"If you had to reset from scratch every time, I don't think you'd ever finish." It's probably been recommended already, but Gamechamp3000's no damage run of Pokemon Blue attempts exactly this.
10:40 He doesnt need to know the IVs/EVs. He only needs to know the special attack stat. And trainer pokemon habe fixed stats, so calculating this is easy.
Why do so many Poketubers not understand the words "This attack doesn't miss in hail"? The words lay it out rather clearly, In hail, blizzard doesn't miss. In rain thunder and hurricane never miss.
@@invividcolor The idea is that you obtain every possible pokemon including their evolutions before each gym. Other key rules are only 1 copy of the game is used (ie trade evos like machamp are not required unless available via encounter or ingame trades, no online trades, etc.) There is a subreddit with rules and guides it is r/ProfessorOak. There are videos by Johnstone on YT for many of these challenges.
I believe that when he said he could barely oneshot the pokemon in the first gym, he meant with a low roll without EVs. it is also technically possible that he kept track of EVs
One of my favorite challenges I did was a Wedlocke in Ultra Sun, and it was incredible. It was also pretty challenging because I couldn’t box anything unless something died to open a slot, and if one part of a pair died, you had to have the partner avenge it, typing be damned. (I just started watching your videos, so I’m not sure of you’ve done a wedlocke, they’re fun!) I failed at the Elite 4, right at the end, but it was so much fun and really gave me a better appreciation for some Pokémon I didn’t use in my casual plays, which is honestly half the fun of challenge runs for me.
Trainerlock, it's something i came up with because I hate grinding, the only way to gain exp is by trainer battles BUT it's also a nuzlocke... I did it in Pokémon X and defeated the 4th gym before losing, I don't even know if it's possible to complete but it were the most fun I have had in a Pokémon game
It did hurt seeing him ohk the shiny Buizel but if you think about how freaking long he had been grinding and he has no pokeball with 100% catch rate(of course), he'd risk the shiny breaking out of the ball, he'd take dmg and wouldn't even get the Buizel cuz he'd have to reset
Another great video to react to is Alpharad's Can you beat Pokemon Emerald with only a Mudkip? Cause unlike most other single poke challenges he tries to beat it without catching any pokes for hm's either
I'm a little late to answer this question, but the monolocke that I'm currently attempting is the hardest by far because I had my friends choose my mono type and they decided ice 😭
(bad english sorry) my personal opinion for your vertical webcam i think it's weird for me my eyes already used to horizontal webcam basically everywhere and seeing ur webcam vertical is kinda weird but.. its okay if u wanna keep it that way to make your channel more unique. But maybe for reaction video like this its maybe better to use vertical to not use too much screen
I say Byron is memorable in the anime because of how bombastic he portrayed to be. "I LOVE BASTIODON!!!" Probably his most famous quote to me. Another forgettable gym leader in the games made memorable in the anime is, to me, Clay. Not a lot is interesting about him. That said, he is the one character to call Ash out on using cheap strats, which is hilarious.
I have tried Nuzlockes more than once, but i always gave up after the first gym, not because it is difficult, but because I get bored XD I always do challenges like trying to win all the contests one after another in a row (?
@@invividcolor I usually play with lives, if a gym leader or any trainer sweeps my entire team I lose one (? I have never been the strategist or cautious type so Nuzlocke are not my style XD
Hey there! In Vivid if I could recommend a video to react to. I’d recommend can you beat Pokemon Platinum with level 1 Pokemon's? By Pokemon Challenges, he's the best nuzlocker and things of everything possible. P.S. I’m about to cop that Among Us shirt P.P.S. Finally got to 500 encounters with Regieleki I can finally start running away.
Before you attempt your crystal run, I would recommended watching the original not getting hit/no damage run. Has a lot of interesting strategies that may be applicable to crystal. ruclips.net/video/4ylEp-uu3EU/видео.html
Y’all think I can beat Crystal without taking damage?
I would love to see it
no
did you ever manage? if not how far did you get?
Needs to happen someday
You absolute madman for trying a crystal no damage run. This is going to test your patience to the max
I'm hoping!
@@invividcolor well you do get overpowered x accuracy in that gen

Glad you are witnessing SmallAnts gigantamax brain
Hecka maxed
That moment when you realize Ant did the 69+1 like when you did trying to shiny hunt regileki
Haha! I noticed that! Someone in the chat suggested I do it and now I think they got it here!
@@invividcolor Switch just came in so gimme bout a week or half one and lets shiny hunt 😂
You: I wanna do this.
Smallant after doing this and blue version no damage: "Do I recommend this challenge? No."
The Professor Oak Challenge isn't hard per say but it is a long and awesome challenge for anyone who wants to try it.
What is it? I'm not familiar

so that piplup vs turtwig thing is around 1/25000, which is actually around the same odds of winning with chimchar if you get a crit.

Byron is the most forgettable gym leader? Half of the Kalos gym leaders would like a word

I failed a HeartGold Nuzlocke by running out of pokemon that could use surf and encounters.
I tried beating UM with a Slugma. No Items in battle and I was crying by the end it is sad how bad slugma is
This sounds. . . like torture
Pokémon black Nuzlocke with level cap of the highest lvl Pokémon in each gym leader is the most short challenge in my existence.
sounds tough!
If I did a challenge like this, I'd do damage calculations at me having 0 EVs and 0 IVs just to be on the safe side.
