Thanks so much for watching everyone! Reckon we may need to invest in some more waterproofs, for ourselves... and the van 🤣🤣 Would you have headed out in the rain like us? Or have a cozy day in the van instead?
I LOVE your excursions! and your willingness and gratefulness enjoying the beauty of the world even in the rain. Yes, I would be out there with you... its not like we are made of sugar and will melt by the rain! 😁 There are definite trade-offs when traveling "off" season.. weather and closed shops.. but yay for no crowds!!! I SO wish Martha wasn't leaking so much tho 😞.
Thanks so much Kathi!! Trade offs that's a good way to look at it!! We also wish she wasn't leaking so much 🤣 a couple floods since this, but hopeful we have remedied it. We will see in next big rain storm
Thank you for showing us all these lovely historic places . Never realized you could run so fast. Hope you get the leak fixed. Hope to meet you in Spain.
Hi guys just found you after watching Overlanding Sophia and have now subscribed to you as well. Like your content and your light hearted look at vanlife and travelling. We have a small camper ourselves which we have owed for the last 3 years and get out as much as possible. Got loads of trips booked for this year both in the UK and Europe so hopefully see you at some point. Keep up the good work.
@@phillyandkeely Holland, Belgium and Germany will be our first European trip, we want to do Spain but feel we need at least a month out there to do it justice so will probably try that next year. Strangely we’ve done more trips than ever since Covid / restrictions hit us, we are lucky that I’m self employed and my wife works 3 days a week for the NHS so with careful planning we can get away every month for at least 5-7 days, without her actually taking any holiday from work.
@@johnbond2637 that's awesome that you can schedule in those little breaks regularly. Totally agree Spain needs a good wack of time. Three months there and we feel like we barely scraped the surface. Holland Belgium and Germany sound awesome!! Havent don't any of them in the van yet, so will have to take some inspiration from you!!
Nice Van!! I love the layout. The heavy rain will id wear you need to caulk. Sometimes it not easy to find. Also, You find out the quality of your raingear when its like that. Same with your footwear.
Thanks so much Craig 🥰🥰 yeah we think we need to add a little more sealent/caulk around the door in places. I've certainly realised my yellow coat is not even remotely water proof 🤣🤣 luckily we both have good shoes, nothing worse than a soggy foot!!
Find a decathlon and get a wee waterproof coat that folds into its pocket. we use them all the time in the mournes. they are great. kepe the wind and rain off, cost nothign and are small. PS Loved the video as usual
Yeah it seems so, according to locals it is worse than usual this year, it seems to be very extreme colds aswell in other areas of Turkey too. Still incredibly beautiful even in this weather, and happy to be able to give a little bit of trade to cafés that don't get a lot at this time of year.
@@phillyandkeely Hopefully I will be in Turkey for next Spring. I'm building a camper for my 9 year old son. So we can travel around Europe and further. Home schooling (van schooling) as we go. He's autistic and struggles in a noisy/busy school environment but he learns incredibly quickly when it's quiet and there is no busy distractions. Most kids get to do one school trip to a local museum or historical site. Rush around for a couple of hours and back on the bus. I will be able to show him real history and culture and see new places every week.
Absolutely love that!!! Your son is so lucky that you will be able to grow up and learn in this way. Spring will be such a beautiful time of year to experience Turkey, this place is magical!
Thanks so much Ian 🥰🥰 We usually just throw wet clothes on the dash, but last month we levelled up and added a little washing line across the two handles in cab area, so now it's permenantly filled with damp tea towels & clothes 🤣🤣
Love this! good on you guys for getting out and about in the rain! I'd be hiding in the rain haha :) Sad to see that you have a leak, hope its sorted soon xx
Thanks my love!! We are so excited to have some soggy days in the rain (or in the van) with you guys soon 🤞🤞I believe we will find eachother somewhere on the road 🥰🥰
I guess you've already figured it out but the brown water was most probably soil and dirt rushing to the see through rivers or directly landsliding from coastal cliffs because of the rain and flooding. I've seen similar views on other places during floods.
Thankyou for sharing this information ☺️ We had never experienced the aftermath of flooding before, so was a big surprise for us to see it, and we didn't realise how bad the damage had been to coastal places⛈️. Thankfully the weather has improved alot this week. Thankyou for watching and for sharing with us 🥰🥰
So this video was filmed 2 weeks ago when we had the terrible weather all around Turkey, right? For personally yourself a good raincoat would be enough for these kind of weathers, but for the van I guess some serious repair work is needed 😀
Yeah this was filmed when the bad storms were hitting. We are a bit ahead of our videos right now, so thankfully nice sunny weather here this week and no more leaks ☺️ We defo need some repairs before the next round of bad weather hits us 🌧️⛈️
Hahaha!! Not a vegan thing, just a one month challenge he set himself. Seems like torture doesn't it 🤣🤣Yeah we have had so much fun with them, really looking forward to editting our time with them, it's been ALOT of fun
Crap id rather have norn Ireland Lol. Brilliant enjoy the videos u2. We tip even the winter noes not to go out in the winter pmsl. Keep err lit u2 some experience. Love the banter. But the sea was that colour cuz they empty all crap from last season Lol
Think you should consider buying umbrella s 🤣 and you explain the obvious to often instead of saying we're going on a scenic drive just show it as the footage explain everything and try and surprise the viewers more instead of saying what's next all the time 🙏👍
We do have an umbrella somewhere, we just suck at getting it out 🤣 It's a bit small, so feels kind of pointless 🌧️ perhaps we need a bigger one lol. Thanks so much for watching and the feedback ☺️☺️

January in Turkey is the rainy/stormy season. From research online it has very volatile weather every January.

It is a small pool inside the van 😮
Another great video guys. I find your attitude uplifting in the way you deal with the rain. It must be so difficult drying out clothes in Martha.
