    I bought the S50, my only scope in Jan 2024. I'm an old guy with now stability/mobility issues so I can definately relate to the problems associated with trying to look at anything through an eye piece. It's light enough to carry and set up on my deck then back to my recliner. Three nights ago the weather was so perfect I captured for 8 hours straight and watched the sun come up. It's fun sharing what I capture with family and friends. I've captured well over 100 deep space images and still enjoying. Still working on post processing, but getting there.

      I had a Dwarf 2 before the Seestar as post processing was not my forte ,This has the ability to adjust after imaging via the app , and I am getting a lot better instant results than the not so impressive images from the dwarf post processing

We miss you over there on that page, but after watching this video, I understand why the absence. Thank you for letting us into your world for a minute or 13.

    That's really cool. I started with a cheap telescope from a dumpster. I do planets and the moon mostly. Lol I have 14 telescopes and over 30 eyepieces now. Oh I have to sit in a chair to observe.

    Watching this video today and started wondering how long I've been following your exploits and the first one I remember is when you were in Porto, Portugal about 7 years ago - quite a coinsidence it being "Seven"....lol. Back then I found your site because I was looking for Videos of Porto because I've been there many times as my wife is from there and we used to vistit a lot - Lovely place, people and food!!! And back when I started visiting Porto back in oh, 2003, it was SO cheap! Now not so much! But still a great place....
    Anyway "7", thanks for seven years! You've come a long way since then.... Happy travels... Ciao.

    Pretty cool Seven. It's like having a WebbHubble in your pocket!
    Try it sometime on top of the mountain above the tunnel to Bisbee. That will get you a quick couple thousand feet in elevation.

    Leveling the Seestar as best as possible is crucial for accurate auto-search and good tracking. Your mistake was not doing it.

    I lost track of you! I believe you were in Florida dealing with property issues, and you had your step van for traveling / camping. Could you direct us to any video(s) regarding what happened to the step van, whether or not you sold the Florida properties, how you came to settle in Arizona, etc. Thanks!

    • @SevenWanderstheWorld
      @SevenWanderstheWorld  4 месяца назад +2

      D2 and s50 are close competitors. I could have kept either one. I chose to keep the s50 for two reasons. first, my new astro rig has a 350mm focal length which was similar to the D2 whereas the s50 has about 600mm focal length. so keeping the s50 meant I had one scope for smaller targets and one for bigger. second reason is the glass optics on the s50 are a bit better than the D2

      @@SevenWanderstheWorld Thanks for the response, that sure makes sense. I just noticed that the D3 is coming out in Aug, I am going to figure out then which way I will go (the d3 or the s50). It is a hobby I think I also will enjoy. Thanks so much for sharing and keep those pictures coming our way.

    Seven how far can you zoom in on things?

    • @SevenWanderstheWorld
      @SevenWanderstheWorld  4 месяца назад

      there is no "zoom" function on a telescope (unlike a camera). basically I see images about the size of the moon in the sky (aprox 600mm focal length). my other telescope is a wider view about double in size. I'm hoping to buy a 3rd telescope in November for small objects with 1000mm focal length
