I hope no one takes this advice. I'm 45 and have been hearing this same bs for 25 years. I have never had trouble finding any type of physical silver, ever. Buy, but not out of fear.

you in the States are lucky:we in Holland have for decades no silver coins! I am lucky to have saved a lot of those old coins like: Rijksdaalders,Guldens,kwartjes en dubbeltjes en zelfs Zilveren Tientjes.With those coins you have a better history what money was in the old days.

Half of my stack in Junk Silver, and I don't get overly excited about stacking Rosies or Washington Quarters, but I still buy 'em and keep 'em in-line with about how many I have of the other. I keep 'em proportional. So for every 100 Silver dollars I have, I have 200 halves. For every 200 halves, I'll have 400 quarters. Same applies to the dimes, split between Rosies & Mercs, though Mercs are by far, my favorite. It's all about discipline if you have goals to meet. But yeah, 90% Silver is one area where I've identified almost no appreciable downside. They are always going to be rising in price, if not for the Silver, then for their increased rarity over time.

You need quarters., there is no other way to get 1/4 Troy ounce(35 cents face) without a quarter in junk silver. Most of us who stack constitutional silver is for purposes of barter in the future. So you’re going to need to make a quarter ounce. Quarter plus dime is the only way. Tell me I’m wrong
I don’t stack silver or gold for a shtf I stack food , ammo , medicine , seeds , I learn survival skills , etc. 98% of the population has no idea what bullion is so yes I’m going to say that you are Wrong. You can’t eat silver , you can’t start a fire with silver , you can’t drink it . Skills and survival tools will be used for barter.
You arent going to be bartering for anything.

I'm stacking several types of silver got a roll of old Rosie's and mercury's working on Barber at the same time several others. I like 10 oz for weight but even when I can't buy weight I always buy some constitutional every paycheck

Washington quarters are my favorite constitutional silver. They are the best size to hold and handle. Also they sound the best.
Too bad the Washington quarters were ruined after the 50 states & DC/territories.

Love those gaurdhouae boxes! Wish i had one of each denomination filled up in one of those boxes but instead i have most my 90 percent in bags ive been filling up an empty monster box with. I reached my goal of having 100 ounces silver weight in constitutional silver and just been focusing on silver bullion, gold and my Dansco Morgan date set album of course 😁 so dont really have the cash for Constitutional left over. I do only need $6 in 40% Kennedys to finish a tube, how much is a good price for 40%ers? You've definitely blown my stack out of the water. Keep up the great work.

You tbh but I wouldn’t pay much over spot for 40% . Bullion is definitely been my top lately. I finished my 10oz Brit challenge I just need to add 7 rcm bars to finish my rcm 10oz stack and of course my eagle monster box 😳 lol after those challenges are done including the mercury box I’m going to back it up on some 1oz gold !

I once bought walking liberty halves for under $130. Doesn't seem like that long ago.
I have a soft spot for winged liberty (mercury) dimes. But I'm your opposite lol I'm attracted to washington quarters like a magnet! 😂
And then it would probably be Franklin halves. Haven't bought any Rosies. I do save them when I find them in change(maybe 6 of them).

In Switzerland where i live it took me 1 year and 9 months to get 95 dollar face in 90 percent US junk silver (Half Dollars, Quarters and Dimes). Not easy to find and quite expensive in my country.

I thought about doing the guardhouse boxes but is it really worth the extra cost? I have plenty 90% stored in plastic bags but I guess the boxes would make counting and storage a little easier.

But when your surrounded by massive amount of better newer chips, the need for the old chips fade.. 😂.. Me I'm into libertad's, but do stack maples, krugerrand and American Eagles (gold and silver wise).. I try for 200 ozt per year in those, and numismatic wise, libertad's, Australian mint, and one offs from places like Scottsdale mint that contracts out to places in the Caribbean Africa and many others... And alway try to keep mintage under 25k or at most 100k (sometimes)... but when I comes to constitutional silver, I believe that it shouldn't be more than spot, and if it is there better be a really good reason why.. I do own a few Morgan's and some $0.03 pieces and so forth.. But never had the want to stack it... but if I did have to pick one piece of junk silver to stack for what's a a s*** hits the fan scenario, it definitely would be Mercury dimes... I just don't see the need for having 90% silver for anything other than that really, cousin reality I would prefer the pure form of silver in a s*** hit the fan scenario for Metallurgy projects that I would need to do... or even medical reasons as well but I don't really have the resources to make that... anyways that's just a another perspective or you from am old dude who's been stacking for quite a few decades.. take it with a grain of salt man, I just love to see people actually getting on board the commodity train and seeing silver for what it really is... anyways take care have a great day✌️

I have a whole bunch of 90% constitutional silver ( mostly dimes , quarters , nickels , half dollars and dollars ). I them in a very old Oil City National Bank coin sack that is zippered at the top so I don't lose any. The bag isn't even half full yet. But still the coin bag 💰 is hard to carry around.
* Here's a tip for anyone looking to find Free constitutional silver at face value. Check your local coin ⭐ star next time you're at the store. the coin star doesn't recognize it as real money and will normally spit it back out. * That's where I got most of my silver coins from. Once I got a Morgan silver dollar from the coin star.

An asset is only useful if you're willing to liquidate. I'm all for buying things you like/enjoy but if if/when SHTF, unless you're actually willing to sell the silver you like, there's no reason to stack silver as a hedge/preservation of wealth. If quarters are a good deal then stack them; they can be the first pieces you liquidate.
