    Phenotype: CD38, CD138, lambda light chain, CD56 (partial), CD117 (partial). Monoclonal gammopathy, IgA lambda. 13q-/-13: Monosomy 13 detected, 1p32/1q21: Duplication of 1q detected, IgH (14q32): IgH rearrangement detected.
    This webinar was extremely helpful in understanding my biopsy results.

    Is there a better time of day to have this test?

    My Kappa free light chain is at 29.3 the lambda is 25.2 and the ratio is 1.16 what d o rd that mean

      Mine is high also and so is the ratio too bad no former Drs don't open a website for people to ask questions when your regular Dr doesn't or don't care

    Is there a journal version of this?

    In 3 months, kappa-lambda ratio went up from 3.4 to 20. Kappa is 198. Could this be defined as a light chain escape episode? All other test results are good. No M-spike detected.

    One example was not explained -- What if both light chains are high. But ratio is normal.
    K: 65 L: 44 Ratio: 1.47 -- Serum protein electrophoresis does not suggest a
    monoclonal pattern.

      This is most likely a reduced glomerular filtration rate and both kflc and lflc are being retained at higher rates

    can you have a normal free light chain ratio but you have a small about of M protein

    • @yogamon
      @yogamon 7 месяцев назад +1

      Of course. Abnormal ratio is around 70-90% specific to presence of monoclonal proteins

      @@yogamon it was for a family member, M protein went away, with no change in treatment hopefully it says away

    Kappa/lambda ratio is normal but kappa and lambda free chain assay value is high....???

  • @yogamon
    @yogamon 7 месяцев назад

    You bring up light chain escape which is not a real phenomenon, it is undetected hook from tbe assay used meaning the flcs were always high, just hooking
