    The reason Osha got the planet right during the test was because she was no longer lying. That was after they had resumed the test, something we didn't actually see in episode 3. It's not an inconsistency, it's a continuation of a previous scene.

      @bajansamurai Месяц назад +3

      Yeah, that's simply willful frustration making a simple thing a problem at that point. We got Osha's POV before, which was flawed - thinking Mae tried to purposely burn her, and not knowing the extent of her interaction with the Jedi during the test.
      All it was is Osha continuing the test - Indara even talks with Sol after about her passing the test, but after getting "coached". So, consistent with before, in Ep3 they cut away soon after the trick of her pretending to guess wrong, and Sol saying "correct" each time, then telling her it is OK to give truthful answers if she really wants to be a Jedi - which we know happened. We knew in advance she passed the test and that some of the scene wasn't complete, it wasn't a big stretch to think the test resumed instead of some situation like them saying *"We know she purposefully got them wrong, ergo, she would have gotten them all right therefore she passed."*

    34:30ish mark- Indara was not the main instigator by any means, but there was multiple small decisions along the way that she ultimately allowed or endorsed actions that lead to the catastrophe. Sol pushed going as a group instead of just her, cheated during Osha's testing and Indara seemed to realize that, Sol insisted they go and save these girls, Sol convinced her NOT to tell the Jedi Council anything, which were all situations in which she said NO first, and then ultimately folded every time. All those little moments pushed them towards that end result. In that way, she was very much at fault because the top decision maker, she really could have said no, listen to me and were calling the council right now before things get out of hand.

    Thanks to Brandon, Maude and Tom! 🌑 The "we must be sacrificed" misquote little 'Mae' conveyed to 'Indara' and 'Sol' had a huge impact. They literally thought the girls were in mortal danger. 'Aniseya' actually said, "It is about sacrificing a *part* of ourselves". 🔸 It's also wild to learn that 'Sol' was imposing his own wants (to have a Padawan... even though he might not be ready) onto the situation. He even almost lost his temper with 'Indara' at the end. Looked like he was set to hit her. That shows a very un-Jedi-like conflict that adds to his motivations. 🔸 And don't get me started on 'Torbin' being all immature from boredom and homesickness. 'Indara' turned out to be the most reasonable one of all.

      If it is teleportation, it's akin to Nightcrawler stepping into the brimstone dimension then coming out at another point quickly. If it is illusion, it's smoke and mirrors to move unimpeded.

      It's also allowable that since this all happens decades before anything we know the Jedi know, that their knowledge of their practices is limited. It's pretty clear since they mentioned there are many different splinter Force groups across the Galaxy.

    I get the idea that we think more is owed in the explanation of the twins' creation, ultimate purpose, and potential, or about the witches' history and use of the Thread; but so far they've given hints that we can make certain assumptions.
    Mother Aniseya used the convergence to basically create life from her own essence. It is basically her act of using the Force instead of technology to produce a clone of herself. Instead of one, she created two, maybe intentionally, so they're even more exact than twins. In the method of split creation, however, they got slightly different portions of Aniseya, so neither of them is truly the same personality as the other or wholly Aniseya.
    This is why their physiology only takes after Aniseya despite being carried in Koril.
    The only thing we can't satisfyingly answer from context clues is what the sacrifice would have been and if it was literal or metaphorical. Were the twins meant to lead the coven by containing Aniseya (or all of them) or channeling them from the Force/Thread after death and rebuilding the coven, or were the Twins meant to be used as sacrifices and lead them from inside the Thread?

    Now, structurally, the editing is wanting and the format should have been put out all at once irrespective of split into hour long segments versus these bad abt 30 min chops.

We never heard directly from the council, just what Indara told everyone they said. So, when she says that they need to lie, it may be a way of covering not just the team, but herself as well if she went against the council’s wishes.

    • @bajansamurai
      @bajansamurai Месяц назад +1

      Pretty much. The show also clearly established the Mother Aniseya is far stronger than any of the other witches. Taking over unprepared Torbin while carrying on a conversation is lightwork to her.
      The other 48 members, although they're probably cumulatively stronger, were controlling a master Jedi. However harder that actually was, it became even harder when being pushed back against by a second master Jedi in Indara. It's basically force feedback to a short circuiting of their brains because they were all connected.
      The only things left to interpretation are: did being forced out fry their brains permanently (brain dead), short them temporarily (coma), or simply strain them (passed out)? For the latter, the outcome remains that they'd die shortly afterward in the exploding collapse of the fortress, so I guess it doesn't ultimately matter because the Jedi's interference in their affairs led to nearly 50 dead (we can question whether Mother Koril survived this).

    My long shot theory goes like this. There's a vergence on Brendok and there were vergences on Exegol. Palpatine threw Ben Solo into the vergence on Exegol but only part of him crawled out. Another part, the Kylo Ren part, went through it and emerged at Brendok in the past. He came to know the witches and guided them in making the twins receptacles for the spirits of the 2 mothers. He attended the Ascension (he was the tall hooded figure) and saved Mae from her fall when the bridge collapsed and became Qimir's master which is why the Kylo Ren theme plays when Qimir is around. Thus Kylo was both the first and the final Ren, and Qimir is a KOR, and Mae was being tested to become a knight but failed. Osha will however succeed as she will kill Sol for the murder of her mother when Mae tells her what really happened and so she will become a KOR while Mae will forgive Sol, forego her quest for revenge, and decide to settle on a desert planet and become a moisture farmer. What do think SW fans?😂😂😂

    Maude and company are kind of a lot nit-picky here, is it always like this? i find more sense here that in other series before (ex. Ashoka or Mando3season), Indara didn't do wrong like the others but she's responsible for a group sent to investigate a planet, but her group killed a complete coven and a child, defying direct orders of the council, hiding everything is just a way out and not screw herself and the others, and even Osha, this is one example of why i see more sense here than others, things don't happen for convenience or fanservice, for sure this is my fav series after Andor and Mando1-2, keep rocking and stay safe....

    I'm thoroughly convinced the writers are handed a sheet of paper with a word cloud of the dozen Star Wars related words KK knows and are told to write a script around just that. The planet was recorded as lifeless due to a hyperspace disaster? what does that even mean? Meanwhile they're sitting next to manmade ruins... Jedi now apparently practice B&E to just barge into people's places. Nightsisters apparently all of a sudden have no kids and don't train anyone? Then please Disney, explain how they even exist then? Do they even know the Nightsisters are from Dathomir and absolutely do raise families and train their young, and even have several factions? FFS! Ugh, I can't with Disney, I just can't.
