OMG so cute! It is the little things that kids enjoy. I'm a parent also, and a lot of the time my kid says "can I snuggle with you when I get home from school? Can we watch a video together?" It's so simple and adorable! Makes my heart warm.

@@dreamchasingcat thank you! My 8 yr old can be a sassy brat, but I really treasure these times where she uses me as her human security blanket. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy, ya know? Reminds me that these moments may not last into the future as often as she gets older..but I hope she takes after me in the aspect that I still like to hug and cuddle with MY own 46 yr old mama! Total besties, and in this fast paced world, we need to take time to reconnect with each other some days. Same for fathers as well. I still give him hugs and see if I can help him with anything. Do things that seem mundane, like a trip to the grocery store together. My kid whines that she is tired, but then ends up finding something cool and has to show it to her Grandpa. It's fun to just talk with each other and have that chill time with a parent/grandparent, or whoever is important to you.

That's a good point. :) Riku doesn't want his mom to be perfect, he just wants to be there with her when they can be together, given he knows she's busy with work at times too, so that's why he was happy when they spent a sick day together like he did. It's just the thing I love about these Marukome commercials; just the warm feeling you get from them, and the sense of family, and how food brings us together.

I just love the polar opposite in this commercial with how Riku's mom was worried she wasn't living up to how she could be as a single mom, while Riku was just happy to be able to spend some time with her, even if they were sick, and how she was moved by what Riku had said in his report, and how he doesn't want her to be perfect, he just wants her to be there and for him to be with her.

It really is amazing. As we grow older, we've learn to take things serious with the stress society that sometimes we lose our innocence. We have to get a job, money, and a stable life, comes to the point where we also forget simple happiness. It's great to have young generations remind us to take things easy and to find joy in every moment.

@@Passions5555 it's because a woman (who is single) with a child, if she is working she would be seen as someone who will miss the work many times and takes free paydays to taking care of her child if the child is sick or anything similar. Even tho the law and such say that people can take free paydays it's not really seen as good and seen as slacking of or putting the company down. Of course the stigma about it happens more in salarymen/salarywomen career or in manufacturing works. In places like cafe, restaurants, little shop or crafts works it's not really that way.
A young man in the government in Japan has recently took free paydays to take care of child and such, and also he do that to make people more willing to take paydays and making it less stigmatized.
I'm sorry for my English I'm not sure if it's paydays, but those paid days are things use to take some days of hiatus or to take care of child for a moment then go back to work after.

I can relate since my mother is single, divorced. Struggling real hard in order to survive. Rarely takes vacation or sickly days off unless it's important business. I'm doing all I can to help pay for those bills too. Now that I graduated and all. Working full time at my mother's company. In a hire position than her but so much responsibilities. I'll manage to get better.
life just sucks and can be very cruel sometimes. Even the stress from work can follow you back to your home and makes you depress, can't eat dinner and stay in long showers reflecting what you can do to do better tomorrow.

父だったらシングルファーザーやろ、でまあ、離婚率が低くて子供が沢山おる賑やかであたたかい社会が理想的かな。
無思慮な欧米の理想化と追従が今の社会の歪みを作ったと思う。労働時間が長いままなのに男女参画を進めるからこうなる。そのうち移民政策でも同じようなことが起こるだろうな。

その部分もあるが逆に、長時間労働でもOKな労働者は意外に沢山いるんですよ。
今は月に何時間以上残業しては駄目と言う事になってるが。
世の中には基本給なんて安い所で働いてる労働者なんて沢山いるわけで、そういう人にとっては残業代がナンボみたいな感じなんですよ。
それを一律に残業時間を規制したのはおかしいのですよ。
また、そういう残業が悪みたいな洗脳をメディアがしてきたお陰で国民の意識にも、残業は悪い事という認識に変化してきた。
だがしかし、どこの層のデーターか分らんないが今じゃ１日の仕事時間は日本と外国を比べて日本はイタリア並みｗの労働時間なんですよ。
ちなみにイタリアは昼飯２時間ｗ？とか若い人なんて無職が当たり前という国です。
韓国より労働時間が短い国に成り下がりました。
まあ、公務員の特に役所なんて残業無いようにした方がいいでしょうが。
ニュースやテレビは過労死とか酷い一部の残業を取り上げてきましたが。
それは一部であり、普通にもっと残業したい＝手取りが欲しいという人は凄い多いです。
