- Lourdés loved going out today and jumped the hedges effortlessly. Tonic has already been out twice this week so needed a rest. Lourdés is also better suited for hill work as she is finer and lighter up the hills!

Seeing the decorated bridles, bring me so much joy you don’t understand.
So much skill involved. I am in awe of those horses and their riders. They are a fit bunch of people.
Love that there is a poney too just keeping up with the big horses. I guess you can do this with any good jumper in good condition. Connemara or Cob..
Man those hedges seem easy at first from far away but watching you go over they seem so daunting lol

This was my dream when I was a child/in my teens to go for a trail hunt! How fun but now I am not for the jumping ha ha ha
Hunting is equal parts fear and exhilaration! The excitement you get when you finish in one peace is the best lol.

Very christmassy...with tinsel decorating your horse's brow band. Very exciting ride...thought it a wee bit dangerous with someone stopping right before a jump. Glad that all riders handled it well and avoided an accident. 👍
My brothers and I used to go cubbing like that before breakfast and school. What a dreadful life for 3 brothers in Shropshire.🦊

I am a big fan of Tonic. Even if your mare seems to be faster. Tonic seems to be easier to handle, more reliable etc. Or just like him better.

Just watching this and I’m terrified I definitely think hunting is not something I’d want to do I’ll just stick to my pottering around a xc course and showjumping with a little bit of dressage 😅

I tried a xc ride after I had fallen off over a jump a couple weeks prior and rolled over my neck...I was 100% fine but I think I definitely knocked my confidence and after going on the xc ride which sounded like a good idea my lack of confidence got the best of me and I ended up pulling out about 30 minutes in, I was petrified 🙈 will definitely give a xc/ hunt ride another go possibly next year tho when my confidence is well back lol

no they won’t because when hunting you go on roads as well and you can’t wear studs on the road

I'm sorry. It does look fun! But, it looks like a way to get hurt by someone else. Too many riders cutting in front of you or stopping before jumps etc. You're lucky to get out of there alive. I would need a stiff drink at the end lol.
