- Insurance Fraud is often seen as a bad thing however when you exploit the process of setting fire to your own house you can actually discover that insurance fraud is overpowered! Well today in humankind we are going to be generating infinite money thats right unlimited gold using a bug in the strategy video game to print money! Now Humankind is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits! Anyone with a tier list can see certain civilizations like khmer and the muhgals are overpowered however no one would put the norse vikings on that list as the strongest civ. However they are with the power of the naust a building that allows a viking to print money everytime they raid. Only one issue being that you can raid your own tiles instantly for fantastic profits too! Oh dear oh dear I think this perfectly balanced game might come with a few exploits!
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. If you enjoyed this then be sure to check out more. The style is similar to RT game and callmekevin in parts. A large influence on this series has come from Valefisk and The Killian Experience.
So sit back relax and enjoy this funny montage of humankind gameplay! How on earth can one english bugger beat the game at its own tricks using an insurance scam in this humankind let's play!!

Title: INSURANCE FRAUD IS OVERPOWERED - Humankind Is A Perfectly Balanced Game With No Exploits
#Humankind #Exploit #Glitch
*Its not my fault I keep burning down my own house!*
Spiff, what's your opinion on dried marijuana leaf tea?
Lmao
well as Bob ross said: its just a happy little accident
not mine either
why nut giga hull instead?
"Insurance fraud is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time."
- Yoshi, the committer of tax fraud
My man should be my lawyer
Smiled loudly to that quote xd
didn't the cops ban this exploit? smh, guess we need to do it more before it gets patched.
Best part is most insurance companies make money like rain makes water and are owned by terrible people so it's guilt free!! Have absolutely no remorse as you pay the local crime organization to commit arson on your mysteriously securityless buildings after all there are often schedule snafus in a business and for some unknown reason no one was on that shift for security
I thought the Norse were F tier, Spiff proved me wrong again
F is for Fraud
To be fair everything is F tiered until it gets exploited
They are also good for another strat: if you have a lot of islands or shallow coats, you can use all your spare influence to detach the territory than buy their unique district. It will make your food incredibly sorted
Great for a third culture if you take phonietians into Carthaginians
And to think I was trusting rankings like yours as I'm a less skilled player... ;)
How could you??!?
5 to 10 years from now, when spiff's tea addiction hits the peak, we'll be seeing this again except in real life
Everytime Spiff does an exploit in real life, God just reloads an older save when he breaks reality.
Its funny that you think he isn't already exploiting in real life 😂
@@fugitiveunknown7806 the Tva resets the timeline
@@grandadmiralthrawn3164 spiff will burn the tva to the ground
I feel ashamed for my Icelandic ancestors. They sailed all over the world ransacking everything instead of just constantly burning down their own houses as any smart nation would have!
Unfortunately they didn't rule enough coastline to properly exploit the system.
And no ruler got around to paying gold to build valuable places to loot!
@@glenmcgillivray4707 Also they did a horrible job at marketing their properties in canada to new investors, leaving the entire american market to the spaniard and portuguese real estate enterprises half a millenium later.
@@valentinmitterbauer4196 If they had just used Erik's Greenland-style marketing tactics they would have been successful.
They're equal opportunity property burners!
Thats why we in have had so man wars against Sweden, in Denmark. It was just a common interest to make more money.
We attack you make money, then you attack us and make money and we both get rich.
I wouldn’t call this insurance fraud. I call this exploiting the insurance people
Which I guess isnt illegal
Creative use of insurance mechanics
To be fair... insurance people usually have it coming
With fraud, that is.
But that isn’t as fun!
"Since we'll be burning this place down multiple times, it makes sense to call this place GIGA SLOUGH".
I already know I'm gonna love this video ^w^
Giga Slough 1
I almost spat my drink out when I heard that 😂😂
I'm not sure I get the joke? Is this a reference to a disliked place in Britain?
@Lawofimprobability ah, ok, thanks
@Lawofimprobability it's just a tip
imagine being one of the builders that repeatedly build the same house over and over and each time it's build it gets burned by a random solider and you get paid for it
Sounds like the Doozers from Fraggle Rock. They LOVE watching Their buildings get destroyed. It means they never run out of space for building new buildings.
“There we go, Mack, construction’s complete.”
“It’s glorious…Jimmy, you got the torches ready?”
That's China construction strategy, too bad real world is not a game.
if you like building then that sounds like a dream. Maybe they're practicing for the speed-building competition.

You burning Slough is very cathartic for me. I had the misfortune to be born in Slough, and it haunts me every day
Rip 🙏 you deserved better
Slough isn't all bad... that's where the Mars factory is, right?
@@SympleSymon Slough is a series of industrial estates connected by roundabouts and populated by chavs... It also happens to have a large hospital
Did you escape?
I take it you got out of the south entirely? You have competent English, after all.
and suddenly we all realize that Nero was the greatest genius of all time
he knew this exploit was a thing...letting Rome burn was just going to make him even more wealthy!!!
Spiff - "Allow me to introduce you to... Uh.. to um..... Slaves..."
I feel like the last time a British person said that, it didn't go well
It didn't.
Wym. America liked the idea so much, they stole it.
They called theirs ‘natives’. Or was it ‘black people’?
I read the title and was like: "Yep... I knew this was going to happen sooner or later."
This is how Spiff gets a "Do not insure" on the Claims Underwriting Exchange database
I thought it was a real life hack for a sec
I personally prefer not being sent to prison! However the steam exploit I am working on might do that anyway
@@thespiffingbrit I'm sure Steam is used to it at this point
@@thespiffingbrit im waiting 😈
Video idea. Game is dragon age inquisition and it should be something along the lines of champions are perfectly ballanced. Basically the jist of it is that if you put the right specs into the champion class you can have such a ridiculously high guard level (guard is like shield) that when the enemy hits you you GAIN health and litterally become unkillable to the point that you can solo the whole game with your starter weapon
"only the finest leafy soups allowed here"
great, glad my weed soup is allowed by Spiff
"They know how to commit insurance fraud!" I do? Pray, tell me more!
Spiff :- Burns down his city .
AI Villagers :- Look , that city , I think we should go and live there .
So, while I like watching these videos, I’ve personally never played a grand strategy game like this. Are they any fun (when not playing in a perfectly balanced manner)?
Well if you like strategy games they can be quite fun. Personally I prefer Humankind over Civilization. But if you want to try the genre out, Getting Civ 5 on sale isn't a bad idea. If you like it you can get Humankind or Civ 6.
There's also the Endless series of games (same developer as Humankind) and I know Endless Legend regularly goes on sale for dirt cheap.
I think Civ will be silly cheap on steam for Black Friday
Civilization 6. No questions asked, yes it is fun. Once you know how to play, you can have INFINITE FUN
@@sighko My main gripe with Humankind is that it runs like shit on my laptop, even though Civ 6 runs decent enough to be enjoyable xD
@@marcosmauricio7805 if it's a shitty old laptop - the cheapest upgrade that will actually help is changing the hard drive to an SSD and you can always transfer the SSD to another computer of you ever upgrade the laptop
Burning your own stuff was unfortunately intentional so that the devs wouldn’t have to deal with creating a separate feature for dismantling districts you don’t want in cities you conquered. Also so that you could get under the city cap if you went way over due to a war or something. The only fix is for the devs to actually put in a proper dismantle feature.
Thank you, Spiff. I desperately needed the most fair and balanced video I've ever seen today. You really know how to show off how the designers meant the game to be played. I cannot tell you how great this video is.
Additionally: is your recent SpiffCoCast of Stellaris available as a VOD yet? I'd like to like it, comment on it, download it, and watch it twice. Thanks.
Nothing like a good old bit of arson and insurance fraud to start off my day .thanks spiff :)
I think one of my favorite things about this channel is how the man refuses to give any disclaimers 🤣 he simply relies on his viewers having a modicum of intelligence to know he’s only talking about committing crimes inside of videogames. And I love it because we are intelligent folk, are we not?
If you have to call yourself smart. Then it's not very much so.
it would be cool to see you break Pharao+Cleopatra, Cæsar III or Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, they are all made by the same developers and would be hard for you to exploit.
My Thanksgiving just got better now that spiff uploaded
I'd like to see you break Endless Space 2, that'd be awesome!
This man made me buy Yorkshire tea! Love him xD
was going thru Total Biscuit today and came across your channel, love it, there is a little bit of TB in the chaos
0:05 Fun fact: This is the exact strategy the Triumvir Cassius used to make his millions
8:51 Don't think I didn't notice that you purchased all of the luxuries EXCEPT that filthy bean water.
In snowrunner you can put stickers in your cab that cost $0 but the trucks value is increased by $1000 each so you just buy truck. Fill with sticker. Now you have money from the void
Meanwhile in the Spiff universe: "CADIA STANDS! for insurance fraud"
I love commuting insurance fraud.
To be fair, my TV has been cracked multiple times when I've wanted a new one and I've always blamed my youngest child at the time because of the clause in my insurance policy that means damage committed by children under 6 is accidental. Rinse and repeat, then change provider when the price goes up.
Smart
Something Spiff did not considered: as Norseman (aka Militarist nation) you can rally excess pops each turn with Militarist action, that produces units that have ZERO UPKEEP, sure, it's garbage units, but you can make dozens of them per turn and you can re-settle them in another city, let's say a city with powerfull industry so you can process those free units into actual powerfull units. AND you can rush your way into murica because you are Norseman and funnel dozens of pops there for quick development.
Just want to say that I bought Surviving the Aftermath after I watched your video on it. I also have over thirty hours in it after just four days. Paradox's investment paid off.
"insurance fraud is sure something I love to do in my spare time"
sure a British thing to do.
"His Majesty @The Spiffing Brit does not hold any responsibility for any insurance fraud caused by this video. By watching this video you acknowledge that Spiff is not responsible for all insurance fraud commited from this video"
Yes. This comment is a joke lol.
Blame spiff for anything, I'm sure he can exploit his way through anything because he's a majestic sausage.
"there is no counter" Ah, but Spiff You could simply play the game as intended. By making it a battle of exploits.
This tactic was actually used by Roman emperor Nero Claudius Caeser Augustus Germanicus in the year 64 and is still successful till this day. Amazing
Nero burns Rome is from Tacitus who claim Nero was watching and playing some instrument which is complete nonsense as Nero was 35 miles from Rome.
Also fires were common at the time in Rome. Lastly even the fact the Christians were blame for the fire makes sense since the Roman Christians as whole believe that Rome was prophesied to burn and as such would have a motive to burn it themselves or prevent people stopping it's spread.
@@mattm8870 yeah well and I made a joke
Thanks Spiffing Brit, I used this hack in real life and made lots of money!👍
I’m not British, I don’t even drink Yorkshire tea, in fact I drink the dark bean broth every morning… BUT. I love your videos.
spiff: perfectly balanced
thanos: hey that's my line
since he is burning things down, choosing Notre-Dame just seems fitting
The counterplay is if anyone picks Norsemen, wreck anywhere they could build Nausts.
Loving how Spiffing's exploits themselves are british because they mostly are basically "Ok so in order to get to this exploit that will help you be a god you must first spend 5 hours of your life first playing the game normally sometimes getting to mid or late game and walla"
How normal people insult others: * you!
How Spiff insults others (mostly his own): sack you!
You should sacrify population to get new buildings for free at some point.
Also, you can transcend and stay Norsemen forever.
Nice video
I feel like a colab between spiffing Brit and Fact Fiend would be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen from UK YT
I think I finally get it.
The towns in a power ranger show are actually all viking towns. And they actually hired Rita Repulsa to wreck everything. That is how they have everything rebuilt by next episode.
Guardsmen: Cadia will never fall
Failbaddon: Haha blackstone goes brrr
Let me quick quote Chester Bennington on this:
We're building it up to break it back down
We're building it up to burn it down
We can't wait to burn it to the ground
I love committing insurance fraud.
your comment doubled btw
@@Cookiekopter hell yeah
Honestly, Spiffs videos on this game are better than the game itself. I really hope they improve it.
The best fraud of all time was the guy who collected parking money at the London zoo (I think?) for like 20 years. The zoo thought he worked for the city but the city thought he worked for the zoo but one day he just never came back and parking was free

The greatest money maker is James Bisonette
There is an infinite money generating, pay to win exploit in a fantastic 2004 ps2/xbox game called Baldur's Gate, Dark Alliance 2.
In that game (based off D&D 3rd edition), you could pull off a cheeky magic item exploit to gain essentially infinite wealth, and then use that wealth to create magical items that would make you nigh unstoppable, unkillable, and deal incredible amounts of damage.
You pull it off by making a set of rings and boots that add bonuses to your charisma, the higher the bonus, the greater the discount for buying and margin for selling.
The developers were smart enough to have a point where the selling amount always stays below the buying amount for the same goods at a shop to prevent exactly this exploit. However, if you create two sets, one that sets your charisma for the best selling price, and another that sets your charisma for the best buying price, you can ignore such restraints as economic sense and ethics and become the capitalist God you were destined to be.
Until I saw the game box cover in your description, I was thinking you were making a REAL hot take on how to make money irl.
Wow.. ransacking and enslaving your own cities.. .sounds like Shield Hero.

"That's pretty good, but we can make it better" is basically England's entire historical M.O.
Spiff challenge, take a sip of nice cup of tea every time Spiff say 'Lovely Stuff'
Is this the origin story of Robin Hood? " its much much better to just pillage your own lands. no need to pillage other people's lands "
Just an update: They have already patched this out.
They changed everything except for the building itself as ransacking now takes 1 turn per 100 gold, war slaves no longer gives a pop, and you can no longer insta sack your own sites.
Thank you I almosted wasted my time.
Spiff exploiting the insurance people.
IRS: Write that down...
Spiff's next video: "How to duplicate Yorkshire teabags and become immortal"
I'm already envisioning potato reviving his great Norwegian pillaging playthrough in civ, but in this game.
You know I always thought I would not be influenced by him constantly telling me to drink tee...yet here I am with a hot cup of tea just because spiff posted a new video...sigh...so insurance fraud sound like fun 😊
I actually grew up in Sirmium (now Sremska Mitrovica) and I am aghast at your treatment of it
the game found out spiff is breaking the game so the game gave spiff a ship outisde his teritory which cost him 20 gold per turn to nerf him
"the acquisition of unpaid interns is highly illegal" that one way to put it lmao
I do think that using it to gain a huge population in your cities could be more useful then the money. I mean, you are not getting millions, a few hundred Ks at best because you can't just do tons of insurance frauds over and over, the game will end before you can that much money.
But maxing out the population in all your cities can be rather powerful too, particularly with a lot of extra money so you can basically build up mega cities from nothing in a couple of turn.
Forgive me Lord Spiff, for I have sinned. I drank coffee instead of Yorkshire tea
The original Dungeon Keeper was a great game, idk if there are any exploits but it would be nice to see a video about it.
"I get knocked down, but I get up again. Never gonna keep me down" --Commons Quarters
Spiff: "Insurance fraud is overpowered"
Me: "SPIFF NO"
was about to start playing this game but wanted to watch a spiff vid and thank god i saw this
the devs when they see a new spiffing brit video: Aww shit, here we go again.
The Vikings know how to commit insurance fraud! 😂😂😂😂
I wonder how bad Spiff's numbers would drop if any that drinks coffee actually stopped watching 🤔
Wait until the irs hears about this
Is it bad that upon seeing the video title, I briefly believed Spiff wasn't even talking about a video game?
> Changes name of well-fortified region to Cadia.
You've just doomed the entire planet!
"(...) due to very poorly balanced way this game is balanced" -Spiff 2021
Don't forget you could have picked the Conquistadores for their unique unit that gives additional money from ransacking.
Wow Spiff. If i ever got to share an infinite gold exploit in Skyrim with you, i totally would.
Nothing like a bit of arson to balance the books
Ank-Morpork just seconds after the introduction of in-sewer-ants
Was I the only one who felt just a tad disappointed when I found out this wasn't spiff showing us how to commit tax fraud irl?
I think Stailn tried to pull off this strat but he should have watched spiffs video first.
Missed opportunity to call them evergrand from building and tearing down over and over. Like a Chinese construction crew.
The planet broke before the guard.
This reminds me of Total War: Raiding one of your own regions that has runaway negative Public Order to push it to rebellion, thus resetting Public Order. But this is way more broken. 😎
The planet broke before the teahouse did!
Roman Emperor nero be like: We will Burn down our own Empire.
Ransacking your own country is called taxation, its op IRL too
I drank 5 cups of coffee while watching this.
Totally need to ransack and pillage "Supreme Commander" next.
when I seen this video, I was excited for more in real life shenanigens.... but this will do too
My premiums are going to skyrocket after watching this video.
