Man! I have a old home 1903 I added 10' of blown in on top of the 5'' I had and that helped a lot! Then added 6 vents and two turbans again a improvement. Then few weeks later I bought this and for two early mornings I laid this on top and dang man what a difference! I've kept up by watching my smart stats Dailey usage during the triple digit days we've had here in TX. Now in the days my AC runs 5 minutes and off 18 it was the opposite. Of all 3 things I did the foil was probable responsible for 20% but! it was also 1/5 the cost of the blown in because I paid to have that done. Now I'm about to order one more roll and my AC supply is in attic I'm going to create some kind of air gap around plenum and wrap it creating two layers the plenum itself and the attic foil. I also ran cord over/above my main supply duct and draped the attic foil over like a tee pee over it. Im doing everything I can to take my part away from Oncor's 29 million in last qtr profits!

    Awesome performance, beautiful job.
Question: have ya'll ever seen tents made with radiant barrier attached to or part of the roof cloth? I've stepped under tents in South central Tx. & still felt the heat radiating down, though the light was obviously stopped. Yeah, Radiant Barrier Tents for the win!

Yes, not all "Shade" is created equal. There is a huge difference being under a metal overhang compared to a tree or a piece of www.RoofingFoil.com We have had many customers use our products to make tents for Burning Man in the desert every year.

Yes, www.AtticFoil.com is for radiant heat and normal insulation is for conductive heat. They work together for maximum thermal benefit.

so I can skip the felt paper and just use attic foil as my underlayment? and it looks like most people are just nailing it, no tape?

They go from a beautiful blue tile to something that looks more like an asphalt shingle? Jeeeeez... Oh well, at least the battens/foil looks great!
