BB Has got such a great head for leadership, whatever that guy gets up to in life be it stays in eSports or move on, you can just tell he's gonna do well. Great episode (again) genuinely becoming one of my favorite parts of the week waiting for the new sackdown to drop
Idk if it's just cause BB is good at articulating his thoughts but it feels like he has an insane understanding and is rly smart about things compared to a lot of other players.
HUGE props to BB and his emotional intelligence. His tidbit on how to call for resources to properly carry games was very insightful and thought provoking.
Now imagine a world where this is actually more common. You care more about the players. You hear directly from the players. Not through some reddit thread or the broadcast forcing narrative. Dom really doing god's work.
I know it's just everyone perma glazing the show (I'm one of them so don't come for my throat) but it's nice to see yamato actually progressing from episode to episode as he acclimates to the content format. Reminds me of when Dom first started doing these kind of podcasts/interviews. There are some things that stick out, but it's nice to see him finding his groove.
BB is the most self-reflective player in the scene. it's insane how this guy comfortably talks about his past mistakes and how he took responsibilty and learned from them.
I dont know if you took my last comments advice or not but its nice to see how the podcast is growing and how you are asking the players more about their career before getting into the good stuff
Yamato asking about 6 man rosters is interesting considering his time coaching Liv Sandbox. I believe he committed to a five man roster and individual players.
i dont know why but he sounds 10 times more professional than other guests. its like this is the only one i have heard were you can feel this is an actual job
Honestly I don't have big hopes for G2, I feel like they can go out in Swiss stage given their level on LEC in the playoffs. But who knows, if meta changes and they peak at the same time they can do a lot of damage.
I was a big BrokenBlade hater back in the day - (I hated everyone who was on TSM, because they were on TSM - see my name lmao) - but I have got to hand it to Dom & Yamato, and obviously BB himself. That somewhat arrogant guy (at least, how it seemed from outside) from back in the day has grown into such a humble, thoughtful and emotionally intelligent guy and clearly a very supportive and considerate teammate. Props to him for being reflective and introspective, and I'm happy to revise the image of him I used to have. Over the years I never liked G2 because of first Ocelote being a massive dickhead and then later its fanbase (sorry but to be blunt, you guys can be kind of annoying!) but I have absolutely nothing against the actual players, who I think are quite a likable bunch of guys, and I genuinely wish BB the best of luck going forward. o7 Topfather, keep doing your best. Thanks to Dom and Yamato for this episode as usual. Sackdown has very quickly become tied for my favorite piece of League content with The Dive (and I've been listening to The Dive for nearly a decade, so that's an impressive way to catch up). I think the guests are really able to be more free and open in this setting, and I like that you give them more space to discuss anything that they want, or follow certain trains of thought or tangents. iwdGOAT
The Best Player Interview Show on LoL eSports! The Sack Down, get sacked, get cracks, and start fracking those juicy history of LoL eSports only the players know! 😊🎉
I agree that this show is the best, but Thoorin could bring up some question that very few people will have the balls to ask and sometimes he gets some interesting answers, IWD sorta tryes to get it out also but falls flat. Still I do enjoy the podcasts more as Thoorin gets om my fuking nerves when he tryes to talk about the game when he just sounds clueless and the responses show it. Its just so annoying to listen to someone yap about smthng they dont understand, also he repeats some shit sometimes thats boring @@rolfdenpinguin3009
@@rolfdenpinguin3009 hes said it in other podcasts that the reason he talks so much is to get more out of the guest (larssen or abbedagge crackdowns are the most blatant examples)
Dude, Yamato, why is the sponsor not available in Europe? I´m sad now. Isn´t your audience pretty spread out across the western hemisphere? Or are there so many more american viewers? Well anyways loved BB as a guest (was very fond of TSM Legends back then with his speeches)! And would really appreciate Svenskeren as a guest (he was at the NA finals, so maybe it could be possible, right?) Great format, keep it up!
BB offers good insight when he's talking about eu players gaslighting themselves to believe they can win. western players are locked in a lose lose situation, where people will shit on them for being delusional when they believe they will win, and also shit on them anyway when they inevitably lose and tell them to work harder and stop stealing paychecks or something. i still don't believe g2 has any chance at winning anything significant. i think winning one series against a coinflip eastern team in a favourable meta over three and a half years is quite terrible actually when LoL is an insanely high variance game. g2s winningest year also shrouds their rather abysmal lane all summer. caps is getting diffed in lane by fresskowy and jackies, yike still gets gapped by elyoya and razork, bb still ints in lane, botlane still gets 2v2 killed etc. It takes more than a series where all your players are peaking to prove your worth anything more than swiss. I appreciate the hard work, but sometimes it's just not good enough
I don't want to sound mean, because I respect Dom and Yamto a lot, but Sack down feels like a worse version of reflections. I don't see the point of having 2 host for this format. For most of the time it's an interview with good questions, but there's no conversation and no pushbacks, which fine, but it's too similar to the reflection series and good for understanding the player's POV, but that's why I don't understand why there's 2 hosts. They are basically have the same roles for the purposes of this podcast. That said Sack Down is still pretty good, because the initial questions are better than almost anywhere else, and worse reflections is still good, but it feels to me like a wasted potential honestly. Ofc I might be completely wrong and it's just mine opinion.
It's like a different flavor of reflections or crack down. IMO reflections is a lot more formal and the vibe is more low key. This is perfect because what other vibe would you want when you get an old player to sit down and have a deep 1 on 1 reflection of their entire career and life (although people have had multiple appearances). Thorin knows exactly what question to ask the players to help them encapsulate their career. These interviews are also extremely long (potentially 5 hours). Sack down is the spiritual child of crack down in my mind. Where Thorin was helping/mentoring Dom develop his own flair, Dom is giving Yamato platform to do the same here. Crack down has always had a more open and casual tone to it. I think these shorter 1-2 hours episodes are perfect for shooting the sh*t with the guests and discuss more timely topics while also talking about their past. One example why you can and should have both series is carzzy. The information and vibe that he was giving off in Thorin's reflections were completely different than what he showed in sack down.
@@nguyentri3608 You could say it's spiritual successor to the Crack down, but these shows are very different. I would compare it to the voice of Yamato. It's essentially the same show, similar vibes and types of questions, but for some reason there's 2 Yamatos (or 2 Doms if you want to compare it to the Crack Down). There's no Thorin here. Dom was choosing the topic's on the Crack Down, but Thorin was clearly leading the conversation. I'm not saying that there's no place for such a show, I'm saying there's no need for the second host the way they doing it now. And I'm saying this as a fan of both of them.
I think they have to setup better before they have the interview, because i feel like they just go with the flow and often it leads no where because the guest answers short; BB was an exception to this though.
