be sure to understand that the larger the number of strings get the worst the sound becomes. i say this because i love your profile pic and I love low Tunings. :D but i do it on 6 string vintage fender with new changed pickups.. This way you'll get a more clear sound and orgasmic punchy bass attacks from your chords rather than the blured and hummy sound 8 and 9 strings make these days. no sound engenner what sover will tell you that they sound decent.
Hey Bro, what string gauges ur using ? and brand ? got my seven guitat tuned to ADGCFAD as well....my low A is 0.62 gauge string .. Earnie Ball.. thought i am not getting a good tone at all... bar chords sounds a bit muddy.... same with power chords that takes the Low A and D. Any tip? Was thinking of increasing the low A gauge to .068 Cheers !
