After removing the two bolts from the filter bracket (with extensions through the wheel well) remove the fuel lines from both ends from under the hood. Pull filter, bracket, and fuel lines out together. Replace filter on bracket and reinstall.
I think the 3.4 you could put extension in between the intake and remove bolts. mine only had one bolt for fuel filter. Next time i will do it the way you said because putting banjo bolt was almost impossible, I now know to remove the line from the rail and the bottom, and it would have been much easier. thanks.

@@econocarr extensions will reach the filter bracket bolt(s) through the wheel well on the 2.7L 3RZ-FE.
