Me and an old coworker while at Penn swear we invented a sandwich called the founders special. It was a standard cheesesteak with teriyaki and Swiss. Nix the bell peppers, add honey mustard. The cfo came one time, and saw us making it, and a month later it was on the menu. Only change was the cheese. Extra prov. And no honey mustard. But people saw me and him eating it with the hm and requested it.

Looks great! When I lived in the suburbs of Cleveland there was a Penn Station a few blocks away. I never went there and then moved to Texas. We don't have that around here. It's on my bucket list for the future though!

Just went there today and did not get my typical cheesesteak but got their Dagwood. It was slamming. But you definitely need to try their hand cut fries.

Multi Grain all the time. Especially on that sweet onion teriyaki.
Penn Station is a true gem. Get the fries next time. In fact, on your way back, set a sandwich w/ the fries!

You missed out by not getting the fries. I always order the Dagwood with a small fry and then put some fries on my sub. You should try it.

I have eaten at Penn Station Skokie location and enjoyed the cheesesteak with onion mushroom cheese and banana pepper rings. It was better than expected. Cheers.

The Italian at Penn Station is legit, I used to get it with extra mustard plus a bit of Italian dressing, and various peppers. Hahaha #SauceyBoy

I usually get the italian but I also feel like it's the one that can be made really well or not very well. Can't really go wrong with anything at Penn Station but I would say it would be between the italian or the pizza sub next

Penn Station has the best banana peppers from a chain restaurant to me! Got that little bit of spice! The cheesesteak is my fav! I get no mushrooms or tomato sauce!

I live in Rochester, Michigan, and I had Penn Station there for the first time, like 15 years ago and have been in love ever since. Their fresh cut fries are awesome, their cookies are awesome, I love their cheesesteaks. When I was pregnant I think I lived on Penn Station. I'm editing to add that Penn Station wins over Jersey Mike's totally. They even have artichokes, yum.

My opinion before I finish your review. BASED on my OWN experience, NOPE. More bread than meat. Low quality meat and the fries were FORGETTABLE. Glad you enjoyed it, but I went ONCE. And never went back. And at Jersey Mikes the guy taking my order was on a FaceTime call while on the clock
Don’t know if you took my recommendation or not but I LOVE PENN STATION (but you kinda goofed up by not getting the fries, they’re just as good as the sub.)
