Sorry Bob. I have to disagree. The cambera entered service in the late 40's. So they faced similar aa as is in game now. SAMs didn't enter service until the mid 50's. The jets are just a gimmick, I would rather face the eagle over fdr. WG definitely needs to balance AA still, but not because of Eagle. Great video. Fair weather and good hunting.
Good point mate, thanks for correcting me. But I still stand by my opinion that this is just another bad step towards more unbalanced gameplay. We need better air defenses.
The bright side in this is that the planes and the ship are squishy. But despite there being only two jet planes the Maltas were already pain in the ass and then just add jets to that
Also what is funny is how germans were the first to use jet planes, yes they decided to give them to a british carrier instead.
It would be interesting to see how the Eagle fare against Ragnar.

We’re not going into the jet age. They’re a gimmick that was given to Eagle because she’s a super ship from WoWS PC. USS United States is similar but she has A-2 Savages instead of actual jets. The A-2 Savage is a medium twin engine prop bomber with a single jet engine in the fuselage.
You never know with WG mate. I believe we will see more and more "gimmicks" like jets being added before they add anything to counter them
The Anti air defense was mainly gun base till about mid 60's.missile defense or point defense systems where not main air defense till late sixties and early seventies. If you Buff AA good u can defend against the early jets with really few issues.
Yeah I realize my history was off, I should have researched. But my point is just, that we need to update the AA to have newer stuff. New stuff would be great, but WG don't seem to want to add in comparable AA defense

Yeah I joked on Slais vid that now we needed Missouri '89 to counter it...😂 Glad to hear its not that bad!! I just hope this isnt a trend where more post-WWII ships keep appearing. If ppl or WG wants that, then please...launch "WOWSB-The Missile Age", or whatever... I came here for the historical cool factor, stayed for the fun. So please dont ruin it!!

Personally, I would get it. It looks fun especially with that tactical squadron but I know a few certain people who hate this being added, personally, this game has to go somewhere farther than just ww2, especially if they want to keep adding ships to the game.
Totally agree, but it doesn't look like AA is part of the evolution of WG game. They completely neglect AA and that's my biggest concern

Fdr is better for farming i think. Need to see what ithers think
AP carpet bombs, already bad for cycling DoT on BBs or anything that has enough armour.
Standard torp bombers are pretty okay.
Fighters are decent.
The jet planes, while giga fast and obnoxious to deal with, have long prep time, small group size, and low torp alpha.
TL;DR: A nice CV if you really hate DDs, but pretty meh against anything else.

At this point, I really don't know what's on the devs' minds. Why do they keep releasing new great CVs when the plane control mechanics is straight down a dumbdown point-and-click one? Oh, and we don't even talk about the trash AAs. What are they chasing for, profits? Revenues? These shizz only cater to the most cancerous part of the playerbase.
Well at least not as toxic as fdr.

They continue to release OP CV despite the community Is claiming to nerf them. They deserve less players, less players buying their things and lastly but not least close the game.
