Allie, thank you for doing this. I can't have kids but I feel like its important to talk about these things to normalize this process for other people as well. Appreciate your vulnerability, I think this will help other people more than you know.
I recommend taking some ovulation tests & really learn your cycle:) since your cycle isn’t super regular it may be good to take some ovulation tests & really be aware of your symptoms when you’re ovulating so you can know with out testing:)

We tried for 4 years for our first. Going through failed fertility treatments, multiple appointments, etc. 9 medicated cycles later, we finally have our first on the way. I never expected to get a positive pregnancy test. I was prepared for another negative, as they seemed to never get easier. I picked up that test and saw two pink lines.. I was numb. I had no idea how to feel because I never thought it would happen. Currently 9 weeks tomorrow.
It is a journey that is worth it in the end. ❤
Note: it is easier to pee in a cup and dip the test, so you know you have enough on the test.

Momma of 3 here. I just wanna say go get some first response pink dye tests. They're the BEST. Those digital ones always said negative even when my first response ones were positive..it always took a lil bit for the digital to be positive. The first response are seriously the best ones girl
Yes I felt those emotions... 4 miscarriages and it doesn't get any easier to see "not pregnant" for the millionth time. Still not a mom but grateful for my donor. Hoping to be a single mom soon 🤞🏼💪🏽

as someone who has been ttc our first for almost 2 years, i think its so important to share the process. when we first started we had NO IDEA it could ever be this hard. We have had testing, poked and prodded, nothings "wrong" we just aren't getting pregnant. for whatever reason. we go through all the emotions and i think people assume you just...get...pregnant. you go off your protection, whatever that is, and boom. some how some way you get pregnant. but in reality it's SUCH A SHOT IN THE DARK it could happen. only what, 25% of healthy women get pregnant in the first 6 months. that's such a low number if you don't understand how this all really really happens. what it takes to even get pregnant. i find it makes me appreciate it all that much more. when i do actually get pregnant, i feel like i will have a new level of appreciation for not only my baby but my body and pregnancy in general. I wish there were more realistic videos out there for women to see this. it's not until you are in it and doing it do you really realize what it takes and the toll it takes both mentally and physically.

Thank you for being so real. My dr. told me, since I only had like 2 periods a year, that I would never get pregnant. Then BOOM! as soon as I relaxed and just quit even trying it happened! I never got pregnant again, but I did have my one miracle!
Thank you for sharing your journey. I tried for 8 years and took fertility pills and 3 rounds of clomid. We got pregnant naturally and carried our sweet Ethan for 23 weeks and he lived for 9 sweet days. We will be trying again in May since we had to have a c section. It's def not an easy journey but I know you got this!!❤️
I tried for years after my first child with no success. Months like these mixed w/ multiple early MC’s gutted me to a breaking point. I eventually made the decision to stop trying for my mental health cuz I just couldn’t fathom another loss even for the small chance it could go normal. I’m content with my decision and feel extremely fortunate to have had it go so well the first time tho, after struggling for so long I’ll always be amazed by the process and root for all the incredibly brave mamas on this difficult journey. Women are amazing! Wishing you all the luck, patience, and strength during this time. ❤️
Wishing you and Charles the best in your fertility journey. I’ve been dealing with infertility for many years. I wish I had not waited so long to even start trying. Needless to say being married for 19 years and we have no kids. We are still trying with IVF. Wish us luck.

I’m so happy that you’re sharing this journey. My husband and I trying for our first baby (since September) and I tried confiding in a friend that had difficulty conceiving and she kind of tears me down for being upset that it isn’t happening. I know it’s a process but that doesn’t mean it’s not hard when you get a negative and I’m so happy to see someone who seems to have the same emotions about it that I do. Thank you for sharing. I remember when my daughter kept getting discouraged about not getting pregnant. She went through treatments with all the injections. I was afraid to say too much but she was so anxious. Her and her husband didn't get pregnant from the fertility treatments. Later they took a short vacation to visit relatives in Colorado and shortly after they found out she was expecting their son. Sometimes we can get so anxious that it affects our homones.
Aww, Allie, I love this. Having kids was never a want of mine, but I sure do enjoy watching you and Charles become amazing at the role of dad and mom. I know Miss Remi is going to be an awesome big sister!!! I am looking forward to seeing this journey unfold!!
I feel the same way. Kids are not something I want but I really enjoy watching their beautiful family and looking forward to their journey! Allie and Charles are great parents and Remi is so smart

I have been with my husband since 2007 and we haven’t tried but we haven’t prevented all of these years. After reaching out to a RE we discovered I had infertility. We got pregnant after our first IUI and it was so exciting, but he was stillborn. A few months later after we moved across country for a new military duty station we were ready to start trying again. We finally had a healthy rainbow baby and she’s now 8 months old.

Thank you for sharing this and being so open with the community. I truly look up to you with how open and positive you are. We are on month 5 of trying and I was starting to discouraged, but you definitely help bring me hope.
Oh the memories this brings back, I got so emotional (also the music is one of my favourite pieces which always makes me emotional). My husband and I had 4 miscarriages before having 2 years of unexplained infertility. We found out we were pregnant On 30th December 2018 and our little girl was born on 14th of July 2019. She is our little miracle. We've thought about whether we want to try again, but we're not ready yet. Given our history, it's an incredibly big emotional commitment.
I think once you make that choice to actually try, rather than just seeing what happens, you go all in and then any negative tests are a little disappointing because your hearts in it fully. Be gentle with yourself, if you find you're getting further in without any positives, maybe have like a 3-5 minute routine of positive self care that you can do after you've done the test. However, also let yourself feel it, don't feel like you can't be upset or disappointed just because you're relatively new to the journey. This isn't like playing the lottery each week, it's a future child that I'm sure you've already thought about, dreamt about and wished for many times. You're bound to have emotions each time you know you have to wait a little while longer for those dreams to come true.
Thank you for feeling like you can share it here. If I learnt anything from being in the TTC (trying to conceive) community over the years, is that we all feel comforted by knowing we're not alone in the wait. I hope you're not waiting too long until you get your positive x
Im 31 and started trying for my first. I got my iud out in August. I was pregnant towards the end of November but I lost it at 5 weeks. I had one period after that and now I’m Pregnant ! I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and very hopeful that it’s a healthy pregnancy ! I have yet to see my OB. It’s a scary emotional roller coaster. Im praying for you ! Sending you all my love !

Thank you for sharing your journey. Your emotions are completely valid. Even though you aren't discouraged, you are allowed to feel sad on those cycles that don't work. I cried over every single negative test until I finally got pregnant after a year of trying naturally and then 1 cycle of IUI.
Thank you for sharing this. Me and my husband are currently trying to get pregnant as well. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and Pcos. Iwas told I was not ovulating. After 3 years I finally got put on medicine to help me ovulate and this is our first month with the medicine. Praying for baby Trippy #2 and all the couples out there currently trying. 💗💗

I think it’s awesome that you’re doing this. Soooo many struggle and it’s good to know they’re not alone. My second pregnancy was an early miscarriage and the next took 7-8 months to happen and I was already 36 but it did happen. And it happened when I finally gave up and said oh well, “if it’s meant to be it will be” and the next month I was pregnant. That was almost 15 years ago! It’s hard not to have timing and plans set in your mind and then you feel disappointed but that’s natural. Sending fertile vibes your way for a healthy pregnancy and all that comes with it. I have an 8 month old…and Im thinking about wanting to try for baby #2 already…and you didn’t have to say anything for me to see and automatically feel what you feel. Thanks for sharing these! It’s not just couple that are dealing with infertility issues that feel disappointment and it’s okay for any couple to feel disappointed regardless of where they are at in the process of trying.

It sucks how no one talks about struggling to have baby number 2 and then everyone everyday asks “when are you having another one? When are you giving her a sibiling? Do you want more kids?” Like IM TRYING WE ARE TRYING. we’ve been trying for 9 months now. Our first was done the first month we tried but when you try again and the negative keeps happening it’s so heartbreaking.

I can never know what any of this feels like but Im so happy you shared. As a guy I feel like its good to watch since my gf and I will eventually be experiencing this. Its like an insight into knowing a womans emotions. I would never think how shed feel toward me being there during the test. Hearing you were anxious more when Char is there was an eye opener. I work at an acupuncture clinic and I see fertility cases most IVF & IUI come for support. The best advice I've learnt: go for acupuncture weekly, especially 1 week before ovulation and 1 week after. Seed cycle, sex every 3 days (takes 3 days for sperm regeneration), diet and stress management :) sending love to anyone ttc!

I got pregnant with my first baby when I was 33, 2 months after we got married. My next pregnancy, 4 years later, took us 4 months to get pregnant! I worried I was too old, so silly of me, but you think of those things! I'm sure you will get pregnant, you two take such good care of yourselves. Don't have stress in your life right now, that's not good for you. Can't wait for happy tears in the bathroom!!
Watching ovulation and NOT STRESSING is key :)
Thanks Allie, we are on month 4 of trying and feeling that disappointment after each time I had a negative test has kind of made me anxious for this months results. It’s nice to see the reality of trying and I’m glad you are sharing. Definitely makes me more relaxed. It is always so much easier to take a test when you don’t have such high hopes but knowing that one day it will come makes it all worth it.
I thought you would only have one, after all the anxiety you went through with Remi, but really glad to see you and Charles are trying again....

Hi Allie if you stress it and think about you not getting pregnant that’s not going to help with the process. You have to try and not think about it and let it be. It happened to me at one point and when I least expect it I got pregnant from my son. I pray that soon you can become pregnant 🙏🏻 much love! ❤️
I felt like sharing my journey to my babies helped me through the though days. So i really appreciate that you are sharing this too. My first took 4 years and ivf, my second took 6 months naturally but with a misscarriage before. Regardless how long it takes or how the baby comes to you it’s so intense. Lots of love! ❤️
Thank you for this. I've been trying for 10months now I know my cycle inside out I track ovulation my body is very regular but so far it just hasn't happened for us. I wish it was more normal to talk about this part of the journey

I got pregnant with my Son when I was 23 had him age 24 back in Dec 2005. When Dec 2006 came around when he turned one, I decided to stop the pill to start TTC#2. It's been 15 years now of taking NO contraception and in all those years I have never fallen pregnant. I'll be 40 in August now, and I've all but given up hope now.
This just really hit me in the feels. I can definitely relate to this feeling.
My husband wasn't supposed to have kids. I was surprised when I was pregnant. 2 yrs later i was pregnant again. I just don't want you to stress. That little baby will be here in time.💕💕
when i was 15 i had an ovarian cyst rupture on an ovary and was told id probably never have kids tilted uterus endo wrecked ovaries etc. then when my hub and i were first together, we got pregnant rather quickly... with twins! i lost one first trimester and had some complications but carried him to term a bit of a rough birth but nothing too dramatic, had our miracle boy. when he was around remis age or a bit younger even we started trying for another... i get the disappointments of the negatives even if it is early and the trying to not be discouraged is hard when its not coming easily esp when it already did once.
my boys are 6 and 1/2 years apart it was a whooooooollllee journey, he and i both almost died in birth as well and left me completely unable to have more. hes about to turn 21 in 4 days, it was worth every neg test every heart break i felt when i started a period every agonizing pain carrying him when the drs said to abort him! i would 100 % do it all again if i had to to have my young man. i am sorry you are going through this now and may even have to endure more to get to your goal eventually or your plans in life may change down the road, who knows what tomorrow brings. i do wish you the best of luck going ahead and hope it happens for you two eventually (hopefully sooner rather than later). /hugs

Mu husband and I got pregnant with our daughter with in 4 months. Our son who is 6 years younger, took us a year and one month. We had all the appointments scheduled to see any issues... Boom pregnant! Chill, relax, enjoy your husband. Take a little date without Remi day/night trip. 🥰
I can completely relate to your emotions. I felt like it took forever for me to get pregnant and I cried every time I took a test and it was negative. Even after feeling like I had “pregnancy symptoms”. I tracked everything, including ovulation. I even went so far as to do at home fertility testing because I was sure something was wrong. Honestly I think when the fertility tests came back normal I think it took away the stress I had about not being able to get pregnant and allowed me to get pregnant because it happened within a month of doing the fertility testing. I think a lot of my issue was stress. I’m not sure if this comment helps you at all but I am happy you’re sharing your journey because at least for me, I had so many misconceptions about how easy it was to get pregnant and I spent a year thinking there was something wrong with me despite doctors telling me how normal it was at my age to take a bit to get pregnant.

Allie, I have a daughter who is a few months younger than Remi. We were pregnant with her after the first try. We started trying for a second in June 2021 it was 5 months of no’s before we got our yes in late November. Sending you positive baby vibes ❤️

They have ovulation test kits out there, look into one of those and really track your cycle

Love,stress is a huge factor in this process. Maybe skip a month of tests? Just go with the flow, divine timing ✨️ 💕
It took us 4 months to get pregnant with #2. When I get asked about my journey I always hate talking about it. My journey has been easier and I feel so bad for those who struggle. I'm pregnant with #3 and almost thought this was not going to be a possibility. I had bad cells and had to have surgery to remove and was worried. We felt are family was not done and felt that it may not be able to happen.
It took us 13 months to conceive baby #2, yet only took a month with baby 1.
If it's meant to happen, it'll happen.
It on average takes a healthy person a year to conceive, so be realistic and try not to worry if it takes a little longer this time.
I totally recommend getting the cheap ovulation and pregnancy tests from Amazon and start tracking your cycle more detailed. Also peeing into a cup and dipping the test into it is way easier to make sure you have enough pee on the test. Good luck.

I know lots of people are suggesting stuff, and i know it's probably a repeat i am saying. But speak to your doctor, both you and Charles should get tested (blood work/ s*men testing) my partner and i needed that and i am waiting to go for a dye test now.
Another thing i suggest is joining support groups, i never knew how much they helped until i joined one. Sorry one more thing, clear blue tests, if they aren't digitial sadly the blue dye tests (which you used) sadly also can give a lot of false positives, myself and others have had it sadly- i do highly reccomend first response, they have a box that holds 3 tests in it one being a digital
But yes, track ovulation, get some ovulation tests (you can get box of 100 for cheap on amazon) also first morning pee (tmi sorry) that holds more HCG which helps detect pregnancy

Side note save yourself some $$ and get the test from the dollar tree they are the same exact ones the doctors offices use. Sending all the good vibes and baby dust your way!! Remi will be the best big sister. You know it'll be so awesome if Remi is completely potty trained before baby gets here that's gonna be so helpful with only having one in diapers. And luckily girls are easier to potty train.
