I have a 2008 9-3 Turbo X that was in a low speed accident. I, the driver was the only person in the car. Only the driver airbag deployed. I'm buying a new driver airbag and planning on having the airbag control module reset. I removed it using your awesome videos. My question is regarding the driver seat belt tensioner. It seems like the driver seat belt works just fine after the accident and I don't think I should replace it but some of my Saab friends think I will have to. Do you know if it's possible that I won't have to replace the driver seatbelt? I plan to search with Tech 2 to see if I can confirm which parts of airbag system deployed. I am hoping it is only the driver airbag. Thanks!
The airbag can deploy by accident, if you do not disconnect the car battery. Removing airbag components, it can trigger faults in the system. SRS light will stay on. You need scan tool to read and reset the light.

I used my Tech 2 to see that the driver seatbelt pretensioner did fire. I am going to have it rebuilt. Thanks again for the great videos!

Is it correct to say that disconnecting the battery is the safety for the Airbag. Do you need a Tech2 to reconnect these items
