Alison, awesome piece of work here.. We're an Australian family who came all the way across the Pacific Ocean to catch the Southwest Chief back in 2018.. spent a few hours in Union Station before departing, absolutely loved it.. very impressed with the building,extremely photogenic.
An editor of a train magazine who was in one of my episodes sent this to me - so great seeing those historical photos, hearing the stories and about all that was filmed there… I was out of town during their recently Harvey event and bummed to have missed it. Glad I got this experience that you shared 👍🤗

Fantastic! I thought I knew Union Station already having taken several walking tours, but this just added a whole new layer!! I love it more than ever now!!
In the fifties when I was in elementary school we would go to Union Station to pickup family members from back east who were visiting us. In the early 2000s I would stop at Union Station when I was changing trains from Rancho Cucamongo to Glendale. Across the street is Felipes where you can get a great french dip sandwich.
I luv that place and was just there a few weeks ago. There was a renovation a few years ago - are those seat cibets the original or are rhey replacements? I bet the wood part of the seats is the same though, right?
Wonderful segment! What an absolutely stunning and incredible place :) But the stylized color correction of the video is frustrating because we can't see the actual colors in this vintage environment. :(

Loved sitting in those big leather chairs sipping coffee feeding the sparrows waiting for the Surfliner. It's always 1939. Magical place.💕
