The Mist Coolant System is a way of getting coolant to your cutter machine without having the mess and the entire system involved with having a flood coolant system. These mist coolant systems tend to be very expensive, but I'm going to show you our forty-dollar solution to that.
I'll show you how to assemble it, how to install it and how it works on the machines. - Наука
I have a feeling this channel is going to 🚀📈
Thank you!
that is genius. great job
Genius! I am on my way to HF to pick up a sprayer. Thanks for the tip and take care!
That is excellent - thank you!
Glad you liked it!
Amazing!! Thank you so much!!
Glad you like it!
I love it!!!
wow that is realy nice! for my cheap cnc this will be the system i go for! thx a lot for the good idea. I was going for a vakuum ejektor but this is the next step!
Thank you! Glad it helped you
That's a very nice and simple solution. I think I might ad a solenoid valve for the air so it comes on automatically when I start the lathe's motor.
Sounds like a good idea
Awesome! I'm building one
Great to hear! Let us know how you like it.
Thanks
Very cool idea. I'm off to buy an airbrush and already ordered the coolant.
Cool, let me know what you think of it.
kewl!!!!
Nice thoughtful solution! Have you looked at any of the $15-30 eBay mist cooling systems? Wonder how this compares. Thanks again for all you do to teach all of us!
Thank you! No I have not tried any of the inexpensive units on eBay, they might be worth a try.
Could you add a couple of recommendations for coolant for a) aluminum, and b) run of the mill steels. Thanks!
Our most common universal coolant is TRIM E-206. It is a non toxic good performance coolant and does not usually cause skin irritation.
Awesome, I already have a HF air brush laying around. What size is the hose that leads from the gun to the coolant though?
The airbrush comes with a black hose. I got more of the same size in clear from Mc Master. That way you can see when the coolant is flowing properly. Be sure to put a vent hole in the coolant jug to release the vacuum.
what is the coolant liquid ? do you have any cheap solution for it :) especially for these open cnc systems (no any pool for coolant, or no any liquid cieculation system)
We primarily use TRIM E-206 non toxic but there are hundreds of coolant options. Usually you don't even need a collection system with a mist cooler unless you run it all day.
Very nice what are you using for a bottle
1 gal jugs from ULINE. They have a good selection of sizes and shapes.
Thanks so much
Curious, I have to assume you knew about the mister's that they sell. You didn't mention why you chose a air brush over a dedicated mister? Like those sold on AMZ that you can find in a search called "Coolant Lubrication Spray System", many of which are like $25 these days.
I honestly had not seen those. I originally made my own air brush mister back in about 2008 and have been using them since. Back then the only ones I could find were $400/$600 and I could not afford them. Good to see some vendors have filled that gap in the market. Let me know if you try one and you like it.
@@TigermothRacingTV I wonder if the airbrush provides a finer mist that those sold on AMZ and eBay. It seems they both require about the same pressure. The ones listed say 5-7KGF, which is in the range of what your airbrush requires. It is a great idea you had there.
What are you using for a coolant liquid
Primarily the TRIM E206. Non toxic, biodegradable.
Hii are there any differences between mist coolant and minimum quantity lubrication?
It depends on the cutting you are doing and what you like. We have been using the TRIM E206 coolant in a mist system for a very long time because it is non toxic and works well.
What kind of air supply do you use?
We have a couple California Air Tools super quiet compressors. We are just running air hoses right now, no hard lines.
Does this fill the shop with mist?
No the mist seems to be coarse enough that it settles fast. Unless you are working in a 1 car garage you probably won't notice any in the air.
@@TigermothRacingTV I have Read that other don't like Mists, Blowing cooling agent in the Air, that could be hazards.
What type of coolant are you running in it?
We use a non toxic biodegradable oil called TRIM E-206.
So on your pricing the regulator and extra hosing and coolant tank only cost $2. Pfft
