This entire fight was a love letter to pontiff lmao, the fact i was using longsword, shield and the default knight armor made it look like a rematch of old enemies but in a different setting.

Reminds me of Lady Maria's OST. This is one of the best tracks I've heard so far
2:20 - 2:28 is the pinnacle of the soundtrack, the dramatical tension rising up along with the twin moons.

I just beat her today and it was easily one of the closest and most satisfying fights I've ever had in this game, second only to Malenia.

Rellana reminds me of a roman empress with her armor and fighting style.
An empress that will absolutely dominate and destroy you if you're not gonna pay enough repsect to her.

I loved this boss
This whole dlc was insanely consistent. All 11 main bosses are great, except maybe gaius and mertyr
Go ahead and add Consort Radahn,Romina and Golden Hippo to that list of bosses who aren’t great. Only Dancing Lion,Rellana,Messmer,Bayle and Midra are great. Everything else was either poorly designed like Gaius and Radahn or nothing special like Metyr and Romina.
Though I get the feeling you’ve only played Elden ring and not the other souls games so your bar for boss quality is quite low as Elden ring has the 4th worst boss quality only ahead of dark souls 1,2 and demon souls.

I LOVED this boss fight. Completely frustrating since she’s the twin of Rennala of the Full Moon but she has nearly the COMPLETE opposite moveset to her older sister. Rennala summons creatures and back up to cast her spells but Rellana likes to shift and sway stupid close to you and always keeps you within arms reach. I really wish she had an opening cutscene like “Oh lunar sister and blazing flame, give me the strength to remove this vile intruder. Tarnished, I will not allow thee to progress to postpone his sacred task. On my name, Rellana of the twin moon” or something like that. I would even just run around the boss arena just to listen to the music. Absolutely stunning
it's just the sword of messmer. Nothing more, nothing less. Rellana I see as a high-level knightess of Caria like Loretta. In the history of the shadow kingdom, she's not as important as Messmer, she's just an enforcer who chose a tyrant instead of serving Caria and the academy.

Her health scales with the amount of summons. Leda on her own however, can tank a few hits.

She didn't actually leave FromSoft, she just decided to be an independent composer. I believe because in this way she is able to work on music also for other games besides FromSoft's
