It’s a seppo thing. Seppos focus their identity around being a descendant of some well known historical figure. They take a DNA test or look into their genealogy in order to feel special and a sense of belonging to a group/culture/status. The amount of times I hear a seppo claim that they’re a descendant to some European royal family or that their great great great great great great X100 great grandfather was 1/3 Irish so that makes them more Irish than an actual person born and raised in Ireland, is a lot. People outside of the US dgaf about who we are descended from or what our DNA percentages are.

He founded Fortinet, which is a tech company in Silicon Valley. Anna's father is a real life Tony Stark. He was a defense contractor for the U.S. military developing classified weapons.
As someone who is only several years younger than Kevin and also from Philly he definitely wasn’t the only Asian in Philly. The fact that he called it Philadelphia says he was a suburban kid that traveled to Philly on the weekends. Lol.

I loved Ana so sweet and kind. Kristine was over the top for nothing . I actually enjoy the show. Most of the cast has touching background stories when they let us in you see abit into who they are beyond the glitz.
I love how Christine says poor me, she couldn’t reveal the truth to her family and friends about her baby’s birth then shames her husband as being the infertile one in front of the whole world!
Christine is simply being true. It’s normal for couples going through this kind of problem but saying all this doesnt make her look like she humiliated his husband.

From the wholesome sitcom era of the 90s ala Under One Roof and Phua Chu Kang..... to Singapore Social and.... whatever the heck this show is.... How times have changed indeed.... and the one thing that really gets to me is how Netflix thinks that copying the American style of reality storytelling, down to the bizarre characters and the out of this world situations they get into, is going to appeal to regular Singaporeans....

I just can't believe how much TV shows have changed.... From the wholesome sitcom era of the 90s ala Under One Roof and Phua Chu Kang..... to Singapore Social and.... whatever the heck this show is.... How times have changed indeed.... and the one thing that really gets to me is how Netflix thinks that copying the American style of reality storytelling, down to the bizarre characters and the out of this world situations they get into, is going to appeal to regular Singaporeans....
I can always count on yeolo to watch what I can't watch cos of uni, thank you for summarising all these shows that aren't exactly beneficial AHHAHAHHA
