VW Touareg Transmission oil/filter/gasket change 2011-2017

I hope this video can help anyone wanting do this themselves
It's not too hard and is a very important part of the car 👌
Bits needed
T25
10mm socket for almost everything
Fluid Pump its not a necessity but it will make it sooo much easier

hardcore, so no need for lift? going to try it this way, hate using jacks.. is the oil temp heating up really important??...? its seems like over kill, read that 7 1\2 liters should be about level. thanks a bunch!

Yer no need for a jack but it would make it easier
I think it's good to have the right temps if you want the exact correct amounts
I definitely recommend using a pump aswel

I have a Touareg with 160k miles on it. I have no idea how well it was serviced over the years… I want to change the fluid but I am scared because I’ve heard horror stories about transmissions with high mileage going bad after a fluid change… any advice or input?

Mine has been fine after the change and the scratches on the oil pan shows that I'm probs not the first to do it
In most cars there not sealed for life
And Usally when they say that
They mean until the warranty is up
It's got a filter that you can buy a replacement
I definitely feel better knowing it's got a clean filterand new oil after all those years

When its The time to be changed? I mean at What mileage its best for that?

I remember reading something like every 80000 or something is recommended but depends hot you drive it or what your towing with it 👌

I think I used the vw oil from vw 🤔
And its been going fine no issues at all and still towing my 3.5t caravan full time
