Joel McCormick. He is a local Rising Fawn resident. He is now the Commissioner of Dade County. He is married to one of the Forrester Sisters of the 80's fame also from Dade Co.
@@t4texastom587 I like the resonator guitar. I used to play one myself. Norman is a pretty good resonator player, but his flat top is much better. Play what you play best. I can play the same tones as Blake on the flat top, but I can't make it sound like Blake.

Norman played dobro on some early seminal recordings (including Doc Watson stuff) before the era of Mike Auldridge and Jerry Douglas
There is no limit to this man’s talent!
WoW, what a legendary
dobro player. Norman Blake's dobro playing
on many of Johnny Cash's 1960s recordings is simply
fantastic.
I love you Norman Blake - you've inspired me and my music beyond words for eternity.
He creates such beautiful sounds with this instrument and makes it look easy. I do not think it is easy

Merci beaucoup pour votre commentaire. Je suis tellement content que vous ayez apprécié.
I have just recently discovered Norman's music for myself , and I absolutely adore it..
Yes, it's from Saturday June 2nd, 2012. A rare performance indeed. I was very fortunate to not only attend, but to record a few tunes.
this is lovely. great, real voice and amazing dobro.
Outstanding capture of a piece of time and music. Thanks for posting.
Just great really enjoyed that relaxed version of this great song.
My personal favorite dobro...thanks Norman

Norman, Nancy & James: Rising Fawn String Ensemble
Live at Barking Legs Theater in Chattanooga TN.
Great song well played. Norman's dobro playing is perfect. I wish the sound quality was better. Thumbs up anyway.
Yeah, the audio isn't great. Recorded with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. At least I was able to sit close. :)

Nicely done.
😊 thanks
Is this a recent performance? If so, it's good to see that he's still out there playing gigs.
Why wasn't Nancy playing with him?
Who is the gentleman playing the guitar? looks a little like Bob Johnston which it cant be.

I am not sure. I don't think she was even at the venue.
LMFM!!

Stick to the flat top, Norman.
Wouldnt be the Wabash Cannonball without a dobro.

If you don't like the dobro, why are you watching? Norman Blake is one of the most revered dobro players ever.
