It is a tricky thing when deciding to pick a culture or stay and collect stars. You did not lose by much. You need to stay in the era longer. Sometimes the stars mean more than the culture 😊! I agree nation is the right level. When playing with more opponents and better avatars it increases the challenge. If you had played with weaker avatars you might have won (just a point)! I like the better avatars, except my avatar he is a jerk LoL 🤣🤣🤣.
Yeah, I was definitely running on a little bit of frustration there at the end and didn't think to check the pollution effects. And yeah, maybe sticking with the era I was in a little longer might've tipped me over the edge; I'll have to keep that in mind for next time!
Your food and stability tanked thanks to pollution, there are plenty of big stability gains in Contemporary civics, but you gotta trigger them. Anyway great series, you had a fantastic early to mid game and couldn't maintain the stride in the later parts. Its normal in 4xes as players usually have more experience with the early game than the late. Anyway I really enjoyed this money run. If you're going for a new playthrough, I sugget going for big food. You usually worry a lot about population and going with several agrarians (and non-agrarians with good food bonuses such as the Inca) will be a interesting thing to see. Just don't forget to update the mod before starting the game (you can do that by entering the in-game mod browser) as newer patches of VIP rework population consumption and overpopulation mechanics. Seems purple had two revolutions to have their money and influence spring back up like that
