My auntie was doing a final around the world trip (shes in her late 70s), we are from New Zealand - and her last stop was to visit Israel. Of course, on her last destination she was planning to visit, the missiles started to strike. Her and her friends were rushed by Israeli's into a bomb shelter, they were there for most of the day. They were treated so unbelievably well by the people of Israel. Once the first major attack started to die down, they were rushed to the Ben Gurion airport, where they escaped to England. All of the staff members at the place they were staying and at the airport were so amazingly brave, they were making sure absolutely every traveller would be okay. She hopes to return one day to see the West Wall and the City of David. She was about to before the strikes. I'm just so grateful she's okay! I hope to visit Israel one day and go to the place she stayed to thank the selfless people who looked after her so well during the attack.
I'm also a kiwi and jewish and it's simply horrific seeing what is going on in our country's media. I keep having to take down the lying posters people put over the kidnapped posters, and my brother and I were preparing to do our birthright trip to israel just before the war started. I now probably will never be able to go (I'm already 26 and it's the age cap) and my brother was going to be studying music in berlin on scholarship, but is now going to an australian academy instead as our parents have heard some scary things about jews in berlin recently. There are no facts here. It doesn't matter how anyone ‘spins’ this. The fact is that in 1947, after Allied remorse, the Palestinians were removed from their land so that Jews could have it. Over 700,000 Palestinians were instructed to leave the homes their families had lived in for hundreds of years. It really is that simple. Jews 'believe' that the land is historically theirs - it isn't. Everything else is an irrelevance. The Jews (Israelites) were a small tribe and hadn't been in Canaan, as it was then called, in any great numbers, for thousands of years. The demonym "Canaanites" serves as an ethnic catch-all term covering various indigenous populations-both settled and nomadic-pastoral groups-throughout the regions of the southern Levant or Canaan. Additionally these claims are based on the Old Testament part of the Bible - hardly a fact-based source of historical accuracy. However if the western powers, who enable Israel, truly believe that the Jews have a right to their 'homeland' then every single person in the US should leave and the Indigenous Indians take their land. As should all the white people of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa to the Aboriginals, Kiwis and the various tribes that existed there. It doesn't matter how anyone ‘spins’ this. The fact is that in 1947, after Allied remorse, the Palestinians were removed from their land so that Jews could have it. Over 700,000 Palestinians were instructed to leave the homes their families had lived in for hundreds of years. It really is that simple. Jews 'believe' that the land is historically theirs - it isn't. Everything else is an irrelevance. The Jews (Israelites) were a small tribe and hadn't been in Canaan, as it was then called, in any great numbers, for thousands of years. The demonym "Canaanites" serves as an ethnic catch-all term covering various indigenous populations-both settled and nomadic-pastoral groups-throughout the regions of the southern Levant or Canaan. Additionally these claims are based on the Old Testament part of the Bible - hardly a fact-based source of historical accuracy. However if the western powers, who enable Israel, truly believe that the Jews have a right to their 'homeland' then every single person in the US should leave and the Indigenous Indians take their land. As should all the white people of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa to the Aboriginals, Kiwis and the various tribes that existed there. All those of Spanish descent should leave Central and South America too. And every single Jew should support that. If it works one way it works all ways. I stand with Palestine.

He only wants the truth to be heard. I think there are truths on both sides. Too many lives lost. I need to share this heartwarming story with you. A Filipina nurse/caregiver was with her old Israeli patient. She heard the shooting outside and stood up to see what was happening and realized that the gunmen were killing the neighbors. She could have run away to save herself, but one thing was clear in her heart, she decided to stay with her old patient. She sat down and they held hands. They were killed together as friends and family.
This is all very interesting to get some personal perspective like this. But why the heck do I get an advertisment of US Christian fanatics while watching it? Don't they know that religion is one of the main causes of this whole conflict?

Shalom. As a Chinese who went to school in the states, I thank you for the videos you make. It's a funny situation back here--China has been rather right on the political spectrum for quite a long time, and after violence broke out in Xinjiang there has been a lot of hate towards muslims. What's funny is these days a lot of Chinese are hailing the Hamas as true warriors, turning a blind eye on what they'd done, and saying Israel brought this to itself. It's mind boggling how they are calling uighurs who killed Chinese people terrorists but refuse to call the Hamas the same. Some would even go as far to compare Israel to Japan, which colonized and brutally murdered tens of thousands of Chinese during WWII. This analogy is so out of range for anyone who cares to learn the basic facts of the Palestine-Israel conflict. Well, I guess it shouldn't be mind boggling given the disinformation coming from the top down. It's simply disheartening to see those of us Chinese who are trying to discuss facts getting ignored and this hate towards Israel (and jews--Chinese can be as islamophobic as antisemetic) gets the center stage. It's also disgusting to see people mindlessly jeering Israel for what it's been through. This is a moment where ignorance and sheer stupidity becomes despicable. To be clear, I've had close muslim friends from Pakistan, India, and Saudi Arabia, and they are great. But one thing that gave me perspective was when my Saudi friend told me as a woman she was not able to drive in Saudi. It's one thing learning all about how women cannot be educated in Iran from the news; it's another to have a real person who's clubbed with you and went to classes with you telling you this. Since then, the question I'd ask any nationalist group would be this: when you are saying you're fighting for your people, does that include women and queers? As a woman myself, this is the same question I'd ask the Hamas. I might not agree with everything you've shared with us so far due to different contexts and interpretation of the facts, but you've straightened up a lot of facts for me from an Israeli's perspective. One thing to me is clear: the founding of a state should not be upon the annihilation of another. I understand the hate from the Palestinians, and as a matter of fact, I believe many Israelis does so too. If one cares to do some research you'll find that many Israelis also disagree with Netanyahu's policies in Gaza. The Hamas has no excuse for committing slaughtering civilians, and what they are doing should never be faulted on the the Jewish people. This isn't retaliation. It is terrorism, measures so extreme from which no meaningful outcomes will ever emerge. My thoughts are with you and your people. Please know that despite all the hate jews are getting right now, there are still people who are doing their best to remain sane. God I hope those leaders do the same.
One thing you shouldn't forget, moorchan, there was a sizable and notable Jewish community in China, for 1000 years, Persian refugees from Kai-fung, Russians in Harbin and later, escapees from Germany in Shanghai. China has been home many peoples but we don't forget that we lived together long enough to be kind and respectful to each other.

Very good comment, and I agree with much of what you say. However, Israel has not been created on the annihilation of Palestine, which has never existed as its own self-governing, recognised country. The first 2-state partition plan offered 80% of the land to the Palestinians. The Jews accepted this desperate for a haven. The Palestinians rejected it, as they have every 2-state solution. And those Palestinians with property in Israel would have retained it and had full rights as Israeli citizens, as long as they recognised the State of Israel. The displacement of 700k Palestinians came after they attacked the newly declared Israel and then lost the Arab-Israeli War. To a large degree the Palestinians (certainly their leadership) are the architects of their own misfortune. It's a shame they seem unable to put aside their antisemitic ideology and be more pragmatic.

I am German living in Berlin. I have been feeling so awful and worried and scared for the people in Israel. It is the absolute worst tragedy. I am a mother myself and thinking of the murdered and captured children makes me feel unimaginable horror. Of course I also worry about the Palestinian civilians and realise that there are mothers and children, there, too... but I feel like the world really isn't understanding what the Israelis went through and are still going through. I find the reporting on the destruction and human tragedy in Israel is extremely lacking. People do not really grasp the extent of this tragedy. They don't properly understand it. I think I know why the media coverage is so reserved. Maybe it has to be this way. But I feel it is a bit of an injustice towards the people who have experienced so much suffering. The Israelis deserve to be supported and empathised with in their awful situation. I think better media coverage would go a long way to making the world understand. I know most of the governments all over the world say they support Israel, but that doesn't help the Israelis at all. The hearts of the people seem to worry a lot more about Palestine. While that is an important issue, too, it still pains me so much to think of the Israelis and how isolated and alone they must feel (due to their geographic location and otherwise).

I don't see any reason for him to lie, but it does seem a little too one sided for me. If he is right, it notes Jews have been on these lands far longer than Palestinians. If you look at it from a modern context however, Palestine is a country and there are parts of it being occupied by Israel. The broader context notes how Muslim Arabs have invaded and taken control of those same areas but also for about as long as the Jews claimed them. This is a Jew vs Islam conflict no matter how you slice it.

My auntie was doing a final around the world trip (shes in her late 70s), we are from New Zealand - and her last stop was to visit Israel. Of course, on her last destination she was planning to visit, the missiles started to strike. Her and her friends were rushed by Israeli's into a bomb shelter, they were there for most of the day. They were treated so unbelievably well by the people of Israel. Once the first major attack started to die down, they were rushed to the Ben Gurion airport, where they escaped to England. All of the staff members at the place they were staying and at the airport were so amazingly brave, they were making sure absolutely every traveller would be okay. She hopes to return one day to see the West Wall and the City of David. She was about to before the strikes. I'm just so grateful she's okay! I hope to visit Israel one day and go to the place she stayed to thank the selfless people who looked after her so well during the attack.

I'm also a kiwi and jewish and it's simply horrific seeing what is going on in our country's media. I keep having to take down the lying posters people put over the kidnapped posters, and my brother and I were preparing to do our birthright trip to israel just before the war started. I now probably will never be able to go (I'm already 26 and it's the age cap) and my brother was going to be studying music in berlin on scholarship, but is now going to an australian academy instead as our parents have heard some scary things about jews in berlin recently. My heart breaks for Israel, and I hope both I and your aunt will be able to go there some day.

Just like Ezekiel 37 and 37, I believe that we live in a time these prophecies still are very relevant. Even Ezekiel 37 reminds me of the genocide of the Jews, but also the promise of your land in Isaiah.
For now, I don't know if Zephaniah 2 is a prophecy that is relevant for today, but it has some similarities. First I'd like to say that my mother is Jewish but she converted to Catholicism for my father, who's grew up in SW Poland. It doesn't matter how anyone ‘spins’ this. The fact is that in 1947, after Allied remorse, the Palestinians were removed from their land so that Jews could have it. Over 700,000 Palestinians were instructed to leave the homes their families had lived in for hundreds of years. It really is that simple.
Jews 'believe' that the land is historically theirs - it isn't. Everything else is an irrelevance. The Jews (Israelites) were a small tribe and hadn't been in Canaan, as it was then called, in any great numbers, for thousands of years. The demonym "Canaanites" serves as an ethnic catch-all term covering various indigenous populations-both settled and nomadic-pastoral groups-throughout the regions of the southern Levant or Canaan. Additionally these claims are based on the Old Testament part of the Bible - hardly a fact-based source of historical accuracy.
However if the western powers, who enable Israel, truly believe that the Jews have a right to their 'homeland' then every single person in the US should leave and the Indigenous Indians take their land. As should all the white people of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa to the Aboriginals, Kiwis and the various tribes that existed there. All those of Spanish descent should leave Central and South America too. And every single Jew should support that.

It doesn't matter how anyone ‘spins’ this. The fact is that in 1947, after Allied remorse, the Palestinians were removed from their land so that Jews could have it. Over 700,000 Palestinians were instructed to leave the homes their families had lived in for hundreds of years. It really is that simple.
Jews 'believe' that the land is historically theirs - it isn't. Everything else is an irrelevance. The Jews (Israelites) were a small tribe and hadn't been in Canaan, as it was then called, in any great numbers, for thousands of years. The demonym "Canaanites" serves as an ethnic catch-all term covering various indigenous populations-both settled and nomadic-pastoral groups-throughout the regions of the southern Levant or Canaan. Additionally these claims are based on the Old Testament part of the Bible - hardly a fact-based source of historical accuracy.
However if the western powers, who enable Israel, truly believe that the Jews have a right to their 'homeland' then every single person in the US should leave and the Indigenous Indians take their land. As should all the white people of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa to the Aboriginals, Kiwis and the various tribes that existed there. All those of Spanish descent should leave Central and South America too. And every single Jew should support that.

I need to share this heartwarming story with you. A Filipina nurse/caregiver was with her old Israeli patient. She heard the shooting outside and stood up to see what was happening and realized that the gunmen were killing the neighbors. She could have run away to save herself, but one thing was clear in her heart, she decided to stay with her old patient. She sat down and they held hands. They were killed together as friends and family.

Shalom. As a Chinese who went to school in the states, I thank you for the videos you make. It's a funny situation back here--China has been rather right on the political spectrum for quite a long time, and after violence broke out in Xinjiang there has been a lot of hate towards muslims. What's funny is these days a lot of Chinese are hailing the Hamas as true warriors, turning a blind eye on what they'd done, and saying Israel brought this to itself. It's mind boggling how they are calling uighurs who killed Chinese people terrorists but refuse to call the Hamas the same. Some would even go as far to compare Israel to Japan, which colonized and brutally murdered tens of thousands of Chinese during WWII. This analogy is so out of range for anyone who cares to learn the basic facts of the Palestine-Israel conflict. Well, I guess it shouldn't be mind boggling given the disinformation coming from the top down.
It's simply disheartening to see those of us Chinese who are trying to discuss facts getting ignored and this hate towards Israel (and jews--Chinese can be as islamophobic as antisemetic) gets the center stage. It's also disgusting to see people mindlessly jeering Israel for what it's been through. This is a moment where ignorance and sheer stupidity becomes despicable.
To be clear, I've had close muslim friends from Pakistan, India, and Saudi Arabia, and they are great. But one thing that gave me perspective was when my Saudi friend told me as a woman she was not able to drive in Saudi. It's one thing learning all about how women cannot be educated in Iran from the news; it's another to have a real person who's clubbed with you and went to classes with you telling you this. Since then, the question I'd ask any nationalist group would be this: when you are saying you're fighting for your people, does that include women and queers? As a woman myself, this is the same question I'd ask the Hamas.
I might not agree with everything you've shared with us so far due to different contexts and interpretation of the facts, but you've straightened up a lot of facts for me from an Israeli's perspective. One thing to me is clear: the founding of a state should not be upon the annihilation of another. I understand the hate from the Palestinians, and as a matter of fact, I believe many Israelis does so too. If one cares to do some research you'll find that many Israelis also disagree with Netanyahu's policies in Gaza. The Hamas has no excuse for committing slaughtering civilians, and what they are doing should never be faulted on the the Jewish people. This isn't retaliation. It is terrorism, measures so extreme from which no meaningful outcomes will ever emerge.
My thoughts are with you and your people. Please know that despite all the hate jews are getting right now, there are still people who are doing their best to remain sane. God I hope those leaders do the same.

Very good comment, and I agree with much of what you say. However, Israel has not been created on the annihilation of Palestine, which has never existed as its own self-governing, recognised country. The first 2-state partition plan offered 80% of the land to the Palestinians. The Jews accepted this desperate for a haven. The Palestinians rejected it, as they have every 2-state solution. And those Palestinians with property in Israel would have retained it and had full rights as Israeli citizens, as long as they recognised the State of Israel. The displacement of 700k Palestinians came after they attacked the newly declared Israel and then lost the Arab-Israeli War. To a large degree the Palestinians (certainly their leadership) are the architects of their own misfortune. It's a shame they seem unable to put aside their antisemitic ideology and be more pragmatic.

I am German living in Berlin. I have been feeling so awful and worried and scared for the people in Israel. It is the absolute worst tragedy. I am a mother myself and thinking of the murdered and captured children makes me feel unimaginable horror. Of course I also worry about the Palestinian civilians and realise that there are mothers and children, there, too... but I feel like the world really isn't understanding what the Israelis went through and are still going through. I find the reporting on the destruction and human tragedy in Israel is extremely lacking. People do not really grasp the extent of this tragedy. They don't properly understand it. I think I know why the media coverage is so reserved. Maybe it has to be this way. But I feel it is a bit of an injustice towards the people who have experienced so much suffering. The Israelis deserve to be supported and empathised with in their awful situation. I think better media coverage would go a long way to making the world understand. I know most of the governments all over the world say they support Israel, but that doesn't help the Israelis at all. The hearts of the people seem to worry a lot more about Palestine. While that is an important issue, too, it still pains me so much to think of the Israelis and how isolated and alone they must feel (due to their geographic location and otherwise).

I don't see any reason for him to lie, but it does seem a little too one sided for me. If he is right, it notes Jews have been on these lands far longer than Palestinians. If you look at it from a modern context however, Palestine is a country and there are parts of it being occupied by Israel. The broader context notes how Muslim Arabs have invaded and taken control of those same areas but also for about as long as the Jews claimed them. This is a Jew vs Islam conflict no matter how you slice it.

Kurz nach den Vorkommnissen von letzter Woche hat ein Lehrer meines Sohnes (wir leben in F) für meinen Geschmack etwas zu viel Verständnis für die Situation der "Palästinenser" gezeigt, weshalb ich mich etwas ausführlichere mit der Situation in Israel beschäftigen wollte.
Ich bin echt froh, dabei auf deine politischen Videos gestoßen zu sein, weil ansonsten in den Medien kaum Fakten verbreitet werden und sie hochgradig von Bias und politischem Kalkül bestimmt sind.
Ich wünsche euch allen alles Gute und viel Kraft.
Das sieht nach einer europäischen Krankheit aus. Ich habe das so satt. Mit der Bildung stimmt wirklich etwas nicht. Wir sollten einfach in der Lage sein, unsere Solidarität mit dem jüdischen Volk zum Ausdruck zu bringen und uns nicht von Lehrern, Intellektuellen und Schreiern unter Druck setzen zu lassen. Ich denke, das ist eine völlig falsche Entwicklung. Ich hasse die extreme Linke und die extreme Rechte wirklich und halte das für falsch. Vielleicht ist es an der Zeit für einen europäischen Ansatz und eine europäische Reflexion.

Last video he said he was available to debate his points. I debunked MANY of his points and he didn't reply at all. It looks like it's just another mouthpiece of anti-islam propaganda taking advantage of a horrible moment we have here. He DOES NOT respond when called out with arguments. And he lies and distort things A LOT.
I started following your channel during COVID, and I always found your political videos very educational and thoughtful. I think I paid attention to them because you never came across as unreasonable or unreliable. And now you have a following who you have built trust with through the years, which is helpful during a time like this because it’s a lot more personal.
