I think it's also important to state the widely ignored fact, that no Palestinian official saw it necessary to condemn Hammas' actions in southern Israel. If they claim that Hammas does not represent all Palestinians, the least they can do is show their discontent from these barbaric actions. Their silence in this case screams out loud.
Mahmoud Abbas eventually did, but WB Palestinians only get Arab media, which is only propaganda. It keaves out all info about Hamas attacks on Israel and jumps straight to condemning Israel for striking, when in reality, it's just defending itself. So Palestinians and Arabs around the world don't ever see what their people have done to Israelis. It's a big problem.

About me, I am a police officer in California and have worked for five different departments over the last 38 years including for the State of CA. I currently worked at a large department and have served in tactical units, street violence units, conducted Homicide investigations, narcotic investigations, child abuse investigations, felony theft investigations, and worked undercover, and managed informants. I have collected evidence and supervised evidence collection teams. I was raised Catholic, and continue to be a poorly practicing Catholic. I form opinions based on fact and evidence not emotion. I was aware of "roof knocking". About 15 years ago, at a house party during my university days two Palestinian "peace activists" from the Middle East and Europe told me about it and that was a terrorizing technique, ie. Israel wants to torment and scare the buildings' inhabitants, thus roof knocks and if they feel like it, follow it up with a bigger rocket, so poor Gazans always live in fear. They didn't tell me that IDF does it to warn inhabitants. In fact, I immediately suggested this to be a possible reason to these two "peace activists", because their story made no sense to me and I was raised to always give benefit of the doubt and never assume the worst about someone's intentions. It wasn't a hard push back at all, I was a very shy and polite 19 year old girl at the time. These "peace activists" immediately started guilt-tripping me and accusing me that I was a Zionist, that I was no better than a Nazi and that they could not be my friends anymore. I was a shy 19 year old girl alone abroad for university, never been to Israel, not really aware what Zionism means and was just loving everyone in the world and in favour of peace. I remember this situation distinctly and how confused and ashamed I was, because these two older "peace activists" (they were in their late 20s and I was really looking up to them) spent the whole evening lecturing me and telling me, that I needed to feel ashamed for my support for genocide - when in fact I had not declared any support or picked a side, but simply had made a polite and friendly suggestion, that questioned their narrative. That maybe IDF drops the small bombs first to give civilians a chance. These two peace activists spent a great time in the following weeks to tell friends and fellow students of mine that they should be careful around me, "she plays this naive little doe-eyed-girl, but she's a nazi". I was completely distraught, felt completely isolated. It took me many years to understand what had even happened and why I had angered these two people, who I liked and looked up to, with an innocent and friendly suggestion. They don't care about people or love or peace. They only manipulate with one agenda: destruction. And if you naively or purposefully push back, you are no longer useful and deserve destruction too, in their eyes.

I did know about the Israeli practice of "knocking on roofs" because I've been following the situation for many years. It's very frustrating how biased the news coverage of this region is. Social media has made it even worse.

Yes, there are a lot of casualties but the ICJ can’t assume the motive is to wipe out a population as a whole, especially since Israel has always been agreeing to a two-state solution.

St. Paul converted the Palestinians to Orthodox Christianity in 33 A.D. Then in the 7th century Mohammed converted many to Islam but there were just as many Palestinian Orthodox Christians as there were muslims and they both lived in peace. Then the Nakba in 1948 when the Israeli nazi occupation came over 750,000 Palestinian Orthodox Christians and muslims fled. Everyone thinks that the Palestinians are only muslims,many Palestinian christians have fled but everyone still thinks only Palestinian muslims live in Palestine.

@@E._Laz Not to mention that the land area of Israel is 1/1000th of that of the Arabic world, and the majority of Palestine (Jordan) is already controlled by Palestinian Arabs (current Jordanese). If anything, it's the Palestinian Arabs who are colonizing what little land the Israelites have for themselves (which is especially lamentable since Israelites have nowhere else to call home, as evidenced by events preceding WW2 as well as in modern times as well). I think the reactions of most people in developed countries is just a reflection of how little the average person knows (or cares) about geography / the world in general.

I am a British citizen living in Northern Ireland and I would like to say that I am disgusted with the BBC and the way they are reporting the Israeli/hamas war. hamas are cowardly terrorists and should be described as so. There is definitely a bias towards the cowards hamas' narrative and an acceptance of their statements as factual and accurate,the hospital bombing you mentioned being one example. I now check the BBC headlines and then watch other, more balanced, news channels. Your channel is excellent, very informative and fair. Video much appreciated. As a UK citizen i have long been aware that the BBC is no longer the impartial media it once prided itself in being. So helpful to hear an Israeli point of view, please keep up the good work. I have been subscribing to your channel for around 6 months and really enjoy the films. Visited your beautiful country in September just weeks before the terrorist attacked, it grieves me to think of all those lovely people we met and places we visited being under attack.
As a Brit it's quite embarrassing to know that in Israel the BBC has one of the worst media reputations. It used to be a famous institution and set the bar worldwide. It's been a joke now for many years.

That's a good point, I also find it funny that the BBC won't identify itself as state media either.
But still, moving away from the BBC because it's not impartial enough, and then moving over to a completely unregulated RUclips video, with a single talking head, spoonfeeding over-simplistic narratives, with such an obvious blindspot for historical context, and a slant so steep that it's clearly propaganda, is just ridiculous and very stupid.
Don't forget there is a tendency, especially amongst some Brits, to think of impartiality as "saying what I believe", or "presenting information as if everything is justified", or even just "telling me something in a way that makes me feel like I understand with minimal effort on my part". You can see it day to day in just the ways so many Brits think that their deeply subjective views on things are just "common sense" and then won't expand any further.
When Western media decides which propaganda they want to follow, they'll push it. Whoever controls the media, controls the narrative.
I love to hear you clarify the confusing reports that the press sets forth. I marvel that there can be reporters standing in the midst of total horror and they are "safe". On another aspect, I would love to know more about you. Your reports are so factual and presented so clearly. What type of work did you do, and do you have a staff of researchers that helps you put these videos together? Thank you for the history lesson of things I didn't know about the Palestinian (Arab) vs. Israeli issues. I even told my mom and others to view your site, so that they get a better perspective on what the "real" root cause is. I just wish our media would give us U.S. citizens the same history lesson. As an Austrian I wanted to let you know that I thank you for your great work and your eye opening videos.
The Israeli will "not be celebrating the deaths of civilian casualties", he says, but Israel continues inflicting them. That is the problem.
The presenter using "friendly fire" in an army as some kind justification for what is happening in Gaza right now is truly warped. He is making excuses for what are, quite literally, war crimes. "Friendly fire" is not a war crime.
The reason that the Arabs said 'no' in 1947 was that the plan (Resolution 181) allocated 56% of the territory to the Jews despite them only making up 33% of the population.
"Israel is willing to compromise" he says. Then why has Israel moved 700,000 (!) people into the West Bank that is recognized as Palestinian territory? There is a reason that it is considered OPT (Occupied Palestinian Territory) by the UN, the International Court of Justice and many others.
Then he suddenly starts referring to Hamas and Hezbollah "loving death". This is of course nonsense, and what about the large majority of Palestinians that do not affiliate with either in any way, but just want a life with basic rights? Including millions of children.
In the Israeli Nation-State bill it says that the nature of the State of Israel is the "nation state of Jewish people". I.e. a racist and excluding system of apartheid, where non-jews do not have the same rights, and, as said, Israel is simultaneously expansionistic in the OPT. So what are the Palestinians to do?
I had to stop after 4 minutes. The propaganda here is thick as molasses and a very good example of the narrative many so-called moderate Israelis are trying to spin. Every example is cherry-picked while leaving out context and highly relevant examples of the contrary.
Please stop and inform yourselves before internalising any of this. I recommend watching a couple of interviews with (the jewish) professor Norman Finkelstein. It should widen your perspective quite a bit.

Many year ago, we had a writing class at Institute of Technology Canberra . The topic was Australia should stop livestock export. Our teacher was a nice, soft-speaking young man. He shared some violent bloody videos and pictures that showed how cruel the livestock export was, how the poor animals suffered during the shipping and be slaughtered in foreign countries. eg. Southern Asia and the Middle East etc. He suggested Australian may improve cold chain transportation instead of livestock export. However, one classmate who came from the Middle Eastern claimed he discriminated. I didn’t hear a single word relating the race or religions from him etc. after class , she gathered other students who had similar backgrounds condemned the teacher and went to the director’ office. A few days later, the teacher was fired. The incident shocked me and left impression on my mind. Those people are so sensitive and unified against anything which is not on their side, whatever right or wrong.
I understood that Muslim have some rule about Halal food. That’s no problem at all. I believe there’s Halal food in Australia as well. The teacher didn’t disrespect them at all. How ridiculous is that effected he lost his job?

Half my family is Israeli but I live elsewhere. After this war began I said to my partner "I miss only having to keep up to date with the ridiculous gender politics and shit in America"... you are so right. They are the most privileged, doesn't matter what race or who they are, anyone who isn't directly involved with this war or doesn't have close loved ones suffering there and are actually affected personally every day, have no fucking idea what's actually going on.
They come from countries where people create bizarre insignificant problems just to have something to be mad about.. I have lived in Israel during active war and grew up with this conflict in my life from birth. I'm sick of people who have never set foot near the middle east spouting regurgitated pro palestinian propaganda on social media, so brave they are.. while my closest friends and family in Israel are in grief, traumatized and vulnerable to real threat and real danger to their lives. Those who have never experienced the situation before will NEVER understand.
This man says in all his videos, “if you don’t believe me, look it up”. Well, I started doing that. Going back to Solomon’s Temple, everything he says (that I’ve looked up) seems to be factual. The amount of history in Israel, both ancient and current, is enough to make your head spin. It must be the most documented area in the world. I’ve been trying to find some reason to support the Palestinians, so far I’m drawing a blank. Reporters who try to make a case for the Palestinians, always come up short in my eyes. I admit that I’m an ignorant non-Jew/non-Arab American and will never completely understand the Israeli situation but that doesn’t stop me from trying.

Oren, I really appreciate your videos. The first one I saw was the one saying No Thank You, to the question of a Palestinian State. It was an excellent encapsulation of the situation. I did give, the other side, such that it is, a chance to argue with facts their anti-Israel position. After a few, I gave up. Finally got disgusted with the constant exaggeration, disproportionate expectations and double standards they would grab onto, largely to save face.
Armed with your info and more I dug out myself, I've tried to make a dent in the ignorant social milieu on this subject. Not holding back with comments on videos, etc., but most always using facts, and story telling to get the point across.
So, just wanted to let you know that your effort is being multiplied out there/here.

I know at least one where the video owner deleted it, though . . . not surprising. I know you can 'speak' your own mind, but if it helps, here's a couple of examples, feel free to use them . . .
There is certainly a lot to be wanted in the history of Israel's modern day creation, but that would be seeking perfection, and there is not a nation on earth who could come out looking all pious with an examination of its creation. Americans in the U.S. should be looking at the land they took, without having any millennia of history in that land as the Jews had in Israel and Judea. The term 'casting stones' comes to mind.
Then . . .
The situation is this. Arabs, Muslims, who have taken the Greek/Roman named Palestine as their identifier (and only did this roughly a hundred years back), are religious fanatics, a predominate percentage of whom seek the deaths of all non-Muslims. Unlike the so called Palestinian 'people' of a mere 100 years, the Jews have a history going back millennia in Israel and Judea, a millennium before Jesus' time. Also, recall that Joseph and Mary were JEWISH, from Bethlehem, just south of Jerusalem, and had moved to Nazareth well NW of Jerusalem. By that time, the Romans were the colonial power, they more or less pushed the Jews out of Israel and Judea, and renamed the region Palestine to help disassociate it from the Jews (Judea) , after a term, Philistia, coined by the Greeks when the Philistines (from the Aegean Sea region) occupied the coastal area.
Not every single Muslim is hostile, but the religious leaders use Jihad to satisfy their own personal need for power, inciting their ignorant followers to kill the infidels as their way to a Muslim heaven. This is inbred in them. The Jews in Israel MUST do what they need to do to safeguard their families, else they would be butchered by Jihadists. Which means having to take strong safeguards with the Palestinian population. It is up to the Palestinian people to WANT to live in peace, and that is not on the table for them. STOP falling for their 'victim-hood' ploys. Most Palestinian men would kill you as soon as look at you. My lord, they kill their own children if they discover they are homosexual. Two things that I've already noticed in places like Afghanistan and Iraq, that can just as easily be happening here, is that hamas fighters, are wearing civilian clothing, so it's very easily to disarm yourself, hide your weapon and hide amongst the civilian population and if you were to be killed in combat, you can be very easily stripped of weapons and kit and claimed as a civilian casualty.

As an American I have often used one of the arguments that you use in this video; the fact that we are so worried about identity politics, abortion law and gender-affirming care just goes to show that we have it incredibly easy. I cannot imagine any previous generation in any known civilization has had such privilege.

First I’ll say I almost completely agree with you. I just want to add, that there’s been studies that show the Roman Empire and some other great empires like the Qing dynasty, British empire, and the Ottoman Empire, all had similar social proclivities like caring about sexuality and gender roles. It seems to be a sociological phenomenon that arises during comfort. Too much time worrying about the wrong things in life.
Leading up to WW2 the Germans too like Israel had developed a culture of innovation, sensed superiority, apartheid, then ethnic cleansing and occupation.
After the war they spent the next 70 years learning how propaganda had led them to have zero empathy and little understanding for those they once oppressed.
Let's all hope Palestinians once freedom comes, do not follow Zion and Germany down the same cycle of indifference and cruelty, given how betrayed they feel having lived in peace with Jews for millennia. May they teach you something about humanity, if so they are indeed, the chosen people.
