woman becoming their mother over time. I was lucky to remain as I always had been but had I become my father, well that would have been icing on top of the cake for me.
Gente quanta falta eles fazem ! Meu Deus acabou totalmente com este que foi o melhor trio do mundo bee gees IMORTAL #saudadesmeusamores.a vc Barry voz ímpar exclusivo td de bom Te Amo.

Joe Dov , Any music they made was great. It was great dancing music, so that was one group of people who loved it. I thought it was great. Rock On BeeGees! I love you! ❤️🌹❤️
I DON'T GET IT WHY WAS DISCO SO BAD. CAUSE MAYBE YOU GUYS COULDN'T DANCE, OR GET A GIRL? SHIT MAN, I WOULD GET THE BIG GIRL TO DANCE WITH ME CAUSE THE ONES THAT THOUGHT THEY WERE HOT SAT ON THEIR ASSES ALL NIGHT. BIG GIRLS LOVE TO DANCE, AND THEY WERE HAPPY TO GET INVITED TO THE DANCE FLOOR. BEFORE YOU SAY YEAH I BET YOU WERE SOME SHORT FAT GUY, WELL NO.I STAND AT ALMOST SIX FEET ALWAYS WORKED OUT. I WAS ABOUT 18 YEARS OLD. I WAS IN THE AIR FORCE IN A SPECIAL OPERATION UNTIL. VERY MUCH GOOD PHYSICAL SHAPE.,AND NOW AT MY AGE STILL PRETTY KICK ASS. LOT OF INJURIES DUE TO THE MISSIONS I WAS IN. DURING MY TIME IN THE MIDDLE EAST. SO PLEASE LEAVE DISCO ALONE.
Sold out? They were ahead of their time. We now know that the anti-disco movement of the late 70s was homophobic, racist bullshit, which threw everything under the bus, including Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Bee Gees, and yes, actual disco. The disco backlash stayed rock’s demise by a decade, which had become a spent force by the mid-70s. Punk was rock’s last gasp, which quickly succumbed to marketing under the new wave banner. Disco was rebranded as dance and the rest is history.
Magical songwriting at it's highest level, great musicians and vocalists, day's before mashing ? mixing? etc..etc...pure class !!
probably the best version of this song, Barry be really brings it in this song. I love it....
Try listening to the original version from 1970. I think musically it is the best.

Great song. I loved the Bee Gees before they sold out to disco.

Mark, you need to listen to their music after disco!
