I remember seeing The Drunk Driving episode in Tiny Toons. As a kid , at that time, that episode caught me off guard, but the message definitely got through. I did not want to drink because I cared too much for my friends to get them killed if I were able to drive due to drinking. Looking back at the 90s, There was also the huge controversy over the Gargoyles episode "Deadly Force". Essentially the younger Gargoyle Broadway accidentally shoots their human cop friend Elisa while carelessly handling her service weapon, having picked it up in fascination because the media (symbolized by the western he goes to see at the beginning of the episode) has shown him "Guns are cool". Ironically the episode was, in fact, a strong message on gun safety but showed unflinching depictions of Elisa lying in a pool of her own blood and being taken into surgery with the doctors making it clear that she may not make it. The creators chose not to hammer in the point at the end with overblown monologues, and let the images speak for themselves. In fact it ended on the Gargs (secretly) visiting her in the hospital. When Broadway fesses up, she not only readily forgives him but also accepts partial responsibility for not being more careful where she left her gun. That was really the overall theme of the episode, not that guns or the people that use them are evil, but that they are dangerous weapons that need to always be treated with respect.

Yeah the beer psa being banned was absolutely moronic. That's what happens when you have conservative groups that collectively lack more than a single digit IQ point that are catered to. It's also why there's so much anti-LGBTQ+ bullshit going on by these same groups along with trying to ban books and whitewash history classes to remove all the mistakes and other bad things the USA has done in its history to non-white peoples.
David Yost was my favorite ranger. I even started to lose interest in the series after he left. Finding out about the reason he left the show (I had heard about it years ago, but not right when it happened), made my decision to stop watching a good one. My kids (now aged 33 and 30), at least got to meet JDF at a comicon about 6 years ago, which ended up being a good thing.
I loved the original Power Ranger's and even I know that your sexuality doesn't define your job or your Carrier it's part of who you are and if some people can't handle that then that's a them PROBLEM not a you PROBLEM
The irony that these things happened, after so many in "children's educational/entertainment television" denounced *_Death To Smoochy_* as "total fiction is not lost on anyone...
I remember seeing the news that my home state has decided to not air the episode of Arthur. It’s honestly kinda sad considering that it’s a wholesome episode through and through
What's funny about the Kevin Clash situation is that despite being fired from Sesame Street, he has still worked with the Jim Henson Company since then. He puppeteered several characters in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.

Surprised that the Gargoyles episode on gun safety wasn't on the list as while it's message and intentions were good the both went over everybody's heads like the Tiny Toons episode mentioned on the list.
I know exactly what you're talking about with that tiny tunes drunk driving episode...given that I watched it live....I missed out on so many drunk driving adventures because I was afraid of hurting others or myself.
John K from Ren and Stimpy should be on this, since he groomed young women! I would take Chris Savino from the loud house off this list because he was wrongfully fired similar to Louis CK who just had horrible dates, none of the stuff they done was even criminal! The Arthur controversy was overblown, and Kid Nation wasn’t really a kid show, it was a family reality show that was just a social experiment like Survivor with kids set in a desert town!
Adults constantly talk about trying to protect the children. Sometimes I wonder they're just scared kids can handle sensitive/taboo topics, making their criticisms irrelevant.
These days, you see a lot of parents who want to pass their ignorance and prejudice onto their kids, and these pesky shows preaching tolerance and inclusivity are getting in the way. The idea of treating everyone like a human being and letting them live their own lives is apparently taboo now.
@@Deadhart72 Sadly, it has always been a taboo. Pretty sickening, ain't it? I wish people would learn how to treat each other better... which I don't see happening any time soon.
Adults constantly seem to think that kids have no brain or capability of understanding themselves and the world around them and it really pisses me off. They're young, not stupid.
I feel like the Dan Schneider controversy should have been #1 considering how big of a shock his allegations of his sexual harassment which really gave his golden age shows a really sinister feeling.
Well what happened to Pee-wee Herman had nothing to do with anything. What happened to him was like arresting a person for eating fries in McDonalds. It was quite ridiculous
There are too many weirdo's in entertainment period to ever subject my children to any of them, if something happened to one of my children Heinous Crimes would be committed forget the lawless law.
That's the one Tiny Toons episode I remember the most. Was it a bit too real? Sure. It shows that there's consequences when driving intoxicated and very in tune with MADD commercials of that time. Sometimes that's the best way to get messages across because it's effective. It's clear that some have become ignorant to the facts and will only learn that lesson the hard way.
When I first heard of Dan Schneider, I was still a kid in the 90s seeing him as the manager Mr. Bailey in the Good Burger skits on All That. Thought of him as a goofball character actor following from that. Disappointing he stooped so low with his behavioral problems these days.
You know the world is going bats when they start arguing and ascribing sexual identities and adult themes to cartoon characters in kid’s shows. Each side fiercely argues they are in the right. Meanwhile, on the sidelines, I am laughing at the utter absurdity of both.
The fact the Pokemon episode caused over 700 children to have a seizure, is more then enough of a reason to get rid of the episode, though, they could have changed the lighting and flashing.
Imagine being blamed for an issue someone else caused because the Pokémon that actually caused the issue is the main character’s Pokémon, I missed Porygon in the anime
That Tiny Toons Adventure I watched when I was little. It actually made me think drinking was awful af. So... It really worked? Idk why people thought it needed to be yanked.
4:40 As if the company that made Peppa Pig were to know that. They’re from the UK, not Australia. They didn’t intend for such a controversy. It was an accident.
With Dan Schneider you mainly see it in Victorious especially in two webisodes where both Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande were asked to do weird stuff like when Victoria had a bottle of ketchup dumped on her feet or when Ariana Grande had to put her foot in mouth and he only made the female stars of his show do feet stuff and hardly ever had his male stars do that stuff which makes it more sick when you think about it. The two who were impacted the most by his actions were Amanda Bynes and Jennette McCurdy and while Jennette has made a recovery after she quit acting and has become a bestselling author, Amanda Bynes is still dealing with some of the effects after her experience with Dan which basically broke her but I really hope she gets better soon.
I've seen censored dance in America. I didn't know that episode was controversial. Also, I'm familiar with the Peer Pressure & Drunk Driving, scary spiders, LGBTQ content, war & conflict, and flashing images causing mass mania. Some of these were banned episodes. I've also seen that iCarly episode when I was little, but in German. I was in Europe. I loved what the girls were doing. I had no idea that one of them had harrowing experiences with someone. By the way, I liked her bangs!
I see nothing wrong with Katy Perry’s dress. I’ve heard stories of mothers wearing very revealing costumes at children’s Halloween parties. This dress is not the worst she could have worn
With the Muppets now under the wing of Disney. I grew up watching the old fashioned Muppets from when Jim Henson voiced Kermit the frog. But with the modern day Muppets it has been going a little to far.
Child actors, whether voice or not, deserve protection on set. And while I can admire some cartoons for trying to take on tough topics, there are just some you shouldn't touch if your rating is Y7... But I do support normalizing education of safe love for all.
I will say some of these are just people upset about dark subject matter, but with the tiny toons, mr Rogers, anything else that was a PSA they aren’t supposed to make you feel good. The whole point of those episodes was to make people think, it allows kids to learn about important things. Why is it bad to drink mommy/daddy’s beer? What is war? They are things that are important for kids to learn. Sometimes it’s scary but war isn’t warm and fuzzy, underage drinking isn’t warm and fuzzy. I think Mr Rogers handled it very well even saying to watch it with someone you trust. Tiny Toons was a bit much but even still it’s still important.
It would also be nice hearing Steve's correct Kermit voice again. I've been seeing a lot about how things are not working out with Matt Vogel's voice. I really think it’s up to the fans to make things right. I signed a few petitions online to have Steve return to the Muppet Studio. I really think we should help the guy out. He knows how Kermit sounds and how he really acts. He was truly faithful to Jim Henson's most famous character. What do ya say everyone? Shall we start something? Let’s help out. #BringBackSteveWhitmire
5:28. Australia Toursim Board: our terrifying spiders aren’t so bad! Australia when a cartoon tries to relive the stigma of scary spiders: Spiders are dangerous killers!
When I was a kid I wasn't afraid of spiders till I got older. I was a toddler playing with a black widow when my mom saw she ripped me up from off the ground and squashed it. Didn't realize how dangerous they were till I was older.
The Dan Schneider era of shows were so great to watch basically made my childhood but now knowing who he was and how he acted, things like kat dancing like that and feet being shown alot, it ages very differently
One possibly missed moment is that many pre-school programs reference or get inspiration from actual dead children in some capacity. Examples from Peppa Pig, Teletubbies and Cocomelon are known and in you believe in fan theories this could apply to Paw Patrol. Some unique Australian cases are Play School showing a girl with two moms (2004), Play School using blackface to show native Australians in the 1960's, a 'news program for kids' programs being banned briefly for inaccurate and biased news over Palestine and Israel war coverage (2006).

Huh, that’s why Leo’s voice actor sounded different. Honestly, I barely noticed the change, hats off
One of Tiny Toons Funniest & Darkest Episodes. But the whole point was to learn the dangers of drinking.
It was great to see Billy (and Yost) return in Once and Always.
Yep
At least that got redeemed
He and the rest of the cast did an amazing job.
I met David Yost at a comic con back in 2022 and he was super cool. It sucks he was treated like that back in the 90’s.
I loved the original Power Ranger's and even I know that your sexuality doesn't define your job or your Carrier it's part of who you are and if some people can't handle that then that's a them PROBLEM not a you PROBLEM
I'm glad he was willing to return for the Once and Always reunion special and is also going to be in the newest season, Cosmic Fury, in a mentor role
He was my sons favorite too.

Glad that 5 British Kids shows got onto the list
What's funny about the Kevin Clash situation is that despite being fired from Sesame Street, he has still worked with the Jim Henson Company since then. He puppeteered several characters in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
16:52 THANK YOU. You have NO IDEA idea how many times I've been assaulted with that scene. I literally had my eyes closed this whole entry because as someone with chronic seizures, that would be super dangerous for me.f
Some people play it in slo-mo which I can handle but some RUclipsrs lately gave NO WARNING and I had to throw my phone to the ground (200 dollars to repair a phone screen beats 2,000 dollars to visit the emergency room...)
My ex didn't want her children to watch Teletubbies, not because one of the characters was supposedly gay or whatever but because the show dumbed down children . A nephew of hers watched the show and reverted to baby talk. It was a horrible show.
Imagine being a tv executive and brainstorming: we got the tv-market cornered where young teens and kids are concerned.
Who else could we possibly get hooked on our programming?
BABIES
Sure you babies will LOVE television
Yeahhh, it wasn't the shows fault the child "reverted to baby talk"...... that falls on the parents.
@@captainspaulding5963 it is if they're influencing kids to revert back to baby talk. That is indeed directly the show's fault.
There's a reason why the techies who have kids don't let their kids have iPads.
You should do a deep dive into Nickelodeon and Dan Schneider and what’s been done. A deep dive.
Nickelodeon is just full of creeps. I mean we got Dan Schneider, John Kricfalusi, Chris Savino, Drake Bell, Brian Peck. Hell, there was even a guy that was on To Catch a Predator.
Dan Schneider was also rumored to have a foot fetish, which is why in most of his shows the cast show their feet. Damn, creep.
What is wrong with having a foot fetish? Does it affect you personally? 🤔
@@joenarbaiz1640 When he projects it onto kids in his shows, then yes I find it to be a problem. 😒
@@phantomrequim I asked you if it affects YOU personally, not anyone else.
Sounds like a personal problem.
Your elevator clearly does not go to the top floor. 😒
The cast deciding to show their feet may have been their decision. You cannot logically assume that Dan told them to do so.
😆🤣😂😹
@@joenarbaiz1640 Again, I don't care if he has a foot fetish, but don't project that fantasy onto kids in the shows you create and some of the cast members themselves mentioned it was weird. Which means that yes, Dan told them to do so. Do you need me to explain it in another way for you to understand?
@@phantomrequim Since when is having a foot fetish a fantasy? A fantasy is something that will never happen. Clearly that isn't the case.
The cast may have thought it was weird but they did it anyway. So they were in agreement.
I don't need any explanation from someone who doesn't know what a fantasy entails.
Have a good one. 👍
Adios.
😆🤣😂😹
Love your lists!😊😊
I remember the Tiny Toons episode. I just remember getting the message; not being traumatized.
I'm sorry but "Prejudice against Tinky Winky" is just an objectively funny sentence.
IKR? 🤣
I strongly wish to disagree with you, but I cannot. It gave me an immature giggle.
Do you mean objectively?? If so I'm with ya 😂
Surprised that the Gargoyles episode on gun safety wasn't on the list as while it's message and intentions were good the both went over everybody's heads like the Tiny Toons episode mentioned on the list.
Dan "If your age is on the clock then off comes the sock" Schneider needs to be jailed.
I feel the UK is slowly having its television censored quite a lot, it really bad when kids shows are getting scenes cut.
Ahh, I remember when the worst thing that was on TV was a male figure holding a purse… 🙄
I know exactly what you're talking about with that tiny tunes drunk driving episode...given that I watched it live....I missed out on so many drunk driving adventures because I was afraid of hurting others or myself.
I hope Yost was treated better in Once and Always
@@alim.9801 Nothing new-when _Monopoly_ came out a century ago people thought it was too hard for kids to play, but they were wrong.
I feel like the Dan Schneider controversy should have been #1 considering how big of a shock his allegations of his sexual harassment which really gave his golden age shows a really sinister feeling.
I've never seen Ren & Stimpy but I am aware of the creator's actions making it a kid's show with too much adult content
I've never seen "Ren & Stimpy" either.
If they make a part 2 of this, maybe they can include the Pee Wee Herman incident which led to his Saturday morning show to be cancelled.
He also played a drug dealer in _Blow._
Well what happened to Pee-wee Herman had nothing to do with anything. What happened to him was like arresting a person for eating fries in McDonalds. It was quite ridiculous
This is why if i ever got my kid into entertainment they would never leave my sight 😅 too many weirdos around that area
Steve Whitmire also did he voice of Wembly Fraggle. I got to meet him a few years ago. I'm 41 and still watch Fraggle Rock.
I'm 27 and I also still watch Fraggle Rock.
When I first heard of Dan Schneider, I was still a kid in the 90s seeing him as the manager Mr. Bailey in the Good Burger skits on All That. Thought of him as a goofball character actor following from that. Disappointing he stooped so low with his behavioral problems these days.
I was shocked learning what a creep he is
The Peppa Pig one is the one regional kids' show ban that i can actually agree on
You know the world is going bats when they start arguing and ascribing sexual identities and adult themes to cartoon characters in kid’s shows. Each side fiercely argues they are in the right. Meanwhile, on the sidelines, I am laughing at the utter absurdity of both.
I'm not mad because of that episode of Tiny Toons, some lessons should be delivered to children the direct way.
When you realize the teletubies live in a nuclear fallout shelter
With that thought, I just started thinking that the sparkles around the magic windmill are radioactivity.
Bruh the fireman Sam one made me realize that people overreact over the smallest of misinterpretations
I always had a feeling about Schneider especially that creepy smile of his
The way he kept the camera on Ariana Grande in that scene was really creepy.
13:25 I dunno what’s worse, the animation mistake or the fact that Elvis slips on a piece of paper!
Awesome video watch mojo of scandals moments in shocking kids tv show in television history ever, amazing job like a fantastic beast 😊👏🤛.
Dan Schneider has become Nickelodeon’s Harvey Weinstein
I see nothing wrong with Katy Perry’s dress. I’ve heard stories of mothers wearing very revealing costumes at children’s Halloween parties. This dress is not the worst she could have worn
I still vividly remember the Spongebob panty raid episode, but god forbid he have a ‘gay aesthetic.’ 😂
Honestly that Peppa Pig Controversy is pretty understandable given...Australia
With the Muppets now under the wing of Disney. I grew up watching the old fashioned Muppets from when Jim Henson voiced Kermit the frog. But with the modern day Muppets it has been going a little to far.
1:20 The episode was never banned.

Child actors, whether voice or not, deserve protection on set.
And while I can admire some cartoons for trying to take on tough topics, there are just some you shouldn't touch if your rating is Y7... But I do support normalizing education of safe love for all.
It's crazy to me that the "fans" of these children cartoons who were outraged are grown ass adults
If you call that a bit much, try watching _Animals of Farthing Wood._ It is very dark for a kids show.
I'm surprised Fallwell didn't say a similar thing about Felix the Cat and his Magic Bag like he did with Tinky Winky.
Trying to cancel tinkywinky for being gay has to be the funniest thing to happen in television history 😂😂
Scheneider needs to be in jail, holy shit.
5:28. Australia Toursim Board: our terrifying spiders aren’t so bad! Australia when a cartoon tries to relive the stigma of scary spiders:
Spiders are dangerous killers!
Jason Biggs will always be known as Jim. The guy to is obsessed with getting laid and heading up a “Warm Apple Pie”
Right like if they're worried about image why would they cast him?? Also kids aren't on Twitter anyway??
Thank For The Video 🙊🤯🥰💕😍👍

"The Magic School Bus" (1994-1997)
That puts taking chances, making mistakes and getting messy into a whole new context.
When I was a kid I wasn't afraid of spiders till I got older. I was a toddler playing with a black widow when my mom saw she ripped me up from off the ground and squashed it. Didn't realize how dangerous they were till I was older.
EW ITS DAN SCHNEIDER!! 🤢 🤮

The Dan Schneider era of shows were so great to watch basically made my childhood but now knowing who he was and how he acted, things like kat dancing like that and feet being shown alot, it ages very differently
Americans: “we have to do something to stop this!”
Also Americans: “no that’s too real for kids so band the episode”
One possibly missed moment is that many pre-school programs reference or get inspiration from actual dead children in some capacity. Examples from Peppa Pig, Teletubbies and Cocomelon are known and in you believe in fan theories this could apply to Paw Patrol. Some unique Australian cases are Play School showing a girl with two moms (2004), Play School using blackface to show native Australians in the 1960's, a 'news program for kids' programs being banned briefly for inaccurate and biased news over Palestine and Israel war coverage (2006).
The dui episode is needed. I've lost a few people to this. People soft as hell. It was a psa message lol
America: spiders are harmless
Australia: the hell they are mate!
At first I was like what's wrong with the spider episode?? Then the minute Australia was mentioned it made sense 😂
