Knowing the person we're goign to marry but with the accompany of third person to avoid any Haram activities. Also in this case the guys in the girl's family play crucial roles in investigating the guy she's marrying. Then proceed to engagement, same as taaruf but marriage in mind. Some skip this engagement part but it's all to make sure there's no unnecessary hurts between two parties.
