    I’ve 6.5” aluminum. Love It. Very lively, responsive. Tone wise..records great with stock Remo USA. Live/sitting over it..thinking Remo Skyntone. Thank you for solid review.

    Interesting little detail to mention: I own a sensitone elite (it's how they used to be named) brass snare, and not only were they 1.5 mm against current 1.0 mm, the current edition doesn't even have rubber insulation between lugs and the shell..gosh, I wonder how much did these cost saving decisions have saved them.

    I think I prefer: aluminium, 5", high tuning.

    So what's the difference between "mirror steel" and sensitone steel? difference in quality? Does it taste almost the same?

    This new version notice on badges they removed "MADE IN TAIWAN" words; Does it represent Pearl now move assembly line on CHINA? But I believe shell probably still made by same company in Taiwan just like old version.

    Pearl has a great Sensitone phosphor bronze snare.
    Pity it wasn’t included here .

    Are these made in china?

    • @vaughanxaviermusic
      @vaughanxaviermusic Год назад

      No. The original sensitone line (2004 ish) featured the sensitone, and the sensitone elite. The base line sensitone was made in China and had 8 rather than 10 lugs, and the sensitone elite was American made with 10 lugs and overall higher price for higher quality. Some time after that pearl discontinued both the sensitone and sensitone elite. Then in (2018? Ish) they brought back the drums with a slightly different name, sensitone heritage alloy, which is what we have today. The difference is this time there is no budget made in China option. As far as the difference between the old sensitone elite and the new sensitone heritage alloy, there are very little differences. As far as I'm concerned they're the same drum just a different name
